Well, I started spotting at 8dpo and then by 10dpo I had red blood. I'm now at day 11 and cycle day 1. My cycle was only 23 days - I have never had a cycle this short, ever. It is so strange. I don't know what is going on. I have always had a 28 day textbook cycle. I kind of wonder if my extreme diet combined with mega-nursing 2 yr old somehow had an effect on my cycle.

So I'm onto another cycle! I am planning to make some changes to increase my pregnancy chances. I plan to:

-lose a few more lbs but not obsess on food as I will be away on holidays. I will probably up my intake from last month a bit due to nursing.
-rephresh only, spaced from my attempts (no more lime and replens), no nonstop ph testing. I will trust the rephresh!
-continue supps (cranberry, calcium)
-mega CL the week of O again
-cut off before O. Last month I stopped at 2 days before o, I might push it this month, we will see.
-no jump and dump this time, lay and wait for at least a few minutes.
-less focus on abstinence/frequent bd.

I would appreciate any advice/thoughts you may have! Good luck to you all! Hopefully August is the month for all of us.

edited to correct cycle length

I'd take vit b6 or perhaps peppermint tea a few times a day to try and regulate your hormones (and hopefully your cycle too)?

Sounds good to me, good luck!

You can try the B6 but I do want you to know that a short LP now and then while nursing is not at all unusual or abnormal. Vitex is another possibility.

Personally before dropping too much (although I would LOVE you to drop lime and obsessing over pH!!!) I would give it another month and see if it normalizes. I hate to see you drop abstinence/frequent and jump and dump unless you're sure you really need to.

I did a lot of research yesterday and decided to start vitex. Looking back at my cycles, they have been regular length but always spotting for quite a few days before AF. I am also in the midst of night weaning so maybe that will help too. I will add the B6 next cycle. I just don't want to add two things in one month.

I concieved my second son on the second bd in one day and with jump and dump so that is why I'm not convinced they will work for me. DH has some additional medical challenges so we will just see how it goes this month without pressure/stress as we will be away on holidays.

Thank you for all of your answers and all of the hard work you put into this site!

Understood! Just know that those things do sway pink, even though they don't work 100% of the time - sometimes you just get unlucky and your DH had a high sperm count that day and/or your body was very fertile and helped a lot of sperm to survive.

Sometimes people think, "well I should do the opposite" but that's kinda like saying, "I didn't lose weight when I tried to cut calories, so I've decided I should eat a lot of calories to lose weight because clearly my body operates differently than everyone else on the planet."
