Hi everyone. Im a newbie and a mum of two lovely boys. Wishing for a little girl to complete my family. Just wondering what is everyone's take/views on the Chinese gender calendar? I was sceptical but both my boys were correct when I went to look for fun and so now I'm scared to TTC on a month that it states boy conception!!! But hate waiting as that means I won't be able to try till February. Anybody else using the calendar with their sway also?

It has been wrong for me so I don't think it's accurate :)

Definitely not accurate. It doesn't make rational sense that some calendar on the internet can predict the gender of your baby. It was wrong with my son and I didn't even check it this time around. Best to focus on the things that work (LE diet, exercise, etc) and ignore things like this.

Out of 5 children it was only right for me once.

Welcome! I personally don't buy the Chinese gender charts. Bearing in mind there's a 50/50 chance it'll be correct so likely just coincidence.

Chinese gender calendar does not work. Over the course of 7 years on gender swaying sites, I have seen poll after poll of every CGC out there and it has always been 50-50. If the Chinese were really privy to some ancient mystical wisdom that allowed them to select the gender of their babies, there would not be orphanages full of unwanted baby girls there. :(

Thanks ladies. I'm normally quite a rational and logical person when it is something like this...but when it comes to the percentage of swaying out of your control (unlike the LE diet that is in our control) I have become slightly uneasy of going against the thought of trying. I came off bc this month and have just got my 1st af so would make sense to TTC from now. Been LE dieting for 3 months so don't want to be on it too long b4 we try.

Base it off the CGC nope not at all. It was right for my last one and it says girl this time so I wish I could say yep that means its right! You will also find differences depending on which site you use for the chart! One may tell you boy the other girl! The only HALF research there is for times of year is that during the winter months when you go into hibernation mode and start eating more, exercising less, and maybe putting on those winter pounds. Totally one of those out there theories still but some people put stock in it because it follows the diet theories. But if your activity level and diet stays right that totally goes out the window!
The reason you will see different responses is because the way its "supposed" to work you have to know if they are converting your age to Lunar! If you are 30 you shouldn't be looking for 30 on the chart it would be "wrong" This one I KNOW does the lunar conversion see if you get the same result or different. Of course all just for fun http://www.chinesegenderchart.info/

Atomic: would it be good swaying for pink even though I'm on my first period (started today) after coming off bc? Or do you mean it's only supposed to be good before the first af?
Thanks Nahri, hope it's right for you anyway and sways pink ;) I will look just for fun tho x

I used to believe in this cause everyone I knew and did chinese calendar, was receiving positive results. For me included.
I also asked a chinese friend(to ask her grandma to calculate for me-when should I concieve) in the past.
Now, I find it more logical the LE DIET, exercises and everything else after being on this site.
Chinese calendar will not help you at all. You train your body(by doing a good sway) to favorite a particular gender to get first and develop.
Thats all.
I personally dont really believe in moon phase/ions/lavender either. I'm sure on same day(same moon phase) or different shampoo used, both boys or girls are concieved.
This is like my doctor asked me, when I told him I'm not eating meat anymore cause this might bring me my girl.
He said :
So everyone who dosent eat meat have girls?
Same is in this situation 😊

Yes, I believe it sways pink for a couple months coming off it. It's best to catch the first egg if you can but it stays in the system longer than that.

Please read this whole thread, the Chinese Gender Calendar is a total scam, doesn't work at all and you should pay it absolutely no mind.
