Hi ladies, how is everyone hanging in there. Well I am starting off my future when attempts with a positive attitude. I told the dh because he asked not to know when I was planning my next sway that he no longer use hand lotion as lube. Sorry TMI but the lotion is more of habit than anything. So I said to stop now so he won't know in the future when I start trying. He agreed and still asked that I not tell him a word. Little does he know that I am attempting soon and not next year lol. He thinks we are starting ib January :p Good Luck to you all!

Missxo, there is a possibility you could get a bfp at 12 dpo. That's when I got mine with my youngest. Not that I am encouraging you to test ;)

That's a good idea yogi. Sometimes the element of surprise is the best. I told dh after we bd that the time to try was at that point. I only told him because he asked. I'm regretting it now as he is asking me at least once a day if I'm pregnant of have signs of pregnancy.

I'm just hanging out for FF to give me my crosshairs. I have cramping but, have also had a slightly funny stomach. I was feeling achy last night at work, almost fluey. I'm really trying not to look into symptoms though. It feels like an eternity since I got my +OPK and it was only 3 days ago.

Hey ladies. I started doing opks yesterday to see if they darken because with my last pregnancy they got darker everyday and then I knew for sure I was pregnant. So my test today is twice as dark and yesterday! Yikes. I've been cramping and nauseous and have tingling nipples. So I'm either pregnant for sure or ovulating soon again...I am 7 dpo today I think which is when the opk got darker last time too. Oh man im just not sure how I feel about the strong possibility of being pregnant. I'm so nervous.

Rosie I am 100% positive. I had a full and heavy af with the whole shabang (clots/sorry tmi) and it just ended like 3 days ago. I hope the whole batch of hpts aren't faulty. I took a second and that was a big fat negative so I feel much much better.

What is this about using opks to test for pregnancy? Can you please tell me more about that?

Rosie don't count yourself out yet-- I had a blaring +opk two days before AF was due two cycles ago and knew I for sure couldn't be pregnant as I was back on the mini-pill that month and then when I got pregnant with DS2 I tried taking opks at 10 and 12 dpo, which was the same days I got my BFPs and the opks were negative. So I definitely wouldn't put too much stock into them. I've read plenty of stories of women who got BFPs with start white opks so you never know! How many dpo are you?

Oh Rosie! I'm so sorry about your second loss! I've been trying to stay off the sight since my loss (then what I suspect was a chemical last month since I had bfp followed by bfns). HUGE HUGS!!! We just had out first attempt this month last night, so I'm feeling hopeful again. :) We're doing every 4 days, as that's what seemed to work the first bfp. This is month #8 TTC for us...running out of steam... Lol!

Crazy since with my boys, we have two "oopsies" and one where all we had to do was think about babies and he showed up.

Im out. Have blood today and a bfn. Im 100% positive the egg fertilized but my lining clearly wasnt sufficient enough to have a solid implantation. Even though I was barely pregnant im still so sad. All of this loss is really breaking me. Im not sure I will ever be able to carry a baby again. I will try like we planned for a june baby and if that one miscarries too im stopping and getting some testing done. I feel like if I dont get a baby soon I shouldn't keep trying. I dont want more than 3 years between my kids it isnt appealing to me. I should have never gotten my hopes up that this was my miracle baby. Stupid me for thinking something in my life was going to work out.

So sorry to hear it Rosie. :( Just wanted to put it out there that I have 2 almost 4 year gaps between babies 2 and 3 and then again between 3 and 4 (didn't want it that way but that's what worked out financially) and I actually love it. Allowed me to spend extra time with them as little ones and they were soooo sweet with the new baby as almost 4 year olds. I promise its not the end of the world! :) Hang in there. Hello ladies. I don't know why I'm here. But really need your opinions. My dh had a vasectomy last Sept. He went in three months later with a specimen and got the all clear. We has not had "relations" at all. Life got in the way...and 5 kids too. We dtd almost 2 weeks ago. I just got af back July 16th. Hadn't had it for 2 years. Pregnant and nursing to thank for that. My cycle last month was only 26 days. Today I'm on day 30 with no sign of af. I'm having a dull ache in what feels like my left ovary. I'm a poasaholic. But I don't feel there's a need to test. My husband got fixed. And my cycle is probably still out of whack. Would you guys be worried?

