Sorry to hear Seebee. It would be quite stressful I imagine knowing you only have a short timeframe to get pg.

I'm in limbo still...just waiting until it's O time. Why does this month seem to be dragging on forever!! Steph I have cheat days every Saturday. It's where I eat what ever I want whenever I want although I do try to not snack or go to crazy. I am eating meat about 3 times a week but only chicken and I am making sure the portion size is small. Got Dh bringing me home some iron tablets tonight. Now can anyone tell me is it correct to have them only 3 times a week while on LE diet?

Is anyone else second guessing having another baby? I don't know if its nerves or what but I feel as though my 2yo is exhausting right now and I can't do this. I'm also a new stay at home mum and struggling to adjust to the day to day life of that. I keep telling myself that once I have a baby my 2yo will be nearly 3yo and much easier and my eldest will be at school. I just sometimes feel as though I'm not a good mother and I don't know if I can handle 3 kids...especially 3 boys!!

Well officially official. The witch made her appearance tonight. Going to fallow this thread in hopes to see lots of BFP's!

Mars I have gone back and forth on whether I really want another right now. My two year old is such a pain about 50% of the time. I remind myself this bad phase only lasts such a short time! My DH is having big time doubts as well, he's worried I won't give him enough attention with another. I think it's normal when you're ttc though, especially when month after month you're not getting preggo!

July 18th, 2014, 12:09 AM
I had a nice visit with the infertility doctor today and DH is on board. He's even willing to get a semen analysis.
I have to go in for a pelvic basline u/s on one of the first five days of my cycle. If that's okay then I can do Clomid 50mg for 5 days with the option of and HSG to see if there are any blocked tubes (I heard conception rates are higher after these so I will probably do it). I then can do a trigger shot as well. I'm not sure if I'll do that or not, but it would be nice to know to time our attempt well. He also prescribed progesterone for the luteal phase of my cycle as well.

I'm only 9dpo right now, but after my 7dpo progesterone only being 6.6 I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant. If I'm not I won't be bummed now knowing that I have a really good plan for next month!

Ugh... that sucks seebee! AF reared her ugly head for me a few days ago and it seems like an eternity before we can make another attempt and then I know it will be another LOOOOONNNNGG wait to test again. If we aren't preggo this cycle, we are skipping next month to avoid having a due date on my birthday or on our anniversary. Hoping for lots more BFPs this month--they give me hope that it is possible to get preggo while swaying! =)

Mars - yes if doing iron or zinc it's 3 times a week.

3 girl - good to hear you have a plan. A friend of mine was trying for a couple if years, and then the month after her tubes were cleared she conceived so it does seem to be helpful.

Also, if this implantation when would I expect to see a bfp? Any reassurance would be gratefully received. Just found out my sister has breast cancer so really hoping to have some good news. : (

Thank you all so much for putting up with my venting and thanks be to god I am pregnant!!! I havent been able to stop shaking since I took the test! And you all know before my DH haha, im going to wait until he gets home from work. Well I had better cancel that alcohol order now lol

I cant believe I am finally PG

blue - this was probably 7th morning urine lol. I usually would test with FMU as thats what is recommended but today I tested at lunchtime, its 12dpo. I had BFNS on cheapies and this one was positive. Last time TTC I had BFN on cheapies at 10dpo and then faint positives on cheapies at 11dpo with FMU and SMU and a digi BFP later that day - that was my DS.

Mars - sorry you are on CD1 hon and that you are feeling unappreciated by your DH. It really takes its toll on us ladies, I dont think they really understand.

Yay!! Congrats steph!!

Thanks all! Got digital confirmation today, so it feels real. :) (Though dh still asked, "any chance the test is wrong?" Ha! Men.)

I'll tell my mom, just because she'll know something is up when I don't drink at our regular Wednesday Wine & Cheese night. We're having a big family party this weekend, and while I'd like to wait to tell them all, I have a feeling it may slip out. Especially if people start handing me cocktails and I have to decline.

