Every four days? When to start?

I've noticed that people mention either one attempt or every 4 days. I don't understand how the every 4 days works but as this is our first clomid cycle i am not chancing opks with the risk of false positives and it means i can relax a bit more.

If AF arrives when she's meant to (:fx: im impatient) I would start clomid for the 5 days on weds 2nd. I know you usually ovulate between 5-10 days after the last dose. My issue is when do we start dtd in the 4 day sense? I plan to do this the first 2 cycles and if all else fails the last cycle will be sperm meets egg plan.

As far as I understand it (and this is my plan too) you just make sure you DTD every four days starting whenever. The reasoning is that your fertile window is four days so whenever you ovulate, whether you've a long or short cycle etc, you'll still get an attempt in the fertile window. Once I've done LE for the 90 days we're going to start DTD every four days so I don't have to chart temps or OPKs.

I am new to the 4 days thing but let say you take clomid cd5-9. dtd starting cd5 and every 4 days after. It would make it easier so you don't stress with over planning.

I took clomid late and also O'd late (and2x's) but if I would have stopped and thought about it for myself my month would have looked like this;
Af cd1-3
Clomid cd4-8
dtd cd4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19
