We are doing the DTD every 4 days thing, we BD on CD5 and CD9, today is CD10. Going to BD again on Friday (CD13). I usually ovulate around CD13-15. I'm not tracking temps or doing OPK this month so no idea how to calculate the 2WW! Going to probably do my first pg test on August 11th (around 10-11 dpo).

Me too.... I'm some undetermined days past O.... maybe 5 (according to BBT), maybe only 2 (according to fertility monitor). I'm hoping I'm only 2 dpo so that I didn't miss my window, but if I'm actually 5 dpo, then I'm already out as we would have missed our window. Of course, when it comes to wanting to test, I want to be 5 dpo so I can start testing sooner.... hahahah.... it is so nice to have other women to share this wonderful, horrible, nail-biting, will-BFP-ever-get here experience!

Anyone have any experience with progesterone cream to lengthen their LP? I'm experimenting it with it this cycle. I've always had a short LP (10 days) but its been only 7 days for awhile now. :( Not nearly long enough to give it time to implant. I used to be on it for hormone balancing and still had some so I thought I'd give it a shot. we've been ttc for 4 months, at least. Its never taken us this long before. :(

My girlfriend was prescribed progesterone cream to start as soon as she got a bfp to reduce the chance of miscarriage (she had two prior ones, one at 11 weeks, one at 14 weeks) but they didn't have her use the progesterone before bfp, so I don't know about using it to lengthen your lutel phase.

Well, it looks like I'm out for this month. I started spotting today at 7 dpo. I haven't even had a chance to pee on a stick yet!! No idea why my cycle is so short this month (22 days). I guess if I'm not preggo, it's better to know sooner so we can get back to TTC as soon as possible (though we are out for this next cycle, trying to avoid having a due date in May). Good luck to everyone else on getting a BFP!!!

I suppose I won't know for sure until af begins fully, but last month I had a few days of spotting before af reared her ugly head and this seems to be the exact same thing. I hope it is implantation spotting, but trying not to build up my hopes only to be disappointed in a few days. Thanks for keeping the hopes alive for me though. I won't let myself think it, but if other people do, I can take a little comfort in that. :)

fivebabies - the week I would be due would be mother's day, my husband's birthday, nephew's birthday, and BIL's birthday. It's also the week before the last week of school here so there's always tons of end of year parties and chaos. I've always hated the week of my husband's birthday because there are always so many social events and trying to make his birthday special with mother's day and all that so close is tough. I've been on LE diet long enough (and lost pretty much all the weight I can lose without friends and family sending me to an eating disorder clinic) so I really need to just get PG soon so I'll deal with the May birthday week being less than optimal at this point!! You must be so excited about testing in 2 days.. I'm jealous. I'm waiting until a week from Friday if I can help it.

Totally stalking this thread for your BFP news!!

fivebabies - my LP had been between 5-9 days and my doctor wouldnt help me (I am in the UK) but I ploughed on regardless. I have no way of knowing what my LP would have been the month I got my BFP, it may have lengthened, who knows. And when I spoke to my doctor after my BFP and again raised my worry about low prog and LP, she said that we make different amounts of progesterone month to month and I must have made enough this month because I was PG.

When I first realised my LP was so short, atomic advised me to take zinc 3 times a week, make the effort to eat 4 eggs a week and full fat dairy every day. So I had done this for a couple of cycles before the conception one. I had started taking B6 3 times a week in the conception cycle as well. Not sure whether any of this is helpful to you but just in case your doctor wont help either.

I'm at 11 dpo and have had a strangly short cycle this month. My average is 33 days with 31 days being my shortest in years. Well I believe I o'd on cycle day 14 this month and have started spotting since cd 24 (10 dpo) which would be SOOO early to start a period for me so hoping it's a good sign. So far i've gotten bfn's yesterday and today.

oh, I should add that I have had some pregnancy type symptoms but they are very similar to my pre af symptoms so trying not to get too worked up. Very hot in bed, very dizzy when I get up and feel sooo groggy and sorta hung over for about 10 mins. Some hot feelings in lower abdomen, not much bb or nipple pains etc at all though.

bluebonnet~ That makes sense! May is a crazy busy month for us too. School gets out the 3rd week, many family bdays including DS1. Spring is not a great time of year for us to have a baby really.

Stephk~ Thanks for the info! So strange. I am not using a ton of progesterone crème but its good quality natural stuff. I used to use it to balance out my hormones...maybe it did it just enough this time! FX!

