Welcome! Have you come over from IG? Several parts of your sway are thought to sway blue or are no longer relevant. Take a look though this site especially for LE (low everything) diet.

Sounds , like you have been blending different swaying theories. I would make these changes:

Things on your avoid list that are fine to have: raw tomatoes, potatoes, salt, bananas, onions, celery, garlic, legumes (beans, peas, lentils) in moderation, and caffeine (probably sways pink if anything, especially high dose/lots of it)

Things on the have list: any water is fine, doesn't need to be bottled let alone evian, pasta should be kept to small servings, cooked tomatoes in moderation & not every day, dairy isn't necessary but low fat or fat free dairy is good in moderation, all veggies are fine to eat just avoid dark/brightly coloured ones if you have a choice I.e. iceberg lettuce over baby spinach in a salad, cauliflower over broccoli, etc but don't stress, all veggies are pink friendly.

But, the total number of calories daily (1200-1800 depending on your weight & activity level) as well as overall amounts of fat and protein daily (20% of cals from fat, 30% from protein) and overall nutrients (minimize vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals) are what really matter, not the exact foods you eat. Eat mostly carbs, avoid fortified foods, eat low protein and especially focus on low fat (saturated fats in particular should be reduced).

Ph doesn't matter much and testing with ph strips is probably a waste of time and can even sway blue. Don't douche and I wouldn't recommend rephresh as it isn't swaying strongly. The LE diet should take care of your CM (reduce most EWCM and turn it creamy instead), but if you have a lot of EWCM or Watery CM you can take an antihistamine before BD.

60+ min of cardio exercise 5-7 days a week is having very good results so you could add that if you want to sway pink even harder! DH can reduce fat, protein, and nutrients and do the cardio along with you, and take licorice root and olive leaf extract, that will all sway pink as well.

Oh really :-( it's complete opposite to have I had/did when I conceived my boys. Feeling a bit down now as I've got everything wrong. I thought caffeine speeded up the swimmers? I'll try & find the LE diet on here. Thank you for you replies...I feel very confused & negative :-(

If you're able to spend a little, Atomic will do up a personalised swaying plan for you which takes all the stress out if it. She's the swaying expert! Lol
Best of luck whatever you decide :)

I would be very interested in this. Do you mind me asking if you had a personalised plan when you conceived your little girl? She looks so cute btw! How do I get in contact with Atomic?

Thanks x

Yes I did and I found it a great help :) If you have a look around the site there is a section for asking questions about the plans, or you could pm Atomic. She is very friendly and helpful and will advise on what's best for you.

Yes, get a plan done, then you don't need to worry. Go to the Membership and Plans section and you'll see all the things on offer. There's loads on here to read if you would rather plan it yourself but Atomic has years of experience filtering through scientific studies.

I'm finding it hard making all the decisions myself when I don't really know much about gender swaying. I'm finding it stressful so I think a plan would be beneficial for me. I'm guessing the $99 is the best to go for? Thanks for the advice.

I purchased the $99 one and I'm so happy with it. I just need to follow it all the planning/hard work has been done.

You certainly can't go wrong with a plan and if you're feeling overwhelmed and don't have much time before you want to begin actively TTC, it is the most surefire route.

Many of the older swaying theories, like taking calcium, and caffeine speeding up sperm (how would YOU drinking caffeine do that, anyway?and why are fast sperm likely to create boys?), were never proven ideas and have since been shown to be nonsense. Here on GD we have a very scientific approach and are constantly improving our sways by removing things that don't work and adding others that do. We don't stick with ideas just bc of tradition.

Thanks kitkat. It's great having this group for support! When I have a nose at baby clothes I always look at the boy & girls so I don't get too fixed on having a girl, as there's a good chance it'll never happen. I can only try though!

Welll...This is one of those threads where I almost don't even know where to begin LOL.

We don't always do things hte way the other sites do and here is a bit about the origins of the site and where we differ. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/7507-ig-vs-gd-swaying-whats-difference-who-atomic-sagebrush-anyway.html

There are NO magic foods and so all that effort you're putting into eating X vs. Y, it's of course up to you if you want to do that, but it's not necessary. THe one thing I want to be very sure of is that you're getting ENOUGH potassium. YOu need 2500-3500 mg potassium daily for your body to function and this is the same on all the sites (just that we are more vocal about it than the others are). You can literally die from not getting enough potassium and there are many people who come here from the other sites thinking mistakenly that they need to eliminate it from their diets totally.

You also need at minimum 700-1000 mg salt for your survival. do not eliminate all salt/sodium from your diet. You can die from doing that. And salt is one thing that is not adding up at all biologically and most of us have dropped it all together. I got my girl with DH and I eating tons of it after my 4th boy wiht a failed sway where I was limiting it.

You can't douche and do RepHresh both. Pick one or the other. YOu can do Sylk with either, it's just that douching and RepHresh don't mix.

I don't think caffeine sways blue and probably sways pink, so if you're losing it without caff I'd readd it in. Coffee seems better than tea.

No, just take one. The reason they are such a low dose is because getting too much potassium is not good for you either and that form is really easy for your body to utilize.

I wouldn't bother with them (altho I did take one of them every day when I was swaying pink because I tend to have low potassium levels) but I'd instead eat more potassium rich foods and drink coconut water.

There is no point in taking standard Potassium supps as atomic said, you get so much more from food/coco water. It's honestly a waste of money.

if you find yourself very low in Potassium (based on blood work and muscle cramping) you can look into sports-electrolyte supplements, some of which have much more potassium. When I run long distance I take these huge salt pills that have about 60% RDA. But I wouldn't take that much unless you know that you need it, as too much potassium can kill you.

I do take potassium supps because I was told to by my cardiologist (I have this stupid heart arrhythmia and the potassium can help settle it down) But I agree it's best to get from foods if you aren't in that boat.

Try a different brand, some of them are HORRIBLE (I have heard it said "the sweat from a monkey's b@lls" and I"m inclined to agree LOL) I like the Taste Nirvana brand but there are other decent tasting ones.

At the top of the page there is a button marked "membership and plans" and that's how you get one. IF you have any questions I will be happy to answer them.

Be sure also that you actually know what you're getting. Potassium is in most foods, but does not legally have to be listed on labels so many foods that appear to have no potassium, actually do have quite a lot. Self. com is a good site to look up potassium info.

How much plain water should we be drinking? Does it matter either way?

XXforhubby
January 30th, 2015, 10:14 AM
Enough to keep from being dehydrated. Everyone, to get plenty of water daily, should drink 1/2 their body weight in ounces of water a day. That is the minimum! If you're BFing or exercising you may need more. For example, I'm 123lbs, I need 62.5 oz of water a day. I'm still BFing and also exercising so I need more. HTH!

Coco Vita brand is tasty. Zio coconut water is awful! Foco is my fave brand but I'm not sure if it's available in the US.

Only to your taste. Don't go overboard with drinking water because you may flush out too much potassium/sodium that way.
