I had a missed miscarriage :broken: in June and we're going to start TTC again this month. I've been following the LE diet probably 70% ish of the time since the loss and am taking baby aspirin, iron (for anemia) and folate. We want to get pregnant again ASAP so we'll be dtd probably every day or so from a few days before OV till after a positive OPK even though I know this tends to be more boy frequency. Anyone have any other "lite" swaying ideas that won't impact fertility too too much? We would slightly prefer a girl but would be happy with another boy as well. :)

Is the cardio an option for you? 60 minutes, 5-6 days a week is tough but it's been getting good results and I wouldn't think it would affect fertility too much. Also, OLE for DH might be something to explore.

I'd definitely do olive leaf extract for DH. Improves sperm health and sways girl!

Oh man, I MIGHT be able to do the cardio... ;)

Is there an article on supps for DH with dosage info etc? I could definitely get him to do OLE. I didn't even think of having him do anything!

DH is taking two 450mg olive leaf extract capsules a day. He's been taking them for over 5 months now. He uses the Seagate brand because my best friend's father is the owner of the company :).

I really really do not recommend DTD every day. I think that is a huge mistake and would prefer to see you DTD every 4 days, with or without one additional attempt at pos OPK.

You don't think every four days with an additional attempt at pos opk would be decreasing our chances of conceiving too much? I would rather conceive sooner and have another boy than have it take months and months to get pregnant.

Oh, and silly question but does every four days mean dtd on a Monday and Friday? Or Monday and Thursday?

Monday and then again friday. So 3 days break 4th day dtd

I asked AS about the Monday and Friday vs Monday and Thursday and she said for most people she'd be conservative and recommend Monday and Friday, but in your case I would definitely go the Monday and Thursday route.

What Atomic said. I really don't recommend frequent BD, you can totally conceive from just one attempt.

I know it's quite possible, the month we conceived my son we had only one attempt. :) I would just like to maximize our chances of pregnancy THIS month while at least "sort of" swaying girl. We wanted our kiddos between 18-24 months apart in age and due to the miscarriage we're running out of time for that spacing.

I am considering the every four days though, with an additional attempt at positive opk, if it could potentially make that much of a difference.

No, I do not think it cuts odds of conception at all and may even be BETTER than a bunch of attempts in a row. DTD every day can deplete your husband's sperm count and if you started too soon, he'd basically waste several attempts before your fertile window opens up.

Every 4 days means technically M/F but if you wanted to be in with better odds conception, you could do M/th (I think this is lower odds of pink, though)

Okay, you've convinced me. ;) We're going to shoot for every four (m&f) and an additional attempt at positive opk. Thank you!

If that doesn't work after a couple months, then we can switch to SMEP. :)