I am 10 dpo. AF is late by 3 days now but that could very well be the progesterone cream holding her off. When I used it before AF would show up before I stopped the cream though so that gives me a tiny bit of hope. I might pick up a couple of tests today but I would be way too tempted to start testing earlier than I planned. So maybe I won't. :worry:

Sorry to hear you are out fivesbabies. I know what you mean about how exhausting this whole process is. When I was planning my sway and NOT ttc, it all seemed so easy, but now that I'm in it, it's so much harder.

I feel like it's always like hurry up and wait for +opk, hope you make he attempt at the right time, then wait some more, try not to give into peeing on a stick every time you go to the bathroom, and then line up all those bfn after 10dpo until AF shows up....

I started spotting yesterday at 7dpo, and gave in and tested this morning, no surprise--bfn. AF hasn't fully reared her ugly head, so I'll test again on 10dpo if she hasn't fully shown up. Though the way I'm feeling, I doubt I'll make it to 10dpo before af gets here.

Well I did the q tip test and it's pretty red in there so I'm thinking I'm out. I can't believe AF is going to show at cd26. this has NEVER happened to me. Idont really have any symptoms. Either I'm missing O entirely or just the way stuff is making it really hard to get pg. Feeling bummed....

Ladies, when you spot before AF do you count the first day of AF as CD1 or the first day of full on AF?

My Ovuview app counts it as day one and so far it hasn't been wrong on predicting the next start date.

Fertility Friend doesn't consider it CD1 until the period is at least "light" flow, so spotting wouldn't count as CD1. Personally, I think that unless your spotting pretty quickly turns into a heavier flow, it's not really your period. Perhaps if you have a really light period anyway, you might have a different standard. I tend to have pretty heavy periods, so "spotting" is DEFINITELY NOT a period day for me. I think you would really have to make a comparison between what "spotting" is for you compared to your regular period. For me, there is no mistaking the difference between spotting and the first day of AF. But if you were distinguishing between spotting and light flow, I could see how that might be confusing to decide which day really counts as AF.

thanks, yes my spotting is only really just pink when I wipe only, but sometimes a little makes it to my underwear. First day of AF and it's bright red and need a tampon so I wont count it then. Not sure why I would spot for 4 days before AF like this though

pinkhelp--I did the same thing last month. It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying. I was like, oh, maybe this is implantation bleeding, and was cautiously optimistic (because I don't usually have any spotting, AF just starts), but alas, BFN. Are you by chance taking Vitex or Saw Palmetto? I was wondering if that may be affecting the way my period starts by causing spotting before AF rears her ugly head in her full obnoxious glory.

As for me, I started spotting at 7dpo, but it only lasted a few hours, so I am cautiously optimistic about this month. I tested this morning at 10dpo, but got a BFN with an early response test. But my girlfriend reminded me that it is still early to test and asked when I got a positive with DS1 and when I checked my phone, I found a picture of the pregnancy test I took and it didn't turn positive until like 18 or 19 dpo, so as long as AF stays away, I'm cautiously optimistic. When my girlfriend asked me, I forgot that I had gone to see my OB for my annual with DS1 and they told me the test was negative at the appointment, even though I was 14dpo. At the end of the appointment, after the test sat for 30 minutes, they said they saw a very faint positive (though I couldn't really see it). So maybe I am just one of those women who it takes forever to turn positive for..... fingers crossed for everyone!

Hey Christi! I went off vitex this month after being on it from AF-O for 4 months. Last month I had a really early chemical. So I'm not sure if it's the chemical that made me ovulated early cd 14, or if it was the going off vitex. I usually o on cd 18-19. I'm still holding on to threads of hope for a bfp. We shall see. I've had 2 pregnancies with no spotting/nothing at all and one where I spotted for 7 day very lightly and didnt get a bfp until 16 dpo and it was a real squinter. Do you have any symptoms?

It's hard to say. I've got an obnoxious summer cold, so my temps are staying pretty high post-o (which is consistent with my previous pregnancy), and I've had a little nausea (also consistent with before), but I'm sick, so having an elevated temp and nausea aren't really helpful clues in this particular instance. So who knows....

The most promising sign so far has definitely been the few hours of spotting on 7dpo.....

But, my gut is increasingly feeling like this is the month for us. So much so, that I decided to start my prenatal vitamins (we are taking the next month off, so if it is a bfn, I can always stop them again when af shows up). Plus, I'm sick, so maybe a few extra vitamins will help me get better sooner.

