I'm a mom of 3 beautiful girls and I have talked to a few moms already that are TTC BLUE in October and I was hoping this thread can be for us and any others that are TTC BLUE in the near future that already have a few daughters. I just purchased a plan from atomic and I'm looking forward to getting it. This will be a good way to support each other and remain in contact!

Hi ruby. So far all I have done is read through Atomic's essays and learned as much about swaying as possible! I just purchased a plan and I will be following that as soon as I get it. I just got an example of the HE diet and I think that will be by far the most challenging part of my sway. It's completely opposite of how I normally eat. I'm also trying to visualize myself with a healthy baby boy. I feel that that is important.

Auzair, I'm thinking of starting my diet in August too but I will see when atomic says to. I have this feeling I'm going to gain some weight! LOL!

That sounds like a good plan. I'm not used to eating high calories on a daily basis so that's why I'm thinking of doing the diet six weeks ahead. I should go and get the folic acid. I might do that in the morning. Also, I read that October is a great month to conceive a boy. I didn't know that until today. Although, I was conceived in October and so was my mom and her 2 sisters LOL!

Yes thats a good idea to have folic scid from now n yes i have also read oct is boy month as far as we are taking high calorie diet.after researching a bit in my eyes diet is basic factor.lolxxx just want to tell my husband n his 4 male cousins were concieved in oct ;) all we can do is to try our best to raise odds of our desired gender n all that happens is God's willing :)
How about you ?? Is this ur first sway?? Or u tried shettles method or something before ??

This is my first sway. I didn't plan my other children. My DD1 was conceived when I was 19 and my other girls were conceived when I didn't go pick up my birth Control. This will be my only planned baby. I never thought I would have 4 children. I only wanted one. I was always more of a career oriented person. They have changed my mind! I was never surprised that they were girls. I instinctively knew. I didn't have gender disappointment with any of them. I know my husband was a little disappointed with the DD3 but he got over it very quickly. We just adore our girls. All 3 girls look just like their daddy and he is very proud of that. We actually make great girl parents. My younger brother found out that his first baby was a boy when my DD3 was 8 months old. I was very envious. I couldn't believe I felt that way. I secretly cried! It showed me that I did long for a son. My husband recently got a promotion at his job and we moved into a big 4 bedroom house. I decided to give it one more try. I started researching and I found this sight. If I have another girl after this sway, than I know that I was only meant to be a girl mom. Which is fine because our girls are AMAZING! I would be thrilled to have a son of my own and have the opportunity to raise both genders. What about you? How many children do you have? Is this your first sway?

Jana u gave me confidence by telling ur story i m in my mid 20's n have a little 2yr old girl i just simply love her i want to have one or two sons to complete my family earlier when my daughter was born after that i started researching about boy conception then i came to know about shettles method on many sites like babycentre my last mc was not a planned baby.this year my daughter became 2 then i started researching keenly n came to know it is no longer reliable, after that i found researches about diet n gender n started following it i have read diff sites but atomic essays made a great sense to me n i decided to follow her :)
I also read alot on babycentre about conception supplement Pregnacare conception (its a UK brand)mostly leads to boy pregnancy n i ll also take it the month i ll ttc :)
Me n my husband heartly want to have sons but uf we get daughter we ll also welcome her.but i do pray alot to have boy may b twin boys ;)

Hey ladies,
I started my supplements about 16 days ago and I feel great. I'm taking folic acid, multivitamin, fish oil, vitamin D, wheat grass tablets and green tea. I never drank green tea before and I'm totally addicted to it. My husband and I plan on ttc a boy this October and we have a spoiled soon to be four year old princess. I want to start my diet hardcore 8 weeks prior to our attempt but I've been exercising a lot more and eating better now. I am nervous to sway, I feel confident most of the time but I have a fear of disappointment. How are you ladies feeling?

Hi ladies - I jut signed up for a plan and am going to TTC October I think. I'm really not looking forward to the HE diet - I'm very controlled about my weight and it sounds really fattening. I know this is just not important at all - but it is going to affect my mood a lot to gain weight. Obviously the sway matters more, but I don't look forward to piling on pounds I just lost after having my daughter. I'm hoping there might be some way round it... Probably not. High cal does sound pretty essential. Ugh.
Are you all taking pregnacare (prenatal) vitamins now? I think one of you said they sway blue. I have some, but I won't take anything without Atomic's advice.