Yay!! Congrats girlie!!

Hey ladies! So it's gone a bit quiet in here. I feel like the last week or so has gone soooo slow. We are finally coming up to O in the next few days....I think. Not really sure but we are going to do a 3 day attempt this month starting from tonight (think tonight is too early though) and go through until the 30th.
I'm annoyed at myself as I am really hungry this week and my no snacking rule hasn't held up to well and I haven't been counting the calories so I reckon I have gone over :( Plus I stupidly bought chocolate and chips and been eating them. Bad bad me! DH is away for 2 nights in a couple days so I will make myself eat well then. He is trying to avoid red meat too which is nice except he forgets Pies and Burgers are red meat lol!
One thing that worries me is that I still haven't lost any weight and I'm actually at my heaviest weight ever...only like 2kgs heavier so I hope that doesn't make a difference.

Since my July 2WW was a bust, I'm getting ready to make TTC Cycle #2 attempt later this week/early next week. Ugh.... being patient sucks! Even though I am totally dreading being pregnant again because I had horrible morning sickness the entire 9 months with DS#1, and I'm more than a little apprehensive at trying to manage 2 children*, it would be nice to just get ON WITH IT!!! I know all you ladies out there feel the same about playing the waiting game, so I thought i would share my little rant for the day to a set of sympathetic readers. =)

*I know that managing two children is probably a walk in the park for many of you ladies who have 2, 3, 4+ kids already, I simply can't imagine how it actually happens.

But having a child (or a second child in my case) reminds me of the Ray Bradbury quote: “If we listened to our intellect we'd never have a love affair. We'd never have a friendship. We'd never go in business because we'd be cynical. [...] Well, that's nonsense. You're going to miss life. You've got to jump off the cliff all the time and build your wings on the way down.”

Here's to all of us jumping off the cliff and building our wings on the way down!!

Help me please I'm new here and some of the Abbreviation I don't understand. We are swaying for a girl and I am doing the o+12 so should you start counting at time of o pain or wait tell your opk is positive? Also I'm taking clomid and very dry right now and my temp is average hope I'm doing this right. Taking supplements also.

Christi
July 23rd, 2014, 06:13 PM
Welcome Kelliekellg! Which abbreviations do you not understand? I think atomic posted an index of all the various acronyms somewhere to explain what all this stuff means. I remember having the same problem in the beginning too. You get used to it. =)

As for O+12, I think that is not a great way to go because it is nearly impossible to pinpoint with any accuracy when the DAY of ovulation is, much less try to pin point the precise hour of ovulation. Because of this, you are more likely to miss making your attempt (unprotected sex) when you are actually fertile because the egg dies pretty quickly after it is released if it isn't fertilized.

I think most people here will tell you that if you are trying to conceive (TTC) a girl, you should make one attempt (unprotected sex) with your dear husband (DH) as soon as you get a positive ovulation prediction kit (+OPK). OPK test positive within 8-48 hours before ovulation. Of course, when you get a positive OPK, you can't always know whether you are the kind that has 8 hours until O (ovulation) or 48 hours to O.

Personally, I suspect that the people who were successful at getting pregnant with O+12 just miss calculated when they actually O'd (ovulated) since it is nearly impossible to pin point the moment of O without an ultrasound, and actually made their attempt at or just before O.

For clarification, when we talk about "one attempt" what we mean is that you only have sex once during your fertile period when you get a positive OPK.

Fingers-crossed (FX) for your sway!

Hi ladies, I never officially updated this thread that our first attempt was a BFN. I ended up ovulating earlier than I thought and I think we DTD on O day. So frustrating! I was on vacation during the 2WW and took 5 days off diet and 3 days off exercise. I gained 0 lbs, so maybe I wasn't as bad as I thought? (usually I gain 2-3 lbs when I travel and indulge). Anyways, we were going to take this month off because we have a big trip to Europe next month and maybe being pg for it isn't the best idea. That being said, my entire family is so so sick (feels like the flu.. it's this awful summer cold that keeps dragging!), so I'm considering being super relaxed about swaying (DTD every 4 days, tracking nothing, no temping, etc) and just seeing what happens. My DH hasn't eaten meat in a week (literally the longest he's gone without meat in his life!), and we've been eating hardly nothing (bread, a small potato, etc). I feel like I have to attempt this month just because we're so worn down and seems like that would sway pink! Sorry for the ramble...

