I recently started the 21 day fix program from Beachbody. It is a 21 day work-out that also comes with an eating plan. I have about 15-20 pounds that I would like to lose so my plan is to keep repeating this until I reach my goal.
The work-out is a combination of cardio, pilates, and yoga with each day having a different focus. Weights and/or a resistance band are used during the work-outs.
In the meal plan portion, it is sort of like weight watchers in that you figure out what you can eat based on your weight. In this plan, there are containers that correspond to different food groups. Based on my weight, I get 4 portions of protein, 3 vegetables, 2 fruits, 2 carbs, 1 fat (like hummus/avocado), and 1 cheese. The portions are what fit into the different containers.
In addition to this, I have begun shakeology which is another beachbody product that is basically a protein powder. It is has alot of stuff in it like pro and pre-biotics and other healthy powerfoods. It says that it alkalizes the body.
On a typical day, here is what I have been eating:
Breakfast: lite greek yogurt, a piece of whole wheat toast with peanut butter, coffee with a splash of milk and one packet of truvia
Snack: piece of fruit (peach, banana, or melon)
Lunch: salad with either tuna or chicken, dressing of red wine vinegar or balsamic vinegarette
Snack: shakeology shake with fruit in it (usually strawberries & blueberries)
Dinner: some type of meat, veggies, and rice/potato
Snack: if I have any containers left for the day I will put them into one last snack for the night
So, I know that on the typical boy sway diet, you would want to up your calories. What are your thoughts on this plan as it is right now? Would it really sway pink or is there enough blue friendly stuff there?
Thanks so much for anyone that responds!