I am so crampy just 2 dpo, and i know with my fertility issues the likelihood of me being pregnant is none and I would have no signs at this point anyway. Yey!!!! so I was able to get one bd last night. Didint try this morning just because I have to leave my house early in the morning for work but I hinted to bd when I gave him a kiss goodbye this morning. I woke up to one Big + OPK & CBFM. I hope I can squeeze one or two more bd"s tonight and tomorrow :p Although I am almost 99% positive I won't get a BFP as I have not for the past almost year, I feel more positive about getting back to swaying TTC'ing this month.

So can I ask about evap lines? I've been spotting for a couple of days and my temp has dropped although AF hasn't arrived yet. So I've just done an hpt and there was an evap line. So I thought as it had been half an hour maybe it was false so I did another hpt and looked at it within 10 mins and there was the faintest of lines there ...even DH could see it. Am I getting my hopes up? Anyone else had experience of evap/really really faint positive tests?

I'm currently 6dpo so I still have some time to wait before I test. I'm going to try to hold off on testing until the 21st. That's the day AF is due. I was feeling really hopeful but on the 10th I got a terrible UTI out of nowhere. The 11th I went to urgent care and the doctor prescribed me some antibiotics and pain medication to get rid of the infection. I've been trying to google whether or not the antibiotics and medication will have any effects on whether or not implantation could occur (if there is anything to implant :rolleyes: ) or if it would harm anything in general. I couldn't find much other than that there's a chance it could be bad, but letting the infection go on could be worse. It's all so frustrating. The worst part is, because this is only my first month and I'm shy I was too embarrassed to tell the dr. that I'm ttc. Boyfriend feels bad, he thinks he caused it from all the BD. Does anyone here have any experience with a UTI while ttc?

Tigerlily, sorry I didn't see your post. You must have posted the same time I was writing my post. Sorry I have no experience ttc and having a uti but, yes I believe it would be better to take a chance and have antibiotics. Uti's can get pretty nasty. Next time something comes up, you really need to tell the Dr you're trying for a baby. There are almost always alternatives to medications that are safe while ttc. Wishing you the best of luck.

weezie - that's tough because I'm DTD every 4 days but my cycles are somewhat regular so I have a decent idea of ovulation. In your case I'd probably test weekly (especially if you have a ton of internet cheapies). I don't think I could stand to wait every 2 weeks!

What tests are you using? Get yourself a FRER. At 15dpo you should get a dark line on a FRER if pregnant. FX for you!

Ladies I need some input!! I noticed something very strange today... (this could be tmi) My labia and clitoris are like a purple color???!! !! They have always been like a rose/lipstick shade of darker pink. (I have brown skin). I shave every day so I'm very familiar with the appearance of my bits and know that this has never happened before. When I try googling it I feel like I'm only getting results about women who are very pregnant, like 3rd trimester types. It has me so perplexed I even checked WebMD. All it says is it could be bruised skin? It doesn't hurt like a bruise, and I honestly can't imagine bruising my labia minora or my clitoris.

I read its related to pregnancy. I doubt its an injury. However if AF comes I definitely suggest you call your ob so they can take a look and diagnose you.

I think that's a great sign Tigerlily! Everything has increased blood supply during pregnancy and thus the blueish color. Even the cervix turns blueish and would be seen during a pap smear during early pregnancy. It's common for the labia and vagaina to become swollen as well as it's engorged with blood (some people say it feels "tighter" when dtd). FX for you and I hope you get your BFP in the next couple of days!

Congrats Essnce! Lovely news. Two of my friends have given birth in the last few days. One it was her first and she is one of three girls herself so wanted a girl, and she got her girl. The other has a boy and wanted another one, and she got her boy. I am really pleased for them but also feel a bit low today. I am only testing every fortnight due to not monitoring my cycles and used a cheapy this morning and it was a BFN. This is my third one as we've been trying since the beginning of August. Weirdly, the other two didn't seem to faze me but today's has knocked me. I guess I'd subconsciously decided that this one would be a BFP, so was really disappointed. Want to raid the cookie jar! :sigh:

I noticed that the purple tint on my yoni has faded quiet a bit. I don't feel pregnant at all anymore. I tested this morning at 10dpo with a store brand blue-dye +or- test and it was a bfn. Then I went out and bought some FRER because I want to know NOW!! :(

FRER was a nasty pale white bfn. It put me in a bad mood for a while today. Worst part is my boyfriend even commented on my bbs looking larger and I just said thanks but in my mind I was screaming "don't get my hopes up!" :drama:

I wish I could say I was all calm and optimistic but I'm not. I don't have the willpower to wait either. Tomorrow morning I'll test again... :rolleyes:

