Hi! Very new to this side, I have been on the HT board (failing miserably) for a few years, but moving on.

I'm curios about clomid, obviously because it seems to have good results and I tend to have a lot of ewcm. To those who use it for swaying, are you getting a prescription? If so, what for?

I may be able to get a prescription, I have a shorter (10 day luteal phase), and DH has been through chemo (his sperm is relatively back to normal) and we're not certain if there are underlying issues. But do they prescribe clomid if they are worried about semen quality? Or only ovulation?

I know I have a strong resistance to these stimulating meds, so I'm fairly certain I wouldn't overstimulate my ovaries. If I can only get 5 eggs on a huge dose of injectables, 50mg of Clomid isn't likely to do a whole lot.

Sorry if I seem clueless! I'll get there eventually.

Clomid won't be prescribed for any fertility issues other than ovulation I doubt because of the way it works it would no doubt make it harder for you to get pregnant because it makes it such a hostile enviroment. There is an essay on here about Clomid but I cant find it atm it seems to be hiding from me

I already mentioned this to H4Kay but anyone who has poor response to injectibles or DOR or is over 40/late 30's should not be doing Clomid. It will send FSH skyhigh and egg quality will tank. There are many doctors who will hand it out knowing that it won't work for people (this is esp. true of the late 30's ove 40's set) pretty much just to get you to go away. :( So you can't rely on your doctor looking out for your interests on that.
