Or just some favorite "girl friendly" storebought brands????

I'm soooo sick of balsamic vinegar on my daily salads and really need to branch out. I made some dressing today that tastes rather good (but I'm sure I'll be sick of it very soon!). I took balsamic, a bit of goat cheese, a bit of greek non-fat yogurt and put it in my "Magic Bullet" type thing. It turned out to be 2 g of protein, 2 g of fat, under 100 cals and pretty much no sodium.

I know I'm not supposed to be obsessing about this stuff and should just go read a book or something but I'm so bored w/my food that I can't help it. Can anyone share your favorite ways to make your meals yummy???

Thanks!!!

One thing I did before the girl diet to try and get my family away from the store junk... We make a Greek Yogurt base for everything.

For Prime Rib - Yogurt w/horseradish and fresh dill
For salad - 1 tbsp of yogurt with 1tbsp of seasame seeds (check your seeds for sodium levels mine are very low)
Yogurt can also be used in place of sour cream, great dip for fruits and veggies, and mixed with sugar/honey free garnola. It is fast and easy to mix in herbs and spices just before serving, so you don't have to mix one large batch and then get tired of the flavor.

Greek yogurt has a higher calorie amount but if you are only using a little everyday it want affect you... greek yogurt is the only dairy I really love. I am off dairy for now but praying I can go back to it soon.

Alfredo Sauce - Only use a little 1/8-1/4cp as a treat.

1 stick of butter - saltfree
8oz of Cream Cheese - not whipped and saltfree if you can find it
Put everything in pan at same time and cook on verylow heat until melted. If heat is to high it will seperate. Once it is melted and warm enough to serve add a few tbsps of parm cheese (or level it out).
Normally I add garlic and onion powder but you can just add black pepper and it still taste good.

Great on broc and noodles!

Olive oil or corn oil, apple cider vinigar or any vinigar, low salt whole grain mustard and shake it up its really nice. However I have had it for months and am sick of it!

My friend mixed cran juice with tahini to make salad dressing and both she and her husband kinda liked it!

Lemon is also ok on the Low-Everythign diet so you could switch up the balsamic for lemon sometimes.

There is also the possibility of eating something like asparagus rather than the iceberg lettuce salad now and then as a change of pace. Rather than salad, you could do a sauteed zucchini, marinated mushrooms, or a cucumber-yogurt salad.

I like a teeny bit of feta cheese sprinkled on top - 10g goes a long way to spicing up a pile of lettuce leaves!

Cran w/tahini, huh....sounds a bit crazy but I'm willing to try anything at this point! I need to try lemon as well...

Mmmmm, Zanacal, I LOVE Feta! I know I can find fat-free Feta so I'll give that a try. If I use a tiny bit, I'll make my sodium count work.

Thx, guys!!! I think after I'm preg, I'll work on some girl sway recipes & post the good ones...

That would be great! I actually have a big file of stuff and am working on a cookbook but my husband's new schedule is KILLING me. He never leaves! o.O
