View Full Version : I want a girl!

Hi everyone, I am so thankful for this site. I have three beautiful boys 6, 4 and 1. Hubs and I really want a girl and really only want one more child.

I have my supplements ready (hoping I have them all?) Calcium Citrate, Magnesium Citrate, Folic Acid, Cranberry, Saw Palmentto and Licorice root (for DH). I normally take a prenatal, Vit C, B12 and Iron. Do I continue with those except the prenatal?

I am vegan and I am not sure if this helps or hurts? I became vegan after my third (he was allergic to dairy) so with all three I was eating dairy and chicken/fish. This is my first pregnancy vegan.

I have the ph strips, my OPK and BBT is coming and other than that I am drowning in all this information.

Anybody has advice or tips for me please, please give it to me :)

Thanks so much

Dyan

Welcome. I'm pretty new too and am veggie which I think sways pink. I see no reason why vegan wouldn't too. Are you on the LE diet? I am and most of my meals are currently vegan aside from skimmed milk in tea. Eating white bread every day is probably the thing I find most difficult to be honest!

I am also gluten free too (good or bad?). All my bread is white, although I don't eat much bread. Almond flour is what I sub flour with. The LE diet seems a bit confusing to me. If I understand it right, its pretty much a reduced calorie diet? Is tofu ok? The only thing I really can't give up is my latte in the morning.

I have been emailing my ob back and forth with my doc and she said this, "If your cycles are 26-28 days you are ovulating day 12-14. So have sex every other day from day 10-16 at minimum. No need to check ph or the BBT. Too much work and doesn't really work. Just OPK is good enough or have a lot of sex!". Not that doc's are going to go for any method, wondering if she is right?

Does anyone know the amount of mg's of the supplements I need to take?

Soooo many questions still. Wondering when I can actually start implementing so we can start ttc. Seems that its going to be about 3 months of the supplements/diet/cycle until I can try. February seems sooo far away. :)

I just realized to get the answers to my questions I need to purchase a subscription? Is that how this site works? Do most people purchase this plan? TIA

All the advice here is freely available you don't have to have a subscription. I don't. However, I did choose to buy a custom sway plan. My reasons for this were that I wanted to be able to relax rather than obsess which is good for girl sways especially for Martha types (me!). I didn't have time for all the research so that took care of it and I wanted to have support from Atomic (also read here wanted to be able to ask blunt questions out of a public forum if necessary). Atomic and many of the other highly informed ladies here give huge amounts of their time helping people here and buying the plan was also partly a thank you. Given that I was able to, I felt I should give back a bit if you know what I mean. That said, this is one of the most supportive communities I have ever come across online and I have never seen any discrimination between 'free' members, subscribers or custom plan purchasers - just honest advice and support. Given that you seem a bit anxious about it all I would recommend getting a custom plan but you can get all the same advice for free if you have the time and energy and can do so without getting stressed and anxious.

As for the latte. I would possibly die without my morning coffee! I have that on LE but save soya lattes until later in the day as part of lunch when I have them. Given their sugar and fat content it seemed to me as if they have too many nutrients so are effectively a breakfast, which we avoid on LE.

Sorry for the essay, but hope it's helpful. Good luck!

Hi and welcome! What a beautiful family!

We don't always do things like the other guys do and before you get started, I would follow the link in my signature below to the Complete Index and read up on Cal/mag and cranbery to see if you even want to include those.

I would have you drop prenatal, Vit. C, switch B12 to once a week, and switch iron to 3x a week. Also add folic acid/folate 1200-1600 mcg per day.

BEing a vegan helps immensely but I do want you to keep up the B12 and iron due to your vegan status.

Would not have you get terribly hung up with pH stuff, it probably doesn't sway anyway http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/11684-ph-pickle.html

And if you really want to temp that's up to you, but if you were doing it for timing it doesn't work anyway and you are best off sticking with one attempt in the fertile window for pink. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/7691-trouble-timing.html The issue with temping is that boy-moms sometimes get carried away and obsessed with swaying and this may sway blue, so it's best to avoid launching into huge projects that really don't gain you anything for your sway (like temping) http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/33517-maternal-dominance-hypothesis-priviledged-daughter-hypothesis.html

All that is absolutely true. This is my full time job that I spend tons of time on, and the money from the subscriptions and sway plans is basically my paycheck. I have spent thousands of hours writing up the essays and answering questions nearly every single day and it is VERY much appreciated when people get a Dream Membership or a sway plan. I try to answer all questions in both paid and free forums, but the $$ really really helps me a lot! :)

I answer all questions, just takes me however long it takes me to get through them. (usually more than a few hours and can take days.) The Custom Sway plan people get their questions answered as quickly as I can.

We are seeing good results with people going gluten free.

LE Diet is here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-conceive-girl/16780-low-everything-diet-nutshell-version.html but you may do better on the alternate atomic fertility diet (since it IS gluten free) that is in this thread, 5 from the top http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/9052-swaying-under-special-circumstances-part-3-pcos.html (this is a PCOS thread, but anyone can use the diet) Coffee in the morning is fine and I drank it. YOu might want to do artificial sweetener or unsweetened.

DO NOT follow your doc's directions, great for getting pregnant, but not for a girl. We are having best results with one attempt in the fertile window, and positive OPK is the easiest time to have that one attempt and best odds of conception as well. So I would have you do one attempt at pos OPK.

The info on the supplements is all in the essays already.

3 cycles of diet is getting best results.
