Okey, sorry if it's tmi for some..
But can you tell by smell or consistence if your ewcm is acidic? For example a smell that reminds of very acid sour cream or something like that? Don't think i'm crazy now. -A serious thought. I have noticed a change down there lately.

We are prett sure ph (acidity) doesn't even sway. Smell is unfortunately more indicative of an infection.

It isn't a bad smell, not a good either (if it even can smell good?) just a different. (Sorry!) I don't think it's i infection, i have never had that. No issues or what so ever besides this observation. I have tried to eat a more girl friendly diet lately, a diet that reminds of what i was eating when i conceived dd. A lots of dairies and aspartame for example.

No, you cannot tell pH or anything about swaying on the basis of smell.

It is most likely just a bit of a change in the types of microorganisms that are populating the area. We don't have enough information to indicate if the types of microorganisms colonizing the area have any effect on gender ratio.

You can't tell pH by smell and pH probably doesn't sway anyway. But I do think there is a slight difference in smell between very fertile clear, stretchy, jelly-like (egg white) cervical mucous and the less fertile, thicker, white/opaque creamy mucous. And we do think that creamy CM sways girl. But it usually takes a while (at least a week) on the diet or Vitex for CM to change.

Viisual & tactile examination of CM is much more accurate and useful than smelling it, so not much pount in trying to!
