I've been telling DH about swaying and he's curious, but highly skeptical. (He works in the sciences, so he's very analytical.)
What do you think are the best articles and the best of atomic's essays to explain it to him, succintly?
Kinda like an "Atomic's Greatest Hits" list lol.

There's actually a section with links to scientific studies, I think you need to be a dream member, you have to be careful pulling DH into swaying, mine wasn't really supportive the first time and I did some things a bit "covertly"

besides, it's what the Dw does that sways more than DH. Good luck, I hope he's supportive!

I told mine some of the things couples are doing. I was expecting to get shot down but his reply was "well we only have one more shot at this". So basically I think he's all in.... We'll see.

I'm very fortunate. My DH is very supportive. He's willing to do anything I ask. He wants to see what some of the sway tactics are and determine for himself what he believes. Right now he thinks swaying is mostly old wives' tales, like tying off the left testicle, and stuff like that. I've explained the diet to him a little, but I'm not very good at explaining things. He also wants to learn about HT, and then decide together which route is best for us.

eh, the studies section sucks. that is on my "wish list" of things to fix if I can ever get this perpetually crabby, constantly breastfeeding toddler off my lap and can start typing two handed LOL.

I have one essay here and need to finish the second part where I explain how swaying works succinctly for skeptical outsidersbut you may find this helpful for now. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/swaying-studies-scientific-research/32383-defense-swaying-part-1-a.html

this is a bit more for people who already know the jist of swaying but may still be helpful http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/12340-understanding-trivers-willard-hypothesis.html

I'd LOVE to HT but we have nothing that I know if in canada.... Would be so expensive to travel for it :(

I'm wanting to really consider HT, but am worried about finding a good place. I'm in PA, and the closest place I know of that does PGD for gender is G&IVF in VA. I'm nervous about that because a google search of them seems to produce more negative comments than positive.

Well, I am a scientist as well (Molecular biology and human genetics) and to be onest most of the papers concerning gender selection are very, very bad with many mistakes! I only know one paper published in a high ranking journal (New England Journal) - and thatīs quite old. However I think that research in that field is a bit tricky concerning ehtical and moral aspects. (think of India and China)

Anyway I belive in it and I think it is possible to influence the odds! :fx:

E.g. LE diet can be explaind very nicely and convincing since it is observed in animal kingdom within some species.

remember, sometimes the people who are the most motivated to post comments are those who had a bad experience. :)

Did you mean my post?
I just wanted to tell here that he maby will not be convinced by reading the papers, since he is scientist. I am sure that all my collegueas would not take them seriously. Sorry but hardcore science is different!! (however I do not know what exactly here husband is doing an maby he will like the papers!!)

That does not mean that I do not belive in gender swaying and I really, really appreciate your work and I admire your support Atomic and I think that you are doing excellent work Atomic!!

Here is my favourite out of "atomic's greatest hits" :)
Maybe not as scientific as some others, but this is the one that best explained the theory to me, when I first found this website

Best of luck to you, whether its HT or swaying :)

No not at all, I was referring to the mention of bad remarks about a fertility clinic!

I agree about the studies and I would LOVE to have them all put into order but just haven't gotten to that point yet. :)