Yesterday I had lots of aches and cramps and I felt really light headed, I'm also a bit constipated (sorry TMI!) so I'm not sure. Time will tell I guess. WOW, so I have some news.
Yesterday, 13 dpo, I had this hot feeling in my pelvis area all day, you know like when your arm is in the sun while driving and feels really hot, ya it felt like the sun was shining on my pubic bone ALL DAY and some lower back pains that were there, but not really that painful. From time to time it would also feel like this on my butt cheeks and my lower back. Well I went to bed and it kept feeling like this, only a bit more intense and then all of a sudden I got the most intense "cramps" on my pubic bone I have ever felt since right before giving birth and they lasted about 40 seconds and then the hot feeling started to let up. Still bfn this am, just checked, but it hasn't been 10 mins yet since i looked. I just know I am now. I had the back thing and the hot thing with my 3rd but not this intense. I think if I really implanted fully this late, no wonder it hurt. Isn't the blastocyst? about a 1/4 inch my now? The baby must have started to implant on Monday (cd 10) causing the spotting and it's continued all week. I'll expect more from all the cramping. We shall see. I'm also worried that such a late implant is not so good, and also worried it means boy, but all 3 of my boys, I had these symptoms about 6-7 dpo, not 13!!!

Sorry for the LONG post! This month I had an attempt at 3.5 day cut off and an o+12 (exactly 12 hrs after I felt the mega cramps from O that lasted about 20 seconds) Hoping this is going to work out for me! Also, my strategy this whole time TTC has been to make it really hard to get pg. So my first attempt, dh released on my and i just wiped a bit of semen on my vj so maybe 1/4 of load and then second attempt was a finger tip of semen at the opening. Will keep you updated! I guess I might get a really late bfp this time?

q-tip test is taking a q-tip and swabbing up around your cervix. If it comes back clearish then you are still in the clear. It comes back red and especially the more red it is AF is on the way!

My husband said he feels like he is "failing" me because we haven't conceived yet. My nephew is 21 months old and his parents are not the best at not using inappropriate language. Well, today he is was looking in his toy box and started saying the f word. Repeatedly. Turns out his word for frog is a cross between frog and duck and it comes out.... Well.. You get the idea. Hahah.... Let's just hope he doesn't encounter too many frogs in public before he learns the correct word, huh? 😃

Lately he's been making all of his animal figures kiss and "ride" each other and will say "cow RIDE dog" . I'm pretty sure I'm 2dpo even though FF is has me at 5dpo and O'ing on CD11 BEFORE my +opk! I think it's wonky because I had an abnormally high temp on the one day I shut our air conditioner off! I think I just got super hot that night! I have 55 charts to look back on and I normally O on CD15 or occasionally on CD14. I'm pretty sure I O'd on CD14 this month which is great since we dtd on CD13 and day before O BD has the highest chance of conception. I'm feeling pretty positive for this month. We were at a wedding in New York without the kids this weekend when we dtd. Then the day after O I felt terrible-- horrible low back pain, diarrhea, and nausea all day. Not sure what was up with that. Thought I ate something bad at the wedding, but DH and I (and his parents) all ate the exact same thing and were fine. Odd. I'm thinking FF should adjust my chart tomorrow if I have another high temp. I won't test till at least 10dpo which is a week from tomorrow.

Hoping that we start getting some BFPs rolling in soon!

My mom who lives nearby figured out my pink sway today. I had chatted with her last year about vegetarians and runners having more girls and then she's noticed me doing all this psycho behavior and losing 25 lbs in a few months and getting crazy skinny and not eating meat.. anyways, yeah she put it together and said "you're just doing all this so you can get a girl!". I had no idea how to respond. EEK. I kind of freaked out and said "Umm, that doesn't really work that way does it?". Anyways, hoping I'm pg soon so I can stop this swaying nonsense and people stop figuring me out!

I have done two tests, one at I think 9 dpo which I know was too early and then again at I think 11dpo, both were negative. My last AF was 37 days long (cycle just off the pill) and I am now on CD 33 and according to my apps AF should have arrived yesterday. So to me I think they are all really strong signs, Especially now I have a cold as that is what happened with my first pregnancy and the strong smells has got me too, 2 nights ago I nearly gagged at the smell of garlic cooking. BUT I only have 1 more test and I don't want to waste it. When should I test again?

Mars - sounds promising! What type of test is it? If it's an IC I'd probably wait until at least 13 dpo, but ideally 14 dpo. If it's a FRER I'd go ahead and try it anytime after 12 dpo.

With my DS I got a strong positive at 9 dpo with FRER and didn't get a positive with the wondfo tests until 15 dpo (AF was due at 13 dpo).