Christi- the waiting to TTC again sucks! I love that quote. I'm also very very scared to be pg again (had AWFUL MS last time as well) and very scared to deal with a toddler + pregnancy. Glad I'm not the only one that's scared to have 2 kids!

ratcliffe/kitkat - hope to see BFPs from you ladies soon!

Kellie - please please please if you are on clomid don't attempt O+12. It has TERRIBLE odds of conception and doesn't really do much. Just DTD once in your fertile window and you'll be great. You're on Clomid so you really need to TTC ASAP rather than trying things that don't improve odds of pink and just hurt your chance of getting pregnant. Sorry if that sounded harsh, just want to see you get pregnant with a pink bundle soon!

stephk
July 24th, 2014, 12:29 AM
Christi - good luck! I am also nervous about the next baby coming along but we will be fine :)

Bluebonnet - if it was me, I would attempt. It sounds like you ruined absolutely nothing. What's meant to be will be and remember it may well be your month. What if you skipped this month and then had 6 unsuccessful months. As you say, you can be super relaxed about it.

Kellie - welcome and I agree with bluebonnet, it's stressful enough working out the day of O never mind the hour!! Clomoid is already doing a lot to sway so please do not reduce odds of conception by persuing O+12 - if doing opks, one attempt at positive OPK is getting good results

Ratcliffe - sounds like you will test soon, good luck!

And to my mate Kitkat welcome back once again, everything crossed it's your month - definitely your turn!

Sorry, have posted this in my other post too but wanted to see what you guys think?

Been for my bloods today so will see next week (tested for PCOS/Thyroid) as now CD57.

Me and dh have carried on bding every 4 days. Last night was "on" night and while we were bding I kept getting very sharp twinges in my right side. Like right in my side not where you normally get o pain nearer the front. Also had wet brown tinged CM (sorry tmi!) Now today CM is thick and pinky/brown coloured?

I'm confused, could it be implantation at cd57?? Doesn't seem possible to me!

Christi
July 24th, 2014, 05:50 PM
That sucks Lelephant1... it is still early at 10DPO unless you are using a super high sensitivity test, but having recently received a bunch of BFN myself, I know how frustrating it can be. But you know what they say, it isn't over until AF rears her ugly head. Keeping my fingers crossed a tiny line starts to show up over the next few days.

Lyagirl, I think you can totally get implantation bleeding on CD57 because if your cycle is that long, you definitely didn't ovulate at the typical CD14. But just because you aren't ovulating regularly, doesn't mean that you aren't ovulating at all, so for you, CD57 may still be 6-12 DPO. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the spotting is implantation spotting and not the beginning of your long overdue period. Good luck!!

Lyagirl-- are you doing opk's at all? If you have any you might want to take one now. You can have ovulation spotting as well, which I actually had this month and have had it at least two times in the past. This cycle I had two days before ovulation where I had brown spotting combined with sticky cm one day and watery cm the next. I'm taking temps, opks, and charting so I know it was definitely before ovulation and not after. Could be the same for you or could be implantation spotting. Either way, both sound like good signs!

Horray, my OvaCue just populated with the high fertility days for this cycle. It projects a peak day on Monday, so that's probably when we will make our attempt for this month (assuming it is confirmed by a +OPK). I have not been great on the LE diet recently in terms of calories and fat, but I have definitely been mostly vegetarian and skipping breakfast since April 1, so hopefully that will keep my LE sway alive despite some of the other dieting sins I have committed..... for some reason keep going over my daily calories and fat simply because I am eating chocolate all day--blast my co-worker who fills her office with chocolate which seems to call to me throughout the entire work day!!!

