Hi Ladies,

Thanks to AS, I think I figured out why I never got a + OPK- I would start taking them at CD17/18 because FF said I O'd on CD19-21.
Well, she said it looked more like CD14-16 and today I got a GLARINGLY positive OPK (it sat longer than 5 minutes, but it is DARK)!
With that said, I need advice on DTD. We ***really*** want our girl, even if it means another month with a - (so it's not imperative that we get pregnant this month).

Today is CD14 - at 9:30 I had a tinge of blood in my CM when I wiped (sorry, TMI) and a positive OPK minutes later.
We last DTD CD11 at night. I used repHresh before and after, and on CD12 we sat in the hot tub (not sure if that would kill off any swimmers who made it in me?)

With that said, it's only been three days and I'm nervous about messing up my sway (I have been very diligent for months and would hate to mess it up with poor timing -- even though timing has been disproved, I have it so engrained in my brain that it's hard to kick).

Advice? If it is to DTD, should I try and time it to 9:30/10pm tonight to be 12 hours after the bleeding? Also, if we do do it, what should I do/not do today?

Thanks a billion! :suprise:

I would Dtd tonight without rephresh. I would think you'd be ok but hopefully others will chime in.

Update: GLARINGLY positive OPK this evening (just a little while ago). It was more positive than this morning.
I'm drinking a glass of red and DH is getting ready to hit the hot tub for a little bit.
I just painted my nails and slathered on some lavender essential oils. I'm getting nervous :giggle:

Please send some sticky pink baby dust my way!!!!!

First, don't stress, it sways blue! Second, I don't think you're going to ruin your sway by trying the third day instead of the 4th. I would NOT try an O+12 as only the most best eggs survive 12 hours anyway and it takes the sperm 3-4 hours to get to them! I think you have done all you can, good luck!

I would BD tonight or tomorrow. Good luck!

I would have had you stick with the one attempt. Has nothing to do with O day or not, it has to do with the 3 days vs. 4 and you not being in a big hurry to conceive. I'd have wanted you to err on the side of the one attempt (altho I admit with RepH before and after - and please ladies, DON'T FREAKING DO THAT the odds are slim with that other attempt). But whatever you did was the right answer.

O+12 does not sway and the bleeding probably has nothing to do with the egg actually coming from the ovary. Much more likely your cervix getting soft as ovulation approaches. True O spotting usually takes a bit of time to come out - it is NOT "oh there's some blood, I've now ovulated and 12 hours later will be O+12". Instead it's a tiny amount of fluid and blood comes out with ovulation that then has to make it all the way down the tube, thru the uterus, and out and it does not add up that that would happen immediately upon ovulation.