Very best of luck to you all.

Your supplements sound great. I feel the same way as Auzair! I wish there was a "magic bullet" but there isn't. I hope all of us are successful sways. My grandmother and great grandmother both had 3 girls and a boy last so I know it can happen. But I don't want to get my hopes up too much.

I know a high calorie high nutrient diet may sway blue and that might affect my weight however with smart calories like fruits and vegetables and exercise maybe the weight gain doesn't have to be so bad. Just think in some of these fruit juices there are like 110 calories in a 8 oz cup. I'm losing some weight now before our attempt and my hardcore diet begins. I have a friend that is diabetic and just had a son. She eats every 1-2 hours, very nutrient dense, protein and complex carb diet, fruits and veggies, nuts, yogurt, lots of water, exercises and weighed 110 pounds, classic he diet. Her post pregnancy weight is 118! I think it's crucial to have the nutrients and know how to acquire them.

That is very true beckmom89! I usually eat a high calorie meal with small portions! Except for dinner when I eat pig portions. I think I might lose about 10 pounds if possible before I start my HE diet. That way it'll be easier.

Have you all bought personalized swaying plans? I've managed to access the 21 day sample blue diet and the 5 day diet, but I think there are other sources of information I'm not finding. Could any of you help me? I'd be so grateful.

It's good to hear this 'nutrient rich' / 'smart calorie' food talk - makes it sound less like you have to stuff yourself. I feel really confused about the role of exercise, too. I do high intensity interval running with some resistance circuits x3 per week and I feel fit and bouncy and more muscular than usual. I deliberately started the resistance circuits to increase testosterone and I've stopped doing long runs in exchange for intervals for just 25 mins. But now I have a feeling exercise can sway pink, even if it's intervals and weights... Can't wait to get my plan and resolve some of these questions. Any insights from you other blue swayers would be appreciated.

Would losing 10lbs make you underweight before you start the HE diet? Is that ok? I'm interested in your thinking here. One way I could handle all the HE weight gain is by getting underweight first, but I suspect that would increase acidity a lot and you wouldn't necessarily even it out to an optimal point with the HE. Or am I wrong? Hope so!

There is a HE shopping list for supplements also. It's in the same section as the 5 day sample plan. Also, there is a guide to understanding how to use the opks if you bought the bundle. Have you went through some of the essays that atomic wrote? They are in the free sections. 10lbs would not make me underweight. I would still be within average weight. I am about 5'4 and 137 lbs. I have a big boned frame so at this weight right now, I look smaller than someone else at my height and weight. I have read that Atomic says it's ok to lose weight before a blue sway but I'm not sure that she would want anyone to go underweight. You could ask atomic what she thinks but I have seen some successful sways where they have lost weight before starting the HE diet.

Hello All, I am new to this.. Just to introduce myself. I have a beautiful 3 year old daughter and now me and my husband decided to go for another one. It would be nice to have one boy...So i am here to understand whether swaying will work....I finally lost my pregnancy weight and am back to my ideal weight. I am 5.4ft with 130 lbs..I have been reading so much that now i am confused as to which one to follow. Just in a nutshel I think- High Potassium, Sodium diet sways boy. I went to my OBGYN and after blood work she mentioned that my Viamin D levels are really low. She prescribed Vitamin D3 (1000). Does it sway blue?? I am not sure...Also which diet all are following. Can some one please share the boy diet...

Hi and welcome!!! Boy sways work about 75% of the time if you follow the advice from this site. Not sure about the other sites. Vitamin D does sway boy. There is also other supplements you can take for a boy sway. Are you a dream member? If so, you can have access to the HE (high everything) diet. That's the diet we use on this site. Good luck!!

Yes newbee Evening primrose oil gets good results for boy. Have you looked through the old sways? I would look through this site for as much info as possible. It is time consuming but you will learn a lot!! Potassium is best through diet. Eating foods with potassium. Taking too much potassium supplements is bad for health!

