Hi all I am so thankful I have found this site, I am pg with pregnancy number 14 (baby number 15) I have given birth to two beautiful live boys , but heartbreakingly our youngest passed aged 4 months due to prematurity issues so the baby i am carrying now is our precious rainbow and we can only pray for the best outcome. I am so scared because of all of our losses 11 miscarriages and 1 neonatal I love my unborn baby so very much and part of me tells me its a girl although i know statistically its most likely a boy due to me having two boys however i did not find out the genders of all of my losses and its possible i once carried a girl so whether that changes my odds i do not know. Can i ask kindly if i add some scan pictures that you see what you think boy or girl (dont worry if your not an expert all opinions are valid and appreciated) I had the scan for these pictures at 12+6 and im having some more done tomorrow however i believe the nub is clear what do you think? Thank you in advance x

If you get more can you post those pics? I'm really not sure on this one. I do want to say congrats on your precious baby and I'm so sorry for all the heartbreak you've endured. You and your sweet baby are in my prayers and I wish you a happy and healthy nine months and a safe full term delivery

Bless you and thank you for your reply, can i ask is it the fact that the nub is split into two and not angled upwards that makes you think this? Im trying to figure out my odds x many thanks x

Thank you for your reply hun, im trying to figure out the nub theory, would you agree its because the nub is not stood up completely and has a fork in it that it looks girly? Many Thanks xx

Well I had my 14 week scan today the pictures are confusing they are not clear however of the two I have one looks girly to me with three type white lines the other looks as though there is a dangle between the babies legs but my husband believes it's cord? What do you think your advice would be greatly appreciated, we found out today this baby is very likely to be premature also we are very scared this baby is so previous xx19653

This pic is very blurry. Is this a profile? Or is baby looking at us? I'm sorry. It's just had to distinguish through the blur

The first pic looked girly, the second is too blurry to tell.
Can I ask how they can be predicting prematurity so early, is it just because of your history? That must be so scary to have them tell you that.
As someone who has had many loseses as well, some where around 15 (all during early pregnancy, though), have you ever had your thyroid or B12 checked? They're both common causes for losses &, quite frankly, the main tests for them are pretty useless. Thyroid you really need to test Free T3, Free T4 & antibodies. B12 there are other tests, but it's hard to get them done. I was recently reading that at least one expert on B12 deficiency recommends everyone with a number under 500 on the standard test be treated, even though that's classed as "normal". If you eat meat & are low in B12, it's probably an absorption issue, which means injecting it.
I only post this because both are easily, inexpensively treated & both can cause issues in pregnancy. And most people, including drs, are woefully uneducated about them, but B12 deficiency in particular.

Thank you for your response blue eyed guys , I've had a very low PappA result which is an indicator your placenta will fail and put you in a high risk for prematurity or still birth that tied with my past history ( every pregnancy my placenta has began to fail at 20 weeks) , the hospital also due to my medical condition have to deliver early regardless of baby's health so the furthest I'm possibly allowed to go is 34 weeks maximum! I'm very scared I'm so sorry to hear of your losses :( I've had every test under the sun including thyroid and b12 repeated a few times being on pg num 14 but nothing has ever been picked up I was they knew why xx

So based on the first picture baby looks like girl, the little pointy up thing in between the nub looks like cord? any my 14 week pictures cant tell as there is no nub pictured is this correct? Is there any sonograpghers on this site who may be able to take a look at my 12 week picture for me im wondering how likely its a girl like 60/40 or 70/30 etc? It will be interesting as im having a scan next week and they can tell me gender it would be good to see who's right etc if anyone wants to join? many thanks lovely ladies xx
