I had a scan at 14w4d where baby measured 15w1d, I asked the tech to guess and she said she didn't see any boy parts so she guessed girl, and "her initial guess was girl" but it was early (generic cover). I found out dd1 was a girl around 15weeks so I figure if I had a chance at a boy it would be obvious with a baby measuring 15w1d?

Could you post the picture? My boys were super duper obvious at 15w1d.

It kinda depends on the shot and whether they were guessing on "lack of boy parts." If they identified labia,I'd say its not likely to turn into a boy. But if it was more of a "oh, I don't see much," it be less inclined to paint a room. At 16 weeks my boys were very clear boys. But at 14 weeks one of my boys was "hiding" and they couldn't see much. They didn't guess on that scan, since he was not showing himself. But I couldn't see any boy parts at that one (to my untrained eye) and yet they were obvious at 16 weeks. So it just kinda depends.

It was an expresscare scan so I didn't get any printouts and wasn't thinking to ask if I could grab a shot with my phone, but after we got measurements I asked and she looked around for about 5-10 min. Baby kept closing its legs so couldn't get a good potty shot and the profile view there was no visible nub. She said the baby was being so active that she couldn't get any defining shots but didn't see any boy parts, which is basically how my ob put it to me with dd (she knew I wanted a boy, this tech did not). Then she went on to say she "would guess girl, which was her initial guess anyway but it could still be early. Can't say a definite either way"

With DS3 we gad a moment we thought he was a girl, cause the tech couldn't find boy Parts. We went to a private scan and he was all boy.

I would suspect if she said girl, even tentatively, it probably is a girl. I know my doctor's office has the policy that they don't tell gender till 18 weeks, so before that they won't give a firm reply either way.

Hoping that there was just a little something extra hidden!! (but OMG your little girl is the CUTEST thing ever!!)
