I used saw palmetto for my sway from AF to O. This was may first cycle so before AF I drank peppermint tea.
After my attempt I stopped saw palmetto. Can I drink now peppermint tea in the 2WW?

No peppermint tea at all during pregnancy...ever! I used to love the stuff but don't drink it all anymore (even when not pg).

May I ask why peppermint tea is not recommended during pregnancy? Is it because of essential oils?

Today I talked to a gynecologist and she said that you have to drink tonns of it to MAYBE have an effect.
But maybe she is not well informed .....

It is closely related to an herb that was used for thousands of years to induce miscarriage and it affects hormones so not only might it cause miscarriage (by affecting YOUR hormones) it may also harm your baby (by affecting your baby's hormonal development).

Plus besides all that, we know about .001 of how any of this works and it may have other harmful stuff in it that we don't even know about.

a cup or 2 a week is no big deal, and that's about the level people drink it normally. I think better safe than sorry.