That's hopeful! I only had the one blue test. It was on sale for $4 a few weeks ago so I just bought it. I have 3 more dollar store tests, 2 FRER, and 1 CB digi. I'll probably take one FRER tomorrow morning. Then assuming I'm still bfn I'll take a dollar store on 12dpo, FRER on 13dpo, and dollar store 14dpo and possibly 15 is AF is late. I want to save the digi until I get a standard bfp so I can show my bf :baby:

Just placed my order on Amazon for FRER and the digital clear blues that tell you how many weeks you are. I was so fed up with my last BFN on a FRER last cycle (at 13 dpo) that I had none left and then when I WAS pregnant I had to go buy them at the store. They are so much cheaper on Amazon - wow, I will never forget to order them again! I did purposely pick the "slow shipping" on Amazon (I usually have prime), so they won't come in until late next week so I won't test super early.

I do have a question for the ladies that use wondfo OPK and temp. I got what I would consider a positive (95% as dark as the control line) yesterday and I confirmed with a clearblue smiley face style. This morning just for fun I took another wondfo OPK and it's crazy dark , much darker than the control. If you had to guess do you think I will ovulate today (day after first positive) or tomorrow (day after "darkest" positive)? Any experience with this? We already BD Tuesday, so definitely not adding an attempt.. just curious if you guys think our attempt was 3 days before O or 2 days before O? Thanks

Hi bluebonnet, in my experience it is difficult to determine ovulation with such accuracy. I've taken to testing twice a day ( as I'm sure I missed it one month) as previously my surge used to be really short. Whereas now I get positive opks (with smiley faces) for 2 days so I find it difficult to pinpoint my ovulation. As I now just want to be pregnant we dtd all through the fertile window rather than just the day of the first positive opk. I'm 35 now and currently in month 5 of ttc so don't want to reduce our chances of conceiving even though we are ttc a girl. Sorry, this probably doesn't help you at all!
AF arrived today which I'm glad about. Definitely just had a chemical pregnancy so fingers crossed that this month is gonna be our month!!!

Bluebonnet, I would say you will ovulate tomorrow. I often have an OPK that's very close to a positive. I can guarantee the next day it will be positive with a temperature shift indicating ovulation the following day.

Bluebonnet-- I agree that you will O tomorrow or the next day. For me, I was getting too many +opks in a row (Wondfo and CB Digital brand were too sensitive for me) and would get about 2 days of +opks with test lines equal than the control, then I'd get a day with the test line darker than the control and would O 1-2 days after that. Then I'd still get +opks two days after that as well. I switched to the early-pregnancy-tests.com opks and would only get a +opk for ONE day (tested twice a day so I didn't miss it)! Much better.

Personally, if I was in your situation, I'd see what your temp is tomorrow and if it's still low I'd dtd again tomorrow night. That would put you at dtd the day before O which is the highest chance of conception. I think the sperm from Tuesday would be dead if you don't O till Fri or Sat.

Hey ladies. I'm not doing too well at avoiding the forums these last few days. I've had a week or two of unusually busy socialising, which makes LE very tricky. I've actually been really proud of how well I've chosen from the menus but I imagine I have still eaten more fat and cals than I've been doing in general. It's annoying as I've been so very very good since starting this diet in April but can't be as good right now that we're DTD. I guess I can but try. I'm out again for dinner on Monday but I'll have a salad or something. Fingers crossed that all the hard work over the last 4-5 months will convince my body that a few fat-rich meals aren't the norm and that times are still hard! I am also finding it frustrating that I don't know when I will O so we have no idea when to try or test etc. I'm still planning on testing weekly/fortnightly but I'm struggling with waiting! I keep feeling like I want to just order a takeaway and drink a bottle of wine but I know I can't do either. I really want a BFP asap!!! Thanks for letting me vent. I am so happy you had the opportunity to vent. Try checking your cm to find out when you ovulate. I was able to determine my ovulation by doing so, and by bbt. I no longer bbt because that's annoying for me. Some women go solely with cm to determine ovulation. I will usually have two watery cm days and then it usually becomes EWCM which is another two full days following a very sudden and abrupt change to creamy which means my ovulation took place a few hours before. weezie - so frustrating! I probably would have tons of cheap hcg tests on hand and just take one whenever I wanted to drink a glass of wine. If you aren't pregnant enough to show up on a test, it's still very safe to drink a glass of wine here and there. I need the wine to keep my sanity after all of these months!! I have a birthday party to go to next weekend, and now that I know I will only be 7 dpo or 8 dpo, as long as I test negative I'm going to have a glass of wine to relax (and to throw off anyone suspicious that I might be pregnant!).

yogi- when are you going to test? I've been looking forward to a positive update from you!

