My husband & I were going to give up caffeine for our girl sway. We're more tea drinkers than coffee, but we do enjoy coffee once or twice a week. I've been reading coffee sways girl? So should my husband and I swap our tea for coffee...? He also has two sugars in his tea could this sway boy?
Thanks always for your comments!

THe idea that caffeine sways blue has been totally debunked. The claims made by the French Gender Diet people regarding caffeine are biologically impossible.
Coffee, just from our experience, does seem to be "pinker" than tea. So all things being equal if you need some caff, I think coffee is a better bet.
It NEVER comes down to one thing and certainly not sugar in tea.

We have 2 girls & my husband & I drink 3-4 cups a day. I *think* it sways pink because I know for me, personally, when I drink coffee, I eat less. It curbs my hunger a lot. Eating less obviously sways girl so that's my theory.

I'd definitely go with coffee over tea. I was a tea drinker only (no coffee at all) and have two boys. I gave up all tea (except peppermint) for my girl sway and added a daily cappuccino with a double shot of espresso instead. Good luck!

I agree with midwest. Coffee helps with not feeling hungry and not snacking for me too.

:agree: good point and that was actually one of the first things I noticed when I was starting to research swaying - there were SO many pink mamas that I both knew personally and who reported on IG that they drank tons of coffee. I was like, this just can't be true because there are all these boy moms who barely have any caff and all these pink moms who have TONS.
(please keep in mind that the old-school sway approach is the light switch where if you have caffeine, it totally ruins your pink sway)
I just kept asking, if it's really true that one cup of coffee ruins your sway, then where are all these caff-addict girl moms coming from. Didn't add up.

What about instant coffee versus a latte etc from a coffee shop? I know plenty of all girl mums who have 3+ lattes per day & they are super skinny & cardio addicts.

I don't know if my sway worked but I would often have a sugary latte for a late breakfast (around 10 am or 11 am) or for my 3rd meal (in lieu of food). Always order nonfat/skim! If you look at the nutrition stats for the non fat no whip drinks at Starbucks (mocha, pumpkin latte, etc) they are loaded with carbs with not much fat/nutrition. Just be careful because the nonfat milk still has some nutrients so personally I wouldn't have more than one latte per day.

These types of small details are almost certainly meaningless and obsessing to this level of detail is not good for a pink sway.
IF anything, instant black coffee is ~probably~ etter than lattes because would have less nutrients, but I as well know several Starbucks mamas with all girls - now I believe they treated lattes AS their meals and did not have a latte and a muffin and a bagel, but just a latte for breakfast and lunch

agree with bluebonnet - would personally not have more than one latte per day unless you are using them AS a meal. And if you were to do this, please be very careful you are getting enough nutrients from other sources to fit in LE Diet range

Certainly wasn't obsessing over it, Just read the thread & thought I would ask the question as a latte would be a cup of milk too

Thank you! That was more what I was asking as I've been having anywhere from 2-5 cups on instant a day. I'm sure havinb that many lattes wouldn't be great for my sway but I do know many girl mums who are coffee addicts. Maybe they use as meal replacement as atomic suggested.

Ok, not saying you were or wahtever, just don't want you or anyone else to veer off into worrying about things to the smallest level of detail. On some of the other sites there are people who start asking is Brand X better than Brand Y, etc etc and I just don't want you guys to go there because I do think it can mess up an otherwise successful sway to start worrying over every little thing. :)

Agree with Atomic. I am a starbucks coffee addict girl mom & I have never tried black coffee. Hate it. I usually always asked for skim milk & at home I use a sugary non-dairy creamer, so basically it's "empty" calories.
Just now, I am sitting here & had my 3rd cup of coffee before lunch & I barely touched my food because coffee esp with creamer, is very filling.
