Dh and I bd'ed Thursday the 10th just after midnight so technically the 11th. Yesterday (the 12th) I got a +opk , just took another 10 minutes ago. It's still positive. Since you ovulate 24-48hrs after +opk should I bd again tonight. Btw the bd on the 10th was after a 2week abstain (not intentional just happened that way, midterms and conferences got in the way).
TIA

I did jump and dump though. I had also just put in refresh because I wasn't sure what was going to happen the next few nights since we were both exhausted

I would say again just b/c of rephresh & j&d & very long abstain...How many months have you been TTC?

This is our first month off bcp. So first month. We got a bit carried away earlier, I did jump and dump and add refresh after. Not sure how this will pan out lbs

dont attempt if you are not confident that it will favour pink. unless u really doesnt matter baby gender boy or girl.
I would rather bfn than GD

Of course gender matters, I'm swaying but not extremely hard, even perfect sways end up in opposite (if you believe in perfect sways) truth be told I am just hoping to up my odds enough to get a girl. The way I look at is I won't die if it's a boy, but I am willing to go a few months of bfn to get my girl. I greatly appreciate your opinion.

If it were me in this situation...I would attempt again. That is a pretty long abstain and doing J&D and Rephresh on top of it....eh, I'm not confident you would get pregnant at all. Today being the 14th, I don't think the attempt was too far away, if it had been a tad more "friendly" conditions.

I had a girl from similar circumstances (I was also swaying in other ways). We BDed the day I got a "positive" OPK and then it went negative the next day and a half...then I noticed some increase in EWCM and did another OPK, which was positive. So, since we also had a longer abstain (I think 7-8 day, not 100% sure) and I used Rephresh on the first attempt as well...we decided to try again the night of that OPK and I didn't so anything like Rephresh or J&D. We had our daughter nine months later :) So it's not going to be a boy-for-sure if you make that second attempt. If you don't mind trying another month and doing the other sway tactic for another month, go ahead and just wait it out. But if you prefer to be pregnant this month or don't think you can maintain the other tactics for another month, I'd try.

oh no sorry I just now saw this.

I would have had you flip a coin and do what the coin said, so whatever you did was ok.

What did you do? I missed this, but along the lines of atomic's advice...you gotta do whatever it is that will allow you to sleep at night...Martha!!! LOL.

under normal circumstances, if it's the first month I'd have had you stay with one attempt. but since just off BCP (which is a good sway tactic) then being in with a fairly good chance of conception is also good.

For the average person it comes down to "how big a hurry are you to get pg" and then after that if you still can't decide, coin flip is not amiss in helping bring clarity and resolution to the issue.

We got a bit carried away during the day, I tried to jump and dump but given the position we dtd in jump and dump was a failure. So I just inserted a little rephresh afterwards, and took a zyrtec. Not sure how much help any of that was but it made me feel better

Jump and dump can never be a failure. Just get up relatively soon after BD - voila, j and d.