Hi newbee - are you going to follow the Ingender diet/supps advice? Your link leads to very different advice from the thinking on this site. I believe - correct me anyone if I'm wrong - that atomic suggests it's not necessary to eat very little calcium, nor is it necessary to drink cream of tartar and she doesn't advise raising sodium. that link takes you to some advice which does sound a bit unhealthy to me. But I'm certainly no expert! Just learning.

GenderDreaming Boy Sway Products - Mom Suggested Products (http://astore.amazon.com/genderdreamingboydiet-20) I think these supps should help you with your cycle but you have to ask atomic just to be sure. I have a beautiful daughter already and I have 2 step daughters and I guess it is safe to say my husbands reproduces girls. We would like to try and conceive a boy and starting in october. Is there supplements or vitamins my husband or myself should be taking to increase sperm count and ph levels? I read douching is harmful? Inserting baking soda to increase PH how often do you need to do this and is it right before ovulation?

This is just a start if you have the time to help I would love it

Yes!! Boy sways on here get pretty good results but even the perfect sways get opposites. I already have 3 girls and this will be my last child. I do get a bit nervous. I have to say though, I didn't seem to have any gender preference until now. I love love love having 3 girls. I couldn't imagine life without them. They are so close and so precious to us. Having 3 girls is awesome!!!!! I wouldn't have it any other way. If I have 4 girls than that was just my plan in life. And if you have 3 girls you will grow to love it. I promise

October is the only month left for this year

Hi Jana - I'm still waiting for my cycle to return after breastfeeding so if it doesn't come this month I might have to wait beyond October. Dec seems to be pink. When I looked up Jan and Feb the result said the two charts disagreed and it could go either way. Wondered if you make anything of that and which chart you're using. I have a feeling I'm going to need to forget all about charts...Annoying, because this is stressful enough without niggles like that in the back of your mind.
Hope you're all doing well. I'm transitioning into the HE diet and feeling great so far. Much better than expected.

I'm not a girl mom on the HE diet, but I think my DH and I naturally eat a "HE" style diet (and definitely were when we conceived DS). If you don't like manipulating or touching meat very much, maybe try your crock pot? I make chicken or beef or pork in there once a week and eat it tons of different ways (over rice, in quesadillas, in chili, in soups, etc) and it's so so easy! Also, one of our favorite easy meals (that I think is HE?) is spaghetti and meat sauce. We are also big casserole eaters - veggies, rice or pasta and meat all in one. I'm so jealous of your steak!!!! I haven't eaten it since April and we normally eat steak 2x a week.

I'm used to making a 3 course dinner every night. I always cook meat with dinner. I usually season the meat and put in the oven and bake it. It's so much easier for me that way. Raw meat grosses me out big time but I barely have to handle it that way. We have always eaten a boy friendly dinner but it's usually only my second meal of the day so that sways pink lol. Like blue bonnet says, crock pots are great!! I make spaghetti with ground beef and red sauce often, and it only takes about 20 mins to make.

Thanks ladies for the suggestions! I have been using my crock pot a lot... it makes the cooking meat thing a lot easier. And ya, I def try to eat a colorful diet and get as many fruits and veggies in. After reading a few of atomic's essays i started now eating high fat organic cheeses and yogurt daily. I eat handfuls of seeds/nuts throughout the day to keep my protein intake up. I wasnt a huge snacker so this is hard for me. And I miss coffee..I cut down to one cup but I'm used to having 3 a day...but I figured I should do this regardless of gender because that much coffee during pregnancy cannot be good.

Hey ladies.

Newbee, ph isn't really considered in swaying any longer. Having watery cm is perfect. Watery cm and eggwhite cm are just as good as each other.

Make sure you take the Robitussuin at the correct dosage as that makes a difference. Ions don't matter and I'm not so sure moon phases do either.

Are you charting? If not, I find Fertility friend to be very valuable for charting. I also use OPK'S.

When you are unsure of ovulation date it's good to begin taking OPK'S I think about CD 10 of your cycle. Afternoon is best as most LH surges happen in the afternoon. I tend to start using my OPK'S about a week before I suspect ovulation. When possible I try to test around 10am then 2-3pm. Best to hold off from going to the toilet for a couple of hours as well.

