I finally got Dh to the drs regarding his problem.

I will write down exactly what is on the pathology request form.

LFT + UEC + UA + Ca + Ph, serum; LH, serum; FSH, serum; Testosterone, total, serum.

Of course I know what testosterone is and I have heard the others mention but, I don't know what they would mean all together.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA.

Thanks oncue. I'm very happy dh finally went to the Drs. It took a lot of strength. I am just thankful we have a good Dr. I truly hope we can get to the bottom of this quickly without needing to go HT.

I hope so for u guys too! Whatever the tests are, it sounds like they are looking at quite a few things which is great! Hopefully if there is a problem they can help advise what the next step is. It prob gives ur DH peace of mind too, knowing what his body is doing and also for general health. Let us know how it goes x

all these are is just various abbreviations for the following things:

Semen Analysis: Sperm Ph, Liquefaction, Results, and More (http://www.webmd.com/infertility-and-reproduction/guide/semen-analysis)

and the LH, FSH, and testosterone, are just hormones that serve various functions in the male reproductive tract. LH is the same thing you test for with your OPK and FSH is the same thing that causes your body to develop eggs. they do differnt things in his body.

Thank you for the reply :)

Hmm, dr didn't mention anything about actually testing the semen. We thought it was just blood tests. Can you test these through blood as well?

sorry wrong link Men's hormones, male andropause, andropause, virility, libido, athletic enhancement, athletic performance, energy, naturopathic care, naturopath ottawa | reviVelife (http://revivelifelab.com/men/hormones/faqs-male-hormone-test/)

some of the tests are to rule out things like rare cancer but the important ones are the hormones.

some of the tests are to rule out things like rare cancer but the important ones are the hormones. the first bunch is just general health stuff like liver, electrolytes, etc and they run those on most people who come in for testing
