Is lunch meat allowed at all? Like the pre sliced stuff at walmart in the plastic containers? I know it has the word meat in it lol... But isn't it processed & unhealthy? Just wondering... Oh, I'm not watching sodium. Thanks everyone!

There are no forbidden or "allowed" foods on the LE diet. It is about staying within your daily totals for calories, fat and protein and about not snacking to keep your bloodsugar kind of low.

I can't imagine they have much protein in it. Drunken Cockatoo is right -- no forbidden foods. Just make sure it fits into your overall totals for the day and go for it :)

Good luck!

just like hot dogs and bacon - but do be aware that some of them can have a good deal of protein. Don't assume that they'll all have the same, and go from balogna to roast beef because the rb will have way more.

Okay cool. I think I got some ham to make a sandwich. I don't have a tough time with protein bc I only eat two meals per day. So that leaves me with 20-25 g max for each meal. Which isn't too bad. Thanks!!