So an update to my annoying question about OPK. Thursday was my super dark OPK and yesterday (Friday) I had watery CM and tons of ovulation cramping so I thought I ovulated yesterday . Now today I have tons of cramping and watery CM again so I'm scared I didn't ovulate until today (or won't until tonight). I should have listened to you essnce and added another attempt since our attempt was on TUESDAY and now I'm worried that was too early for a Saturday ovulation! UGH. I think I'm going to go hurry and DTD now during nap time just in case. I know DTD on the day of ovulation makes conception nearly impossible, but I guess I have to at least try!

I thought I wouldn't be writing here since it just stresses me out to analyze symptoms and read about other ladies getting pregnant but I need to vent! I am 11dpo and I feel so pregnant' I'm feeling warm and sweaty, nausea that comes and goes, cramps and so thirsty, exactly like the last time I was pregnant. I did a cheapy test this evening and nothing, all though they are said to be ultra sensitive.

If I'm not pregnant this time I will never read into any symptoms again!

How many dpo do most women get a positive test?

I am 8 dpo and I think I might test 11 dpo. I was doing opks up to date (big nono and & should know better) but they were somewhat dark up to 6 dpo but they've started getting lighter :( which makes me believe its a no go. I have had having quite a few symptoms lately but the most noticeable have been tingling and sharp pains in my boobs which I never get as I approach af a lot of cramping but it could be like the dh says "its all in your head" so O could just be going nuts lol. I hardly ever have any symptoms what so ever.

Regarding the opks, with me I always have the equal dark opk the night before my cbfm monitor catches my surge and I usually ovulate the night of my second peak meaning the second day on my monitor. So if I am correct you should ovulate 72 hours after you saw the equally dark opk. I use wondfos and my cbfm simultaneously and It has been the same for me always. I hope you get your bfp soon. It never hurts to do one more bd so I would say go for it. Later you will look back and have wanted to make that last attempt. Good luck! & Thank-you for checking in :p

Bluebonnet- my girlfriend had the same thing happen to her so I would TOTALLY have another attempt today, if you can. That is how my girfriend got her girl. She didn't think she would get pregnant either. She was surprised when she got a bfp, she thought she got her son's illness. She was even surprised when the gender results came back girl. She had a boy name on stand by just in case!

Weezie- have a drink and relax. My OB said you can until you get a bfp and even until the second trimester, although I never did that late.

TigerLily-- Stay positive and just think that now you have time to perfect your sway next cycle. A lot of the opposites happen in those who get pregnant the first month when TTC pink. You really want to decrease your fertility for a girl sway, so you increase your chances if it takes a few cycles. Good luck!

Happy-- Maybe you should try a FRER. My FRER was a very noticeable BFP on 11dpo, but my cheapy Wondfo from last night at 14dpo was still pretty light (was much darker today at 15dpo). You're not out yet!

AF came today. I start on clomid this next cycle, and I am super bummed I will have to stop nursing DD :(
I was really hoping to get pregnant on my own and avoid having to wean her.

This month was sort of a bust for BFP's. I hope next month brings us all luck! Congrats to any and all BFP's that I missed in the comments.

Our attempts ended up being either O-4 and ovulation day OR O-3 and O+1. Not great timing, but I will keep my fingers crossed it was good enough. DH and I have decided October will be our last month TTC for awhile (at least until January). We both need some time off from the stress of it all. Hoping this month is a BFP so it doesn't come down to that! I'm 1 dpo (or 2 dpo) today and will start testing crazy early next weekend because I have some parties involving drinking to attend and want to make sure I didn't ovulate or implant early.

If not, then I highly suggest avoiding the boards in the 2 weeks before O as I think it helps reduce all the stress and anxiety. Both Kitkat and I did that and came back in the 2WW with BFPs!

Thanks ladies. RE alcohol, I think I'd rather have none at all, than have to worry about how much and whether I've implanted etc. I kinda told myself I'd stop drinking and taking Vitex when we started actively TTC as I am not charting at all. RE monitoring my CM, I've only noticed a tiny bit here and there, which is good as I would normally have more per cycle. Great idea though to make a note of it and see if it helps me find a pattern. I have finished the cheapy ones but I bought two proper PG tests so may use one tomorrow morning. Does anyone else delay using one as they know a BFN will affect their mood for the day? On Wednesday my BFN really surprised me (I'm an optimist!) and knocked my mood a bit.