I have fallen off the wagon lately. I even almost forgot to start using OPK's this month. Not sure what's going on with my OPK's this month though. I usually get a fade in pattern which started CD 16 (currently CD 18). The OPK's get darker till ovulations occurs. Unless I have simply had too much fluid this morning, fade in pattern has disappeared. I will do another OPK around 3 pm see if anything else has changed.

Dh and I are off to the Dr tonight. Fingers crossed the Dr is happy to go with both options. I would love to actually be in with a chance next month.

Well, dh can't have the TRT till he turns 40. So, for now it's special blue pills aka, Viagra. Hopefully they do the trick. In the meantime, I'll see what I can find to reduce Dh's estrogen and increase his testosterone.

About 10 kgs, I don't know what that is in pounds though. It's actually recommended that we do exercise as well. It helps turn fat into muscle and boosts testosterone.

Jana, I am usually good to begin testing from CD 15 (otherwise I go through too many OPK's). I have been known to ovulate around CD 21 as well. Given what my OPK's look like at the moment. I still think I ovulated extra early. It's very frustrating though. This is the first month since January that I haven't obsessed over the OPK's. Argh! That will teach me :( I have also come down sick with a bad cold. Combine that with a heap of night shifts with few breaks in between and it's also a charting nightmare :(

Rubygem, if you plan to try this month, try to increase calories a lot. I read somewhere that the day you conceive you should have a LOT of calories consumed..helps sway boy. I plan to eat like it's thanksgiving the week we TTC lol with healthy foods obviously!

Thanks for the advice. The HE diet is a lot more food than im used to so im having trouble keeping up with it. If I do try this month ill just have to be sure to eat a lot like you said week of ovulation and use preseed. Ill try to hold off till september though lol. Best of luck to you midwest!

Grrrrr stupid charting!!! FF has put ovulation at CD 15 due to my temps. I guess we will see around the 17th. That's when Af will be due if O occurred on the 15th. I guess I will have to start taking my OPK's from CD12 now. Argh, that will use up the OPK's quickly :(

I am on a multitude of vitamins :( Fish oil, Co Q10, Elevit, Folic acid, Calcium with vitamin D, Brewers Yeast and Probiotics and chia seeds (omega 3) every time I have cereal/porridge. Around O time I take Robitussin and Wheatgrass tablets and use Preseed.

I drink Coconut water, V8 vegetable juice, V8 fusion juice, Grape juice and pineapple juice. I also drink lemon green tea (hot) and a squirt of lemon juice in water. I am trying to have a few eggs every couple of days. It's best not to ever feel hungry. I try to have protein and carbs at every meal. I really need to knuckle down now though. If I did ovulate early, I have less time to prepare my body for our attempt.

Now that I have to get stuck into the diet, this is what I will try to stick to.

Porridge or cereal for breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, Dinner and a bowl of cereal before bed.
I will try to have more eggs, almonds and fruit and vege. 1-2 cans of coconut water around the week of ovulation.

That's all I can think of right now.

It is hard eating this much! I agree. I am so ready to just get pregnant & go back to eating my normal foods & amounts. I try to eat eggs every few days too, but I do plan to bump it up & eat them daily.. I just never feel hungry. DH is all about the diet though & encourages me to eat so that helps.

Jeez, I will feel so devastated having another girl after doing this diet!

Jana, Yes, I bought a plan :)
I'm the heaviest I've ever been :( I should also be exercising but it's so difficult when I do nightshift all the time. I added the brewers yeast a few months ago and it did mess things up for me for one cycle. With the exception of this cycle it's been good.

A little tip with the V8 juice. I struggle with it as well. I found it easier to drink if I put ice ****s in it.

Hey ladies I haven't bought a plan but I've been eating anything I want as long as it is healthy. I have an app on my phone that says I'm getting around 3500 MG of potassium a day and around 90 to 120 grams of protein. I'm eating a variety of fruits and veggies, drinking full fat milk and eating about every 2 hours. I didn't want to stress it too much. Do you think that's enough? Today I am stressed about it maybe because nursing school is around the corner!

Ruby- If it was me I would wait to have at least one month of diet since to TTC a boy you don't need that long as if for TTC a girl.
The reason is that if I ended up having a third girl (and since it's my last go) I would of course love her, but I would blame myself for not going 100% with the TTC plan.
That being said, a lot of ladies have conceived boys without the extra effort...

