I'm starting to wonder if I have pcos. Ttc 4 months, have excess weight around the middle that I just cannot shift and it looks like im pregnant because the rest of my body is slim. I get abdominal pains that feels like a mild period pain. Im tired, have very irregular or missing periods, and have suffered from anxiety for a while.
What do you think? Should I go docs? How do they test for it?

Sounds like its definitely worth getting checked our. They will do some blood tests to check hormone levels and an ultrasound to confirm any cysts.

How is your diet? Are you eating carb heavy? If you have irregular periods, it could be PCOS. You would need to have a look at your ovaries to see what they look like to try and confirm.
Low carb is really the way to go with PCOS. Reducing sugar intake will help.

YOu need to get checked at a doctor's office for that. You can have a few random symptoms without having the syndrome full blown and you may still want to follow the alternate pcos diet found here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html

I say there's no harm in talking to a doc just to put your mind at ease!

Thanks guys, got an appointment Monday and going to ask them to test.
Thanks Atomic, took me ages to read through that but I understand much better now and still think I should get it checked out

Yes, it's long but I like to err on the side of more information rather than less. :)

Ive got to have bloods done to test for pcos and hyperthyroidism (which loads of my family have). Doc was really good and said she'd send me for a scan if bloods show nothing

Been for my bloods today so will see next week.
Me and dh have carried on bding every 4 days. Last night was "on" night and while we were bding I kept getting very sharp twinges in my right side. Like right in my side not where you normally get o pain nearer the front. Also had wet brown tinged CM (sorry tmi!) Now today CM is thick and pinky/brown coloured?
I'm confused, could it be implantation at cd57?? Doesn't seem possible to me!

Could be o pain. Location of o pain isn't reliable and I gave heard of people spotting after O. Or maybe AF is coming?

yes, it absolutely can be implantation at CD 57, people do get pg from those long cycles sometimes.
