I answered part of this question you asked on my thread, but I wanted to try and maybe clarify a little more. This is only my opinion, like I said, I'm no expert. My personal experience in the past has been that it is to late for me to get pregnant if I wait past a positive opk to have sex. I believe I ovulate only a few hours after my opk turns positive, which really wouldn't give most of ,if not all, the sperm time to capacitate. I think the reason ewcm is most fertile is because it is like a temporary housing for the sperm to be protected from our body naturally attack against it and it is natures way of "weeding out" the weak swimmers, but nourishing the strong. I believe watery mucus is also very fertile, and probably allows less than perfect sperm a chance in the cervix initially, but then they still have to figure out how to defend against our body naturally attacking. It, to me, (again only basing this off my body and experience) makes sense that the mucus would return to a watery state closer to ovulation because it no longer needs to provide long term housing for sperm, and also enables our body more chance to"rid itself" of the less than desirable sperm getting near that precious egg.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. Like I said, I got pregnant with only watery this time on the very first try.
Good luck

Oh, and maybe this was a very obvious thing I didn't think about to mention.......
Maybe your diet is greatly improving from what is normally was and your also becoming better hydrated. I know hydration is super important for me, and I can always tell by my mucus, when I didn't drink enough water..

I used a portion of all different diets because of my sensitivities to food. The basic nutshell would be the high everything diet, minus dairy products because I'm very allergic.......and I ate mostly paleo type diet, but i added potatoes and wheat spaghetti noodles. I also consumed three glasses of v8 and took three table spoons per day of extra virgin olive oil, and a lot of almonds, which is probably where I get most of my calcium. I took vitamin d, multi vitamin, and Folic acid.....I used fitnesspal for a week, (about a month ago) to gauge how many calories to eat in a day. I was usually over on potassium and about 2300-2600 calories daily... Not hard at all with nuts and oil.... Lol

Watery CM is the same as fertile even when it has no stretch. Watery CM is perfectly fine for TTC a boy.