I'm also having x1 cup of coffee and x2-4 of green tea. I think you're encouraged to drink green tea and coffee x1 is allowed. Have I misunderstood?

How are you all feeling? I'm really getting into the HE diet. The first thing I've noticed is NO MORE LOW BLOOD SUGAR. I love it! I had no idea how much of a diff it could make to have protein with every snack.

I feel stuffed - but full of energy. I'm not eating any carbs other than oatmeal in the morning and juices/fruit with my meals and I've found that makes you feel less heavy. anyone else got any tips?

Hello Ladies,
Can I join you all. I am starting the whole ttc process again after taking a two month break. I was also wondering if any of you gals new what sweetners are safe to use during our ttc attempts. I was told about sweetners that can be safely used with a boy sway. I was told stevia is one. I know there is another natural sweetner called Organic blue agave nectar made by C&H which contains Organic Agave Nectar and is a natural sweetner and I was wondering if this is also safe to use. Fx to you all and our blue sways! 😊💜

tm29
August 11th, 2014, 11:30 AM
Hi yogi&booboo - I asked atomic about this and she told me that stevia is thought to be ok, but there isn't enough research yet, so she advises not using it. I've been a big user of sweetener all my life and it's tough not having it, but I'm finding that eating higher fat ingredients gives food so much more flavour that it can be enough to sweeten things with 1/2 cup of blueberries. I use a tiny bit of maple syrup too, which is more nutritious and lower GI (better for blood sugar) than sugar. When I use full fat milk I find the lactose in milk is pretty sweet too.

Are you on the diet yet?

Royal jelly bee pollen is good for fertility, not sure if it'll change your cycle back to normal. Atomic doesn't recommend it because of potential allergies. It does have good results for boy sways though!

ELP
August 14th, 2014, 01:49 PM
I used both RJ and bee pollen in my 2 blue sways and I agree that it is because of the allergy risk that AS doesn't recommend them, you can develop allergies at any age, I recently discovered I was allergic to sunflower seeds, and a few years ago kiwi fruit! both things had never affected me before the age of 35, so who knows what out bodies could change their minds about :) So RJ and BP are definitely a personal choice for everybody.

I was just wondering of you ladies are doing any strength training? I haven't seen it mentioned but I know it was a vital factor in alot of the earlier blue swaying ladies, has opinion changed on it? I will do a bit of digging around and see if anythings changed:) but it should still be a good idea to store all the extra nutrition your bodies are getting as muscle rather than fat, boosts the testosterone levels! Again sorry if this is mentioned a few pages back, just don't want anyone missing any extra blue threads in their bows lol

Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to drop by for some opinions.I would like to in advance apologize dropping in more often.

I am a little worried because during my two month break I took birth control. I stopped them on sunday August 3rd. AF started Tuesday following my last bcp which was only 3 days after. I started my Fertility Blend Supplements and Fish oil on Friday August 1st which to date is only about two weeks. I also reset my Clear Blue Fertility Monitor because I never took the batteries out and so I had no choice but to reset and erase the memory. According to the CBFM today is CD 9 and I on day 6 it asked for the 1st test which gave me a high reading and I am sure its standard on a first time use, however this morning I got a Peak and I was totally not expecting it. I feel so emotial right now and feel like crying because we have been bd'ing unprotected since CD5. We bd CD 5, 7,8. I honestly did not expect to ovulate because I did not ovulate when i first had the intention to sway last year. I think I ovulated on my 3rd month. I don't know what to do ladies. I have only taken since I started this round the Fertility Blend Supps, Fish Oil and have been drinking two cups of green tea, lots of water, oatmeal with bluberries and nuts every morning. I haven't done any exercise or weights and that just makes me feel like a complete looser and I feel like if I do get pregnant I just lost my only small chances of having a boy. If today CD9 I got a peak and I just came off BCP is there anything I can do at this time to help me a bit???? Or (I know this is cruel) should I take a morning after pill??? :(( I am so sad and dissapointed and confused and don't know what I should do. Sorry for my rant and allowing me to vent. I will take any advice and your opinions are greatly appreciated. I honestly was going for my first sway in august and i was in the process of loosing some weight and buying all of the goodies for my upcoming sway.

