View Full Version : Clomid sway- should I take anything else?

Well after some research (albeit last minute, unfortunately) I've crossed over from the IG diet to the LE diet. I've been doing a version of the LE diet for around 5 months in an effort to lose weight (although I'm unsure about my sodium intake as I wasn't tracking). I have lost almost 30lbs and am continuing on. I have dropped supplements (was taking Ca, Mag, Cranberry.. the whole IG plethora) and AF showed up a week early. I'll be picking up my clomid on monday (CD#3) and will discuss with my OB the plan whether to take it 3-7 or 5-9. I don't believe I will get a trigger shot, as I didn't last time (when I used it and conceived my DS#1). I'm also breastfeeding (which I wasn't when I conceived either son) so I understand both of those things sway pink. Should I add anything? (Already taking folic acid and have been for months). New plan is to BD once at +OPK. Suggestions on how long to abstain prior? Just trying to get my ducks in a row since I'm in a time crunch. I'd love to hear from anyone with suggestions or who has swayed pink with clomid :) Thanks in advance!!

I doubt sodium does anything anyway.

I would have your DH doing reg. release every 2-4 days and then go for one attempt at the pos OPK.

I should also add I've been on Wellbutrin (antidepressant) for years.

This should sway pink a bit (even if you got boys on it before)

I am sorry I am not quite following your question - any more with the Clomid like what?

Do you mean other things like adding vitex or other girly sway things? If so i'd personally leave it, clomid and diet are a good sway and since clomic cycles are limited we really wanna get pregnant sooner rather than later, im on my 4th cycle of it next month so over half way :-( x

Yes I mean other things like supplements like vitex or baby aspirin, etc

With clomid you only need to take folic acid, nothing else. Your husband could add OLE (olive leaf extract).

Started the Clomid today CD5. Excited to get this show on the road. I was looking at the spreadsheet and of the Clomid sways, most had the best success with frequent BD? ( unless I'm reading it wrong). Atomic your recommendations is still one attempt at pos OPK, right?

Just read your PM and since this is really the only month you are able to TTC (right???) I would advise BD every 4 days plus one additional attempt at pos OPK.

Every four days starting now, right? My period just ended so I will get on that tomorrow :) thank you ma'am!!

Yes this is the only month we can TTC really. My dr gave me six months of Clomid but due to timing I think this month is going to be our only shot until next year. We may get a chance in October but not sure.