So I caved and used one of my wondfos today, 11 dpo, and of course BFN. I was naughty on the diet yesterday and needed some sort of inspiration to be really strict today. I'm saving my FRER for Friday, 13 dpo, but for now I'm 75% sure I'm not pg. Looking forward to lots of drinking in Europe and buying myself a new "skinny" outfit to make myself feel better :)

Thanks guys. I'm ok. This cycle was a tad shorter then last so I just want to take a few months to get my cycle sorted and then see how we feel. We have been trying for 8 months which I have to say is strange and making me want to give up. We fell first month for both boys. This month we BD twice in the fertile period so I was sure it was going to be positive. I'm going to buy some opks as well but for the time being it's break time so I can enjoy some parties and get my body back in shape :)

Wow this just wasnt a good month for a lot of us was it? I totally did not expect to join you all this month as I was not planning to start my new and fresh sway after a two month break (June, July )until October:omg:. I had just bought my fertility blend supplements and began taking them with my fish oil caps, and drinking green tea. I am super bummed because there is a lot that went wrong with this cycle and I absolutely did not expect to ovulate because I always have a non ovulatory cycle right after I always stop bcp. To begin with I stopped taking all vitamins during my break, was having unprotected sex, the DH (Sorry TMI) used hand lotion as lubricant during all BD’s:nono: that occurred. I did also try to add pre-seed after I had my booboo but I think that the lotion he put on himself is going to overpower the pre-seed. There is a reason to why the DH did that and this is because he does not know that I started to sway. I did not want him to have performance issues or be stressed over it but I kept my mouth shut when he would add and kept telling myself “at least I added pre-seed”. I also had to reset my CBFM monitor because I failed to take out the batteries which continued to add days to the cycle I last used it on. To top it all off I was loosing some weight which I know does not favor boy sways and from my previous two daughter’s I conceived them in the process of loosing weight. The only thing I did do different this time was not skipping breakfast. So here is what I have so far.

Started Fertility Blend Supplements, Fish Oil and Green Tea

Stopped BCP (Last Day of Pack):

AF arrived:
8/5/2014- Tuesday (Reset CBFM- CD1)

I expect to ovulate some time today or early morning tomorrow from my previous cycle experiences. I never go past the second peak day of my cbfm without ovulating and this was because I temped for 6 months while using the cbfm. I had highly considered using the morning after pill but I figured it took me this long of trying and still not getting pregnant that I should just let this month go and wait to see what happens. My conscience was telling me how horrible I was for even thinking it so I am just going to suck it up and go team green. I really hope I still have a slight chance of having a baby boy:drama: after all of the stuff that I did wrong. Good luck Yogi! Sounds like a good chance at blue still! Three attempts in the fertile window is great for boys so did you get that many? Or maybe you need to BD tonight and tomorrow too? I'm 12 DPO (?) and BFN and definite AF feelings so I'm 99.9% sure I'm out. I'm actually very much at peace with it. I was considering taking this month off attempting anyways (due to a huge vacation we leave for in 2 weeks I didn't want to be pg for!), so really it's not the end of the world. I'm kind of bummed because DH and I were both quite sick from CD1-CD10 and was thinking that would help the sway, but it is what it is. I'm having a very nice bottle of wine with DH tonight and ordering my favorite dinner (veggie pizza) to cheer me up!

Thank you for your response!! I was able to get 3bd's since my first high reading in a four day window. I don't think I have the energy for more lol. The dhs libido was higher earlier in the week but yesterday was more of a necessity to cover up my boo boo. I pray that it is what you say.

I said I wouldn't get too excited bc we had a chemical last month, but last month the line was very faint and never got darker. This line came out right away and it's as dark as when I'm getting a positive opk :)

I posted in a few other threads already, but I did get a very unexpected BFP last night. I've since tested 6x and so far all very faintly positive. DH still believes it "doesn't count" because they are too light. I even used a digital one but he said it's too "early" to count. LOL.

I actually ended buying only a few from my local dollar tree store only because I gave all of my opks (more than 50+ wondfo opks + wondfo hpt's+ frer's :((**) and everything I had bought for ttc to a coworker because I was fed up and I didn't want to ttc anymore. They are called New Choice Ovulation Predictor compare to Clearblue. The reason was because this whole ttc and swaying took a toll on me and I was tired of not getting pregnant. I did temp from September 2013 to May 2014 and i just stopped doing it. I was hardly getting any sleep as it was and having to wake up at the exact time and temp made me loose my mind lol.

I think that's a good sign. You still had positive opks last week so maybe this is a implantation dip. I have heard from many veterans that you shouldn't go by your temps after because not everyone experiences a dip and also atomic says low temps very boy friendly. Hang in there! Wahhh, BFN on a FRER at 11dpo using FMU with an 11 hour hold. :(

essnce - I had a BFN at 11 or 12 dpo using a FRER (and I always get AF 14 dpo). I was so sure I was out because the chart says 99% of women get a positive 3 days before their period is due or whatever. I took a wondfo at 13 dpo and BFN, then finally at 14 dpo I got a BFP on a wondfo (very very faint) and then went out and bought another FRER at 15 dpo and FINALLY got a BFP on 15 dpo on FRER.

