So tomorrow is the big day- assuming baby cooperates that we should know boy or girl. And im so nervous lol... I should feel excited but im actually kind of freaking out even though its elective and i chose to go now rather than waiting for the dr at 20 weeks haha (im 17+ now).
My whole family is rooting for a girl and i just feel like they will say boy at the scan and ill be letting everyone down somehow :(
Am i just being weird? Lol

It sounds perfectly natural to be feeling the way you are. Been there, got the t-shirt (several times lol!). Good luck, hope you hear pink x

Of course that's normal :) We've all been there and that's why we're here ;) Hope you hear girl! And if you hear boy, he will be very much loved by the family anyway, he will be special and unique. Your son or daughter, a whole new person!

This was exactly how I felt before my 20 weeks scan. I was so nervous, I even booked my scan for a Friday afternoon so that if I did hear boy, I would have the weekend to cry and get my head around it. I even asked the sonographer to not tell me the sex until the very end.
Everyone knew about my girl sway and I felt like I would be disappointing or letting people down...
We'll I did hear boy and it was a massive shock, the hardest part was sending out that text message to everyone, but they were all so supportive and positive in their replies and it made it much easier than I thought.
I hope you hear girl, but rest assured your nerves are completely normal!
Best of luck :)

I feel the same way, which is part of the reason I may wait until the end. My DH's side 1 granddaughter followed by 7 Grandsons. My mom has 3 grandsons (and all she wants is a granddaughter -- has expressed disappointment with hearing boy every single time). I understand the pressure!!!! And only my sister knows about the sway.
Good luck, I really hope you hear pink. But pink or blue, everyone will fall in love. Babies are magical :)

Well add me to the failed sway section- its a boy. Def. feeling disappointment right now and mad that i didnt do certain things like exercise but it is what it is.
On the plus side my family seems very excited so my worry about disappointing them doesnt seem to be realized so thats good and i think DS1 will love have a close in age playmate :)
Just wasnt meant to have a girl i guess

Sorry you didn't hear girl but boys are fun! Your feelings will pass with time! Congrats! PS I know quite a few people who have girls and didn't exercise so I wouldn't beat myself up over that factor.

I hate that it is called a failed sway. You succeeded in conceiving a baby boy and that is something really wonderful!! Of course disappointment and sadness are totally OK but I just want you to know that having two boys is something really special! Watching that bond develop is so special to watch and I think you are giving your DS1 a lifetime gift. Congrats!
