I am now 16 weeks but at 14 weeks had an ultrasound. The tech said that the nub was textbook girl which it was I searched all over the internet sites but I am just nervous because I have four boys already. So I compared to a lot of different nub shots and the ones on the nub study websites. They all look just identical to mine for the girl nub completely parellel with the spine no angle whatsoever. So my question is how accurate is the nub theory at 14 weeks? I read conflicting percentages on different sites. And I just don't want to get my hopes up and then be told boy again. I mean I would love another boy just the same but my husband does not want another boy he had more of a hard time with it then I did last time. So I would really appreciate input and also atomic if you could weigh in I would really appreciate it. Sorry I don't know how to post my actual pic on my phone that is why I did not post it. By the way I thought about an early gender scan at 16 weeks but I am so scared to do it because I liked hearing that she was sure girl but I know that some people have said nub was wrong. So what should I do?! By the way I am due march 11 2015.

It's pretty accurate if the tech knows what she is doing. Go get an ultrasound.

Thanks for the reply! And also if it is a girl I will get an ultrasound asap to confirm nub theory then swaying definitely works. I lost about 10 pounds by cutting most carbs and sugars and I cut out red meat. Was breastfeeding and very very stressed. And had 1 attempt 2 days before ovulation and abstained for 5 to 7 days before attempt. And ate breakfast about 2 hours after getting up and stopped eating cereal 6 months before altogether.

Went to ultrasound and saw the 3 lines and was told 100 percent sure she is a girl! I am so excited. Thank God that He is finally giving me a girl! Thank you for the responses! Good luck to everyone!

Thanks i am very happy and excited. Yet at the same time in shock. After four boys I just kind of expected to hear boy again. But I am so glad I finally heard girl. Now I will have them check at my 20 week scan just to make sure it doesn't change. But I don't see how it could she had her legs wide open and no boy parts anywhere and there were 3 lines. So I think it is a sure thing. At least I hope it is!

Well it has been very busy lately but finally getting a chance to say that at 20 weeks I was told 100% sure still a girl. Saw the 3 lines again and no sign of being a boy whatsoever. I wanted to just let everyone know what I had done to kind of sway things since I never really had time before it is very busy at my house all the time. Anyway I cut out breakfast cereal ate oatmeal but waited a few hours after I got up before I would eat that. I didn't take vitamins was breastfeeding still and it was 2 days before ovulation that we did the deed. Before that we abstained so there was only one attempt. And my husband was also not taking vitamins and eating a lot of junk food. He would take hot showers and wear tight underwear. Also the stress for both him and I was VERY high for us at the time and it was in June when it would have been hot. I also had not been out in then sun really at all mainly was indoors.I had cut out mostly all processed sugar and some calories only drank water. Chewed gum with aspartame in it and I lost more and more weight. I was actually underweight a bit when we got pregnant. And also a lot of prayer. Otherwise that is all I can think of right now I hope this helps someone. Good luck to all of you!!!!!
