View Full Version : Spotting in Early Pregnancy

I just got a BFP this morning on a digital pregnancy test. I am cautiously optimistic, and here's why- I started having light pink CM three days ago at 9 dpo. It was that way for a day and a half. Yesterday it was pinkish red and only when wiping, and went away. After working out yesterday evening, it came back. It is only enough for a panty liner and it is still happening. The color is still pinkish red. I am 12dpo today.

I have never heard of implantation bleeding lasting this long. I am hoping it is not a chemical, I will call my OB in the morning, and keep testing. Has this happened to anyone else and it worked out ok?

Thanks

Congrats :). With my DS 3 I started spotting right after I got a faint positive. Lasted about a week - just light and pinkish red like you describe.

Thank you ladies! I am starting to see it can happen. I just have never experienced this before. I will not exercise again until the spotting stops. I am going to call my OB and test again tomorrow. The spotting is still very light- it is only a light pinkish red or orangish in color and a smear when I wipe.

I sure hope this little bean sticks!

It happened to me too. I got my BFP on 9DPO and on 10DPO started spotting until it turned into a light bleeding, it lasted about a whole day and it scared the hell out of me but my little girl is now 4 months old, so don't worry too much, some last longer but it's all normal. A healthy and uneventful 9 months for you!

I never used to have spotting before. Ever. Everyone else I spoke to used to having spotting on the lead up to AF but I didn't even have that, so yes, I was totally freaked out especially since I'd had two miscarriages very recently. Stick, little bean, stick!

Oh yay, congrats! Pinkish spotting could very well be IB. Since it's not heavy or brown, I think everything is probably fine. Fx for you.

Totally normal and very common. IT's not implantation spotting, it's that your cervix gets really soft and can bleed a little bit (so somehing like working out can trigger spotting)

Well I got the results of my Beta HcG and it was negative. I am now waiting to hear back from the RE to see if there is more blood work to do, in addition to the FSH and Prolactin. Not sure what to call day 3, since I have only been spotting. Today AF should have come and may still. I don't have any pre AF symptoms though. insurance won't pay for P or E until we have been trying for a year, or if medically necessary. Hopefully getting a positive hpt then negative beta along with the spotting this cycle in absence of AF is enough. Also last cycle was only 17 days preceded by 6 days of spotting. The cycle before that was short and light- only 3 days.

Any advice? I have been doing LE diet PCOS style, exercise, fiber, folic acid 1200-1600mcg, BD every 4 days or at pos. opk. DH is only taking OLE. I am 35 and DH is 36.

Thanks a bunch!

Just wanted to update that I purchased a custom sway plan, and we can answer my questions there 😉.

Also, I am no longer pregnant- I had a chemical begin this morning. Moving on to cycle #5!

I'll get right to work on your plan - I want you to keep going with what you're doing as it is very much what I would have recommended anyway.