I got a BFP at 9 dpo for my son so I was sure I'd get another early one this time! Not to give you false hope, just letting you know sometimes even with a negative on FRER at 11 dpo you can still be pregnant :)

I didn't end up testing today at 12dpo. I think I'm just going to wait. I'll see what my temp does in the morning and decide whether or not I'm going to take another test. AF usually shows up on 14dpo, which is on Saturday, but last month I had a short 11 day LP so who knows what will happen this time. TMI, but I had a lot of dried cm on my underwear when I went to the bathroom this evening and it looked pinkish/brownish to me. There was absolutely nothing when I wiped though. So not sure if my eyes were playing tricks, or there was a little spotting, and/or AF is showing up in the morning. If anything exciting happens in the morning I'll update! It's almost 2am here so I'm off to bed. Tomorrow is the day before DS1's 11th birthday sleepover party so I have a lot of errands to run and will be cleaning up the house a bunch.

Dropping in to say hello and hoping everyone is hanging in there on this tedious 2ww. I my self don't know what day I ovulated and I also do not really know what dpo I am today. I have no symptoms whatsoever. During this oops cycle I did experience a lot of nipple tenderness but its slowly faded away during the 2ww which only tells me its a no go. I beleive I tested on Saturday but that was a negative and today I also tested and another bfn. I expect my af this friday the latest but I'll continue testing until I am all out of the dollar tree tests I bought :rolleyes: I honestly do not feel like investing in frer's just because this cycle was a booboo and I did a naughty thing I should not have done while ttc lol. :eek: Wishing you all positive vibes and sending you all tons of baby dust :p

I had a +opk last Monday the 18th, we dtd after only 3 days from the time before instead of 4, wanting to simply up our odds of conceiving, then Tuesday's opk was even more stark raving positive. So I am not sure if I o'd Monday or Tuesday, but I don't believe it was later than that as I had only had ewcm off and on over the weekend. I didn't religiously do opk's this time, only here and there once I saw a change in cm, maybe 4 of them over 4 days? So I am likely either 8 or 9 dpo, but since I feel no symptoms of anything, other than breaking out which sometimes happens as part of joyous pms as well, I will just wait and see if and when AF hits. I will only test if I get a day or 2 past when it's expected. Only 1 FRER left, I am not going to waste it. Honestly I would be shocked if this was our month. Good luck to all the calendar/clock watchers this month. :)

After a d&c at 12 weeks I am here with an oops. My opk suddenly turned positive after a night without protection and I wasn't expecting a positive opk in a million years since the day before was white and I always have have a gradual fade in. I'm guessing it's due to my cycle being wacko. I won't be testing until September 9th or so but wanted to send my well wishes to everyone here still waiting!! Hope to see a bunch of bfps soon. I myself was hoping to have a period after my d&c before conceiving but sometimes life chooses the path for us and if I'm pregnant than it was meant to be. I didn't sway but since I've had two losses I think I'm okay with it.

I was worried because I for one did not do much of the diet and two I :eek: got a tattoo and I hear that is super bad during pregnancy. It felt like a ton of brick off my shoulders was taken off when AF. I was a bit bummed because who doesn't want to see two nice pink lines but it was only for the good.

Rosie I had taken a break but had been SILENTLY stalking the thread and I want your to know that you have been in my thoughts. I know you must be going through a lot after your mc :( but I look up to you for hanging in there and still staying positive. I hope your pink bundle of joy is soon on her way.

I also wanted to mention to you that I used you as a positive example with a coworker who had an early mc at about 8 weeks. She was devastated and took it very hard. I told her about gender dreaming and about how we are united and are a great support group with not just the intention of swaying. She just started ttc again after her loss that happened last year around November this august but had no success on her first month so I gave her a few tips like the basics such as pre-seed, fish oil for her and her dh, (she would love her first to be a boy but is staying team green ;) ) and green tea lol but she seems discouraged. I told her about you and how you were able to conceive after and mc and how positive you are and this brought a big smile to her face and I could see it brought her spirit back up. Well they had a big huge sign saying no pregnant women and when I googled it, it said that during a tattoo healing process you have a high risk of bacteria and infection and it takes a lot for your body to heal. It also says that the ink goes into the blood ****** so It will also effect the baby. So basically you are doing more harm to the baby than anything. :)
