Does anyone believe in mediums?

I ask this because my mum and sister went to one last night and they said he was spot on with lots of stuff and when my mum was in with him he asked her if she had any questions and one of her questions was

Will my daughter (me) ever have a girl?

His response was yes she will, there is one on the way.

Ok im asking this as im currently on the pill as my coil moved so had to be removed. And no one knows this except hubby and i but this cycle after i took my pill last week i was sick and forget to take another and i missed a pill also last week.

The night before my mum saw medium i had a dream that i was pregnant. Also last night i dreamt i was pregnant...maybe the dreams are related to me realising i missed my pill and it was on my mind???

Im on cd26 but dont know when i o'd and what days we dtd or the days i missed pills. My cycles vary but avarage about 31days. I did do a test this morning but was negative.

I just wonder if there is any truth in what mediums say...i have never been to one and am skeptical, it just got to me because of my dream and missed pills.

I do. Oh, most of them are total fakes, but there are some real ones out there. Whether your mom saw a real one or a fake, only time will tell, I guess.

I'd stop taking the pill for the rest of this cycle, if you haven't already. Just in case. You certainly have a possibility with missing pills. My sister got pregnant on the pill.

My mum and sister never been to one and were skeptical but they said he was amazing. Told them stuff no one else would know especially a complete stranger. The people that came through also names were right and said stuff that they would say.

I can only hope he was right and there is a girl on the way for me even if not now im happy with sometime in the future...we were planning ttc next year.

I haven't stopped my pill, i will do that this cycle as i missed a couple. I really didnt think about being sick would bring my pill up...even though when you actually think about it it makes sense...dope!
I should know better as ds1 was a pill baby.

in principle no, but I have had a couple dreams that really seemed to predict the future so I don't totally discount it. part of being a scientist (to me anyway) is not shutting down the potential of anything being true, simply that we may not have discovered it yet. :)

I do not want to ruin your dream for a girl but....

When he asked them questions did he lets say ask "I see a name that starts either m or n".... if so mediums wait for the person to respond with either a smile, shock, or nodding. It is common for someone to ask leading questions and work from there.

When your mom asked about you did she say your name, show a picture, or say another daughter??? He might have thought she was asking about your sister.

And did he say he had any training? that is normally a sign of a fake. Really mediums do not get training.

Hi purple i dont think he said anything about training and he didnt ask letters of names he named them by their names like my grandad real name anthony he said tony which we all called him and my nan came through whos name is Margaret but he said peggy which we all called her.

They said he didnt ask any probing questions, he told my other sister he didnt think she would have anymore children. I dont know if mum mentioned my name but i know she didnt take any photos with her.

I am a true skeptical on the whole thing and will be until i actually go to one myself! I honestly think it would freak me out tho.

Dont worry purple i wont go rushing into ttc thinking im getting a girl because he said i will have one. Im sure hubby and i just make boys and when we do ttc we will be happy with another boy.

With what mum was saying though it did make me wonder if there could be truth in it

Which pill are you taking? How long were the coils in?

My DS1 was conceived on the pill but it was an estrogen pill I think. DS2 was a month after Mirena fell out. I just got off of a progesterone pill this month to conceive this time.

If the coils were in long enough to scar then it can lower the chance of fertility a lot. When I thought about coils the Dr said that if they are in for 3-4mths there is enough scarring to close it off about 95% should they fall out. But when I told DH about it he didn't want me to do anything perm. yet because he secretly wanted another baby.

Had mirena coil in jan 2013 but it went missing had a scan and it moved so had to be removed begin of May 2014 and as maybe ttc next year dr said best go on pill and put me on cerazette

I do believe, my Mum has seen some amazing ones. I also think there are a lot of fakes out there.
My Mum and I both saw one at the end of 2012, we didn't go together, we live in different areas, but we didn't tell each other we were going either. The one I saw was not great. Got told finances would improve. That I'm a quiet person. Apparently my Nan and husbands Grandad came through, and although that part was quite good there was no specifics. The one thing I wanted to hear was that I was going to have a baby as I'd been trying for more than 2 years. She didn't mention another baby at all.
The one my Mum saw shortly afterwards was spot on, and quite specific and told her that I'd be having another in 2013. My Mum never told me if she was told a gender though. Anyway I got my BFP shortly after and had my 4th boy in October 2013.
Years ago my Mum saw one who said "the younger one of your twins will be in hospital with his ear, when he is discharged, check the medicine because it will be wrong" at this point they didn't even know he was deaf in one ear. It wasn't until a few years later he was in hospital, and was given a prescription when he left and when they collected his medicine it had the wrong name on it! The same medium told her that her Nan was trying to give her a baby but couldn't understand why she wasn't taking it as she couldn't see her taking a pill, my Mum had the injection for years LOL

I never was into any of that but I guess I believe now that people can be pshycic. My Sisters, friends, Mums, Friend (Make sense!?) is supposedly phsycic and my Sister and friend saw her on a casual basis, like not meeting for a reading or anything and she looked at my Sister and randomly said "Your Sisters next birth will be a multiple one."
That was a year before my twins were born. When I announced the pregnancy my Sisters friend kept saying with a grin that it would be twins and I couldn't understand how she sounded so sure so obviously this lady has been right before. After the 12 week scan when I told them it was twins, she told me about this lady.

Now I really REALLY want to meet with her to know if I will ever have a girl but I am not sure I could in case she said no and if she did say yes then I do not think I would believe her. I wont believe I'll ever have a girl until I am holding her in my arms.

So yeah, never was a believer but how do you explain that one?

You know, often mediums' predictions come true just bcz a person started to really believe in it. So I think you'd better imagine what you want and everyday think of it as if of an absolutely real thing, then it may come true ;)