Thank-you again ladies and fx to you all!

ELP
August 14th, 2014, 03:10 PM
I agree with Jana, can you double check with an opk? CD9 seems pretty early, not impossible, but early, how long are your cycles usually? If I remember correctly then you usually get your period roughly 10 days after ovulation, so that would make your cycle roughly 19 days long, have you ever had a 19 day cycle before??
And how does the morning after pill work? sorry for my ignorance:oops:

Thank-you Janamomof3girls,
It never crossed my mind. I think ill go buy some today.

ELP,
When I first was off BCP last month I was ovulating on cd 17-18 and my cycles were 33 days long. 😢 yes this is really early. I have ewcm and to make things worse my husband (sorry tmi) has been using lotion as lube 😢 I managed to put some pre seed last night but he had first put lotion. We bd'd a little then our kids were knocking on the door so we had to put it on pause lol and so i took the opportunity to put some pre seed in but im sure the little lotion he put will over power the pre see. I am almost 100% positive I am ovulating because I am super tender from my uterus and I always have this feeling when I am about to ovulate 😔 Omy and im devastated. I am also using diet pills so I can't stop drinking water because it gives severe dry mouth and I know I am sure my pee is going to be very diluted. I wish this was all a dream.

Thank-you for your replies ladies!

yogi, I think I am also right in thinking that the body 'tries' to ovulate every seven days (atomic knows more about this:)) so this could just be a keen try from your body, and in fact the real ov will be in a weeks time, so closer to the 16 day mark. I know I would get an almost full line early in my cycle with the cheapie opk's and I would tilt it and turn it and think what if, but the rules are if its not darker its not positive so I would just be getting myself at it lol :)

Also I am not sure, if anyone follows Biorhythms and moon position...it says that Oct 8 is a full moon and its a favorable when you sway for a boy. I know this is not full proof...but all us October swayers want to do all we can do...to sway blue...

Yogi- depending on what happens, you should use condoms from now on too
Thank-you Janamomof3girls

I couldn't help but to drink water so I took a test anyway just to see if i sort of came out positive and this is what the result was with a cheapy 99cent opk.

I'm wondering if the hormones from the bc pills may have messed up your cycle this month. Why don't you go and get an opk just to be sure and then go from there

That is positive! The one good thing that you have on your side is that you have several attempts in the fertile window.

yogi&booboo, I'm with Jana. Definitely a good thing you had plenty of attempts in the lead up to your +OPK. Cycles can throw you off. I have spotting and AF will be arriving tomorrow no doubt. This means I did indeed ovulate on CD 15 when I usually ovulate around CD 19-21. Hopefully this will be your gorgeous blue bundle.

I am back, lol. Such a long stay away, rofl. I am in a much better mindset now. Dh tried half a viagra tablet and it worked. There is now a light at the end of the tunnel and I have new found hope. I think everything in life, including TTC and Af coming really messed around with my hormones. I'm still going to see the psychologist though.

Back to the weight lifting question... I workout 3-4 days a week. I do cardio and weights... i might cut down the cardio now that it's getting closer to my TTC month. My period starts Monday! So excited to finally start this BDing lol

Question, should I start preseed right after my period? Or wait until O week? I've never used any type of lube before... do I put it in right before BD or an hr before?

Do you ladies think its ok for me to add a little bit of brown sugar to my oats? They are so bland but I dont think were supposed to take in much sugar? Its about the only sugar I get in a day.

Somebody else said to sprinkle just a little cinnamon but I heard although it is alkaline it lowers blood sugar levels and testosterone and causes miscarriage in large amounts so I'm staying away from cinnamon right now.

You can use a fingertip daily, the week of O and on your attempt or you can just use it on your attempt.

Thank you Janamomof3girls,
Im nervous and keep role playing in my head what I would tell the dh. Or should I even tell the dh? Would it be horrible of me to keep a secret like this? I don't want to say anything until af or bfp but even if a bfp i am worried he will be upset and I can just hear him telling me its abother girl. I think I would want to keep this fron the dh until i foubd out the gender in a situation like this so he wouldn't be putting me down and reminding me of the mistake I did. I am a hot mess right now 😢

That is a hard choice. I would just wait until a BFP to tell him for sure.
