Everyone who has seen my ultrasound picture on every group and page I have posted all tell me the gender I want to hear. However.. I emailed Dr. Rhamzi himself and paid the $10 fee for him to read my ultrasound picture. He told me the gender I do not want to hear.. so of course im obsessing hoping to get other opinions so I can feel better. This is a tummy ultrasound.. so external. I was supposed to be 9 weeks at this ultrasound but I am measuring about a week behind so apprently this is 8 weeks. It was done at a free clinic and only last 2 mins and I was not allowed to ask questions.

I would not put any real stock into Ramzi method. No ultrasound techs, OBs, Perinatologists, Reproductive Endocrinologists, use his "method" for gender determination. He has a 50/50 shot to be correct. There was never ever any follow up studies done, nothing to verify his "science".

Thanks for responding it means a lot. I didnt want to put any suggestions so I could get opinions first. He suggested its a boy. Im pretty sure he did flip it. But what confuses me is..
I know my baby is on the left side of my body, the ultrasound pic is showing the baby on the left of my body so Im wondering if maybe the us tech flipped it while she was doing it? Ive heard theres a button they can push to make it flip.. therfore we wouldnt need to flip if she already did..? Make sense?! Its hard to explain what i mean but basically
My baby is on the left of me for sure but in the us pic if you were to flip it like you normally would it would put the baby way over on the left.. so maybe the us tech did a real view or something?! I know rhamzi has nothing to do with the baby its about the placenta but am I making sense at all?

you are making sense to me.My scan at 7 weeks shows baby on the right like yours so im guessing my baby is on the left meaning girl when mirrored.Obviously Im not sure exact location of placenta but am confused to why he would say boy based on your pic! Does your scan pic say anything about left or right ovaries being visiallised?

I have 3 sons on the left Side. And this one on the left too. (Don't know gender though) but it would be wrong for Ramzi 3 times

I also have a bit of a hard time buying into Ramzi theory because as the PP suggested, I think if it worked as well as the claims say, everyone would be doing it. I hope you end up hearing your DG.

my baby is also on the left side.... so i went along and the whole time i have been imagining holding a baby girl in march... had my 12wk scan and eveyone said the nub is a classic boy nub... i was upset because id been dreaming of a baby girl! had my 16wk gender scan this morning and yup hes a boy! so that ramzi method isnt as good as it sounds. dont pay too much attention to it

By his own guidelines you wouldn't be able to guess at your gestation, you can't see the placenta in your image, etc. This is how he keeps people from calling him on his BS. If you say "I had my 20 week ultrasound, and the placenta is on the left but I am having a boy." He will claim you are too far along for an accurate determination according to his theory. It is all BS. You may be having a boy, but it will have nothing to do with his guess. Or you may have a girl, but it will have nothing to do with the side the baby is on.

Thank you to everyone def gives me hope!! I really do think its a girl! The babies heart rate is the exact same as my daughters, I am throwing up just like I did with her, craving all the same foods. I am excited to get a 12 week us done so we can do the skull/nub theory =)

One more thing I wanted to add. According to the study a "dye" was placed into the chorionic villi (I might be remembering the word wrong), and that it had to be done around 6 weeks. Since he didn't do that to you, and your baby, then how can he possibly claim accuracy? And if says now he can accurately guess just by looking at the image, don't you think that in the 30 plus years Ob's, techs, a slew of different doctors have been looking at ultrasounds would have thought "Hmmmm this is weird, every time a placenta is on the left it is a girl, and every time it is on the right it is a boy!" Pretty sure someone would have figured it out. I don't mean to go off on a tangent, but I fell for this the first time I heard of Ramzi, I then read the whole study and founds countless holes in it, spoke to numerous doctors and techs about it and even had a q&a with Ramzi himself. I just don't want people to get super excited or super disappointed by these ramzi guesses.

Symptoms are also totally unreliable for predicting gender. I just don't want you to set yourself up for a big fall. FX for pink.

I'm totally out of subject although I read everything behind...
Did I understood good that if the pacenta is in the left side is a boy and if it's in the right is a girl?

No, it's the opposite. But it's just a hypothesis.

I too emailed him with my 8w4d pic and he said boy while I'm hoping for a girl. I'm very disappointed today. Did you ever confirm?

From the research I have done ( and I've emailed Ramzi too with my own pic) your picture is sagittal (bladder is to the left of your uterus) and you can't determine left or right from a sag image.