I am sticking to a pretty strict sway again this month:
1. My Supplements: Vitex, SP, Folic, Fiber, Aspirin, Calcium (without vit. d)
2. DH Supplements: Peppermint Pills and OLE
3. RepHresh: 24-48 before attempt (moving this back a bit to increases chances of conception this month, but not abandoning it altogether, at least not yet).
4. Sylk: will ask hubby to use this a little sparingly this month, he practically poured half the bottle out last month by mistake.... oops!
5. Antihistimines: Zrytec daily for 5 days before attempt, DH takes this too daily for his own allergies, not part of our sway. If I have lots of EWCM at the time of attempt, I will take an extra antihistamine a few hours before the attempt also.
6. Negative Ions: I don't think this sways at all, but we happened to buy some air purifiers for our son to help manage his allergies/asthma, so we have them running in the house anyway, so I guess it's just an added benefit.
7. Refocusing on LE Diet
8. And most importantly, ONE ATTEMPT at +OPK!!

Fingers-crossed this is our month..... (we have to take next month off to avoid a due date in the midst of the craziness of May).

Good luck to everyone else waiting on those BFP!!!

Hi girls, I would like to introduce myself.
I have a DS 8 and a DD 5 that I swayed for with IG
I then had a very big surprise this year when I found out I was pregnant. Sadly I lost DD at 16weeks.
I was not planning at all in having any more children before my angle baby but losing her has made both DH and I very keen to have more kids.
I am hoping to have my first attempt next weekend.
As mentioned my first DD was concieved under IG recommendations, but my DD angel baby was conceived while I was on the Fast Diet ( you fast for 2 days out of 7) I was also on a low sodium high calcium diet and drinking a lot of cranberryjuice( because I love it). So looking back I was doing something similar to the Gender Dreaming diet.
Good luck to everyone and here's hoping that August is our month, if July hasn't been.

Argh!!! I think we missed our window. My fertility monitor predicted o on Monday. Yesterday, opk were *almost* positive, but not quite. We were going to make our attempt tonight when I got a positive opk. Well, this morning my temp rose .9 degrees and my opk was negative. We made an attempt this morning when my son went down for a nap, but I'm so bummed we probably missed the window. We are taking a break next month, so I'm out for a while. Argh!!!

I am so sorry girlie and lyagirl.... I hope august is a better month for all of you!

Welcome, Monty. I am sorry for your loss and welcome to the group, you sound like you are well on your way to a great sway with your diet.

bluebonnet22

Christi - I ended up missing O last month! I was so annoyed. For 6 months I would ovulate CD15, exactly 2 days after my first positive OPK on CD13. We had family in town and decided to BD on CD14 (thinking it would be perfect timing). I ended up ovulating CD13 (8 or so hours after my positive OPK). I got Positive OPK on CD13 and CD14 so I assumed I was good, but when I got the positive on CD14 I had already ovulated.. GRRRRR... Anyways, hope you didn't miss your O ! GL!

Missing O last month inspired me to do the every 4 day thing this month. In case I ovulate really early or late I just didnt' want to worry about it. We are due to attempt again on CD9 (tomorrow), but I'm not sure if we will follow every 4 days exactly. I read a sway from "canithappentome" and it really inspired me. She just threw out the thermometer and tracking and just BD when she felt fertile and ended up with a girl. Trying to stop all the tracking madness this month and not POAS and just relax and let nature take it's course. Easier said than done!

Welcome monty! GL to you!

I've been away for a week with no reception so now I'm home it's nice to catch up with how all you girls are doing. Congratulations to all those who have received BFPs...it always makes me smile!
AF reared her ugly head for me about 3 days early! We are going back on the diet again tomorrow, DH is ditching the liquorice root ( he's convinced this is why it hasn't worked) and hoping that August will be our month.

I'm not sure what to do... We had an attempt on the 24th, I'm pretty sure I'm ovulating today due to CM and O pain. I've had a trying weekend with kids so have not eaten very well at all :( do I have another attempt tonight or seeing as though I fell off the LE band wagon should I leave it at the one attempt we did on the 24th and concentrate on next month?? Help!

