Hi ladies, I haven't posted anything in a while because I've tried laying off some of my obsessive qualities. After 9 months ttc and 3 on clomid I think I'm in my first official 2ww. We were bd every 4 days. Last cycle I got a pos opk on day 13, this cycle my clomid was doubled and I didn't get a positive until day 18 so not sure what it means but we Dtd as soon as I saw that smiley. The weird thing is the opk went negative that night and was negative the night before. Is it normal to stay positive so short? I just feel like it wasn't enough to get pregnant. I think I'm just stressing. We are going on a cruise next week and I guess I can either expect af or a possible bfp! But don't feel optimistic. I really don't want to have to think about diet on the cruise. Would a week totally off diet ruin everything I've done for 9 months?
Sorry this is so long, I guess I'm just venting. Thank you to anyone who even read this far!!

I don't know much about opks either, but a positive is a positive. I think the LH can find its way out of the body quickly. So I would say you are in the tww too! Hope you get a bfp this cycle!

Hi PinkDaisy....you're defiantly in the 2ww!!! 👍😀
And no, a week off the diet doesn't have much impact on your last 9mths. Enjoy your cruise and hopefully you'll get your BFP when you get back. 😊

Sorry only just now caught up to this!
Yes, it's normal to have a short surge or a long one on Clomid. i would def. keep BDing every 4 days just to cover bases in the off chance you didn't ovulate.
A week off diet is not a dealbreaker, if you can attempt to kinda keep it LE (such as eating fish, having fruit at a breakfast buffet) even if it's just part time, I mean don't pass anything by you really want, but if two options are equal, pick the more LE one. Have a GREAT time! (I am so jealous!)

Thanks ladies. I hope I get a bfp too...I'll touch base when I return. I planned this trip so long ago thinking I would be way pregnant:(. I just don't want to regret not enjoying myself because I always have a diet on mind. I look back to all the celebrations I watched what I ate. If I don't get a bfp, I'll be about cd 4 or 5 when I get back so hopefully if im pretty strict with diet, my week off wont be such a deal breaker. Hopefully!

Just an update and need advice:worry:
I ended up getting af on day 25 and bloodwork shows no signs of ovulation. So I have no idea what the positive opk at day18 was. I am now on day7 of my 4th month on clomid. I just got back from the cruise and had zero control of my diet. I think I ate 9 months worth of what I cut out. I'm so disappointed in myself. I can't afford to skip the month. I'm just trying to be strict here on out and hope I actually ovulate. Any thoughts on what could have happened or what last minute things I can do to make up for my salt saturated foods for a week? Thank you so much:wink:

You CANNOT ever skip a month on Clomid, I don't care if you ate an entire cruise ship worth of food, you have to TTC if you took Clomid.
If anything the eating may help you make a good eggo this month. Please do not cut back, just eat normal LE Diet range. There's nothing to make up for. What happened last month is now ancient history.
