Experiences of the 4 day release

Hi, I know this question has been asked many times before but I would really love to hear from people who have succeeded or not to sway pink doing 4 day release. If anyone reading this did chose to do this did ur dh only release every 4 days? I noticed in the spreadsheet tht only 7 people did this and 6 got desired gender. I don't know if this is enough people to go by so really hope someone can offer more insight.

Great question. I'm thinking of switching to this "schedule" for our next attempt so I'll be following this thread as well.

I'm currently doing this and release is only on each attempt. I couldn't stick waiting for pos opk and was worried I was missing it so at least this way I'm always in with a chance

I know i don't want to do FR or abstaining as neither of them seem to show great results.Thanks for replying and good luck to u both! I'm not starting to try until December so keep me posted if either of u are successful, love hearing a gd success story! Lol Anyone else have any experience of the 4 day attempt?

Yes me. I did every 4 days but was also doing opks. The attempt that landed me pregnant I actually only had three days between attempts but since I got the positive opk I was worried I'd miss my egg since it was three days since our last attempt. I did get my girl. She's due in December

Praying - do you mind sharing if your DH released between attempts ?

Congratz!! Prayingpink how close were u to o? Did u give urself a cut off? Or did it not matter which dates the 4 days landed on?

THat is because it's a newer tactic we just came up with and so do not have a ton of results yet. That doesn't mean anything other than that it's new. You probably aren't going to get a ton of hits here because not that many people have tried it.

It's how I got my daughter.

I did every 4 days. Or that was my plan. But I got pregnant the first attempt, with only 1 attempt with jump and dump. I had just got off the pills and was pregnant 2 weeks later! I won't find out if it worked for a girl sway until mid September. Curious to see if it worked for others. Good luck!

I have very high hopes for this method. I think it removes one of the biggest sources of swaycession (which I had hoped the one attempt at pos OPK would do, but people get too obsessed over the OPKs)

I believe I did it (not on purpose, ours was an oops!) but we had our "attempt" (pull out) on the Friday and then again on the Monday! My husband didn't release between. HTH!!:)

Mine was also the 4 days attempt. We dtd Thursday thinking i would ovulate Saturday. But I don't think I ovulated until sunday or monday so we dtd monday night again. .don't know what we r having yet or from which attempt we got pg

I think im going to end up doing this as well, we did abstain and BD on sunday night, no opk yet, but I also usec rephresh and benadryl and zyrtec and jump and dumpso I think I may need to dtd soon as I get a pos opk. Im very fertile never planned a pregnancy before . But we will see if I get a pos opk today than I will leave that attempt and see, but if not thurs we are BD again!

I just inquired with Atomic about this (so this is personal advice for me, and may not apply to everyone). You start as soon as AF ends (for me CD4), and then she suggested if high conception odds was important, BD again on CD7, CD10, CD13 (ie every "4th" day), if higher pink was important I would BD CD4, CD8, CD12, etc.

My preference and standard recommendation is to time it so the worst that can happen is attempt on O-3 and O day. So technically I think that qualifies as CD 4, 8, 12, 16, etc

Sorry I'm just getting back to answering you lady's. I oed the next day so we attempted at positive opk and I oed the following day. I only ended up with 3 days between attempts just because I was getting burned out on le diet and other things and I was scared I'd miss my egg and so I went ahead with the attempt. And I really don't know if he released between attempts. I just didn't want to bother him with it. He may have once but I honestly think the stats show that it's not too effective. I was trying to be as relaxed and non obsessive as I could possibly be. If you read my sway I did a lot of sway tactics.

The 4 day attempt does sound better when it comes to less stress and if I happen to be carrying Boy #3 I will be trying this next time!

It's really good to hear everyone's story and all the advice is great! Can't wait to start trying would be incredible to have a girl as this will be my last but what will be will Be!
