Yeah I know quite a few people who ended up staying after their husbands got out. I have a few friends stationed at Pendleton who can't wait to get back to Jacksonville...

It just wasn't for me...I did like staying on base though (we lived at New River for the last two years we were there).

Yes it was absolutely AWFUL. We had temps in the 107-110 range for two weeks and the fires constantly - last year too. All around us. I have never been so stressed out!! Horrible!!!