Thanks Steph :) DH is keen to try tonight...although I don't think he is thinking with is brain if you know what I mean ;) I just wanted my attempt to be perfect and I'm worried that I have now screwed it up by eating bad. Well not bad but lots of snacking and biscuits and chips.

Mars - a few days off LE doesn't ruin an entire sway. I would have another attempt tonight if it was me.

Thanks Ladies :) I have been really good except for Saturdays (my cheat day) but if we have this attempt I will eat strict for the next week. I think I'm a little scared now :/

A few cheats won't make or break your sway. Relax and have fun and have another attempt. x

I'd do another attempt as well Mars as it's been 4 days. One cheat day won't ruin a sway. Good luck!

AF started two days early for me, so today is CD2. We didn't TTC in July so crossing fingers that August is our month!

Good luck, Mars!

I'm doing well...ish. :) Bleeding stopped today, and I am feeling lucky that at least it was fast. Started doing OPK checking again this morning! Obviously negative, but since I have no clue when I'll O now, I'm checking every morning. I usually get a +OPK around the 1st of the month, but no idea how the mc will change that this month. Or if I even want to try for egg #1. I'm totally ready to be pg again, but I've been reading that sometimes the lining isn't strong enough to support implantation right away. And I So don't want to go through this again.

That's so tough girlie! If it was me, I probably would attempt again right away because your m/c was so early. My good friend had a m/c at 8 weeks (and needed a full D&C) and attempted again literally a week after her D&C (against doctors orders). She got pg right away and now has a perfectly healthy baby girl. I'd also try the every 4 days thing rather than stressing about OPKs.

Apologies if you weren't looking for advice and I came across as too pushy. GL whatever you decide!

Good luck to the girlies who are still waiting

Hope it's implantation spotting for you ratcliffe and not AF! How many dpo are you?

Good luck Girlie in whatever you choose. I do think with an early miscarriage that happens naturally it is ok to try again right away. I've definitely heard to wait 1 cycle after a D&C as they scrape the entire lining of the uterus and this can definitely cause it to be too thin/scarred so you want to make sure you have a regular AF before TTC (my best friend is dealing with this right now after a loss at 12 weeks). Thinking of you. (((HUGS)))

im not sure officially how many dpo i am as i never got a positive opk but going on the pains i got (which could be nothing but its all i got to go off lol) Im approx 14-12 dpo, never even thought about implantation, but i dont think im lucky enough to get caught on the first month, who knows

Wow girliedreamz, that did happen very quickly. Glad you're feeling ok-ish and are already starting to plan to TTC again. Whether you decide to try to catch that first egg or wait a month, I sure hope you get a sticky bean soon. xx

Girlie - good luck with your decision. If it was me I think I would go for it straight away. But totally understand your thought process too.

Thanks, ladies! I'm thinking I may go for it if I can catch it. Dh is oddly eager to get right to it... I say oddly because he was the waffler before this.

And, yes, it was really fast. My head is kinda reeling because it feels like it's been a huge emotion ordeal... but really, it's only been a week total. Just keeping my fingers crossed that everything continues to go well and no complications pop up in the next few days.

So sorry for your friend, essnce. :( This was heartbreaking at 5 weeks, so I can only imagine how much harder it is the further along you are.

I have decided to wait a full cycle before trying again after losing my DD, but that was because I had to give birth to her and in the process got a bad infection. If I had lost her earlier and felt mentally up to it, I would have defiantly TTC straight away. When I was in the hospital the midwives told me lots of stories about women getting pregnant straight away after losing babies. Gave me lots of hope.

Hello Ladies! My hubby and I are planning on TTC in July too! I am two days out from AF and hope my journey doesn't take too long. Loads of pink dust to all of us!

This was a TTC thread from last year, there's a waiting to ttc thread somewhere on the boards you might get more replies from? Good luck! xx
