View Full Version : Is the LE diet right for me?

I'm a total Martha! I have two boys already, and my husband and I produce mainly boys on both sides. I got pregnant with both boys on the first (and only) tries, so I'm very fertile.
I'm 5'5 and weigh 112lbs, pretty consistently. Once in a while I'll go up to 114. I have 12% body fat. I've been very lean my whole life. I don't really exercise much, but I do enjoy being active with my boys.
I have been skipping breakfast for the past year for the most part. Not on purpose, just because I'm a late riser and I don't "have time" before getting the kids ready for school (haha).
I eat pretty healthy, I like to juice and I try and avoid processed foods. I have no problem changing my diet and altering the supplements I take for a sway though. I'm not a picky eater.
Anyway, my main question is, can my body really handle going on such a low calorie diet? I don't want to wither away or look sickly in the process.
I'm no expert, but won't lowering my body fat and weight even lower than it already is make me produce more testosterone?
Any advice/thoughts would be much appreciated! Thanks :)

Do you know your caloric intake now? The LE diet us 1500-1800 cals. You may be surprised how much food that actually is.

I used my fitness pal last fall and I was usually between 2200-2500 calories per day

I might actually be close to 1800 calories a day now that I've been skipping breakfast. So that's good news :)
Now what happens if I add an hour of exercise a day? Haha. At least from what I've read so far it's very light exercise. So hopefully that doesn't effect hunger too much. I think the lack of sleep to fit in exercise might be harder than being hungry now, come to think of it lol.
I think I will def have to buy a plan from atomic regardless ;)

It's a good idea to buy a plan. I didn't incorporate exercise in my sway and I'm pretty sure baby is a girl (based on comparing pregnancies), but it's getting high numbers. It's easy to mold the sway based on your lifestyle, but atomic is super helpful.

Congrats on #3! Were your first 2 pregnancies similar?
High numbers? What does that mean? Sorry I'm a total newbie!

That's ok! My two boy pregnancies were a little different, but I could eat meat and had 0 morning sickness. This baby I can't stand meat and my morning sickness is worse by the day!
All the moms record their sway tactics used and they're tallied up by percentages. I need to find the page, but moms were getting good results (girls) when using exercise. It's up to you though...I could commit to doing it that much for that long win my lifestyle, but I did he diet for about 3 months and did the one attempt at +opk.

With my boys I had no morning sickness. With Ds1 I craved meat. With ds2 not so much chicken, but red meat. Which I typically don't eat.
Nausea is a good thing! Yay! ;)
Ok, what's +opk now? I'm hoping to conceive October/November/December. So hopefully this gives me plenty of time. Especially with the help of atomic! And you all, thank you :)

OPK is an ovulation predictor. You pee on a stick & It detects the LH surge just before you ovulate.

You need to read atomics essays http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/3305-complete-index.html ( I say this so much im like an advertisement lol) They really are all you need to formulate the perfect sway for you. You'll notice she talks about factors and thats all the diet is, if you only change your diet slightly ie skipping breakfast and being vegetarian, you're still swaying  All the info is there and you'll be left with no doubt whether the diet is right for you or not. Good luck!

I think you are not understanding what LE Diet really even IS. It's not particularly low cal and you can go up as high at 1800-2000 if you need to. IT's just the lower safe level of intake for women of childbearing age. IT's not a starvation diet at all.
I wouldnot have you lose any more weight, just stay within LE Diet limits and hang out right where you are. YOu'll need to up cal intake till you are stable, not gaining, not losing.
No, lowering weight and body fat does not make you produce testosterone.

Also - reminder that low carb vegetables are FREE on LE meaning you do not count anything in them. They are not included in the cal count and you can have literally as much as you want without counting them

You can't tell your baby's gender by symptoms or HCG levels.

I will be doing exercise about 6 weeks before I ttc. I've already been on the LE diet (lightly) and have now lost 10 lbs. I am taking FA right now and my husband is taking cranberry and will start OLE. I purchased a plan and it has helped me not have to worry about every little thing.
