Have been on Vit D for 2 cycles now. Tested very low in routine blood tests so GP has me taking 2 tablets a day (they are 1000IU). I am also taking Folic acid 500mcg.
Hoping to sway for a boy.

That is the "old school" sway diets which have not been successful for us. Vitamin D has been a very strong blue swayer and we are getting best results without it for pink, and excellent results for blue whilst taking it. :)

Cool thanks Atomic!

Just another quick question, so I'm taking calcium supps but my Vit D is low (had it tested), so the calcium wasn't absorbing properly. So what should i do about that if I want TTC girl? I have been taking 1000mg of Vit D a day...

We don't even know that calcium sways pink. In fact some evidence indicates that it doesn't. (this is a three parter, read all three) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-to-conceive-a-girl/610-calcium-conundrum-controversial.html I got my girl with both my husband and I getting the lowest cal intake of our entire lives after getting 4 boys with both of us eating and drinking tons of dairy. My 4th was a failed sway where I was taking massive doses of cal and Vit. D. (was also taking with my 3rd boy, just not quite as massive a dose)

But if you're a believer in calcium (which is fine) you have to ask yourself, if calcium sways, do you even WANT it absorbed into your bones or floating around in there unabsorbed. And no one knows the answer to that question since no one knows how any of this even works. (the whole "ions in cervical mucus" cannot be true because it turns out X and Y sperm DO NOT have different electrical charges, that hypothesis has been totally debunked.) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/swaying-studies-and-scientific-research/1562-what-real-differences-between-x-sperm-y-sperm.html And everyone's cervical mucus has THE SAME ions in it, it is how your body makes cervical mucus.

If you have really low Vit. D levels, you should probably take some Vitamin D for your HEALTH, not your sway. If you've been taking the D for a couple months, I would now reduce to 2 times a week to hopefully maintain that and go from there.
