Hi ladies!
I know we have a 2WW thread but I think it is nice to have someplace to chat the whole cycle long, and I know we have had these threads in the past so I thought I would start one.
I'm currently just waiting for AF to show and then on to cycle #2. I know I shouldn't be disappointed but as we conceived both boys our first try I have to admit I totally expected to get a BFP this cycle. Silly but I couldn't help it. I've been doing diet and exercise for months so I was really looking forward to the idea of finally eating normally and just not thinking about swaying. But I guess I just have to stay focused on the "prize" and get back into the swing of things.
How is everyone else doing? Do you have plans for how to handle the holidays? I think I will be doing a lot of one meal one small snack days. It isn't optimal but we have some Christmas parties and dinners and I refuse to skip them or only nibble on salad so I'll spend the day leading up to it drinking lots of water and eating only a salad to stay close to or within LE totals. I might skip the Christmas cycle altogether although if I just drink like a fish and don't eat much that must have a negative affect on my fertility ;) :D

Hi Junie!! I am with you on these holidays...I want to just EAT YUMMY food...and not worry about it. But I know I will be policing myself :/ I miscarried at the beginning of Sept, and haven't been sticking as religiously to the LE diet. I have not gone completely crazy, but there were a few days where I ate a few too many cookies :D I am not sure whether to attempt now or wait until the new year.

It's hard because I really want to get pregnant after waiting so long for my DH to agree. But I have to TTC one extra month to have higher chances for a girl then I am willing to wait.

I am not sure if I will get a chance to attempt in November, but I will join in wishful thinking:)
Missed miscarriage bleeding started Wednesday the 12th. I here cycles are usually pretty wacky at first:( So I guess I consider the 12th cd1??
I have been back on veggie and LE for a few weeks since I found out my pregnancy wasn't looking viable. I have not been super strict and have had a few cheat days already. I just plan to stay veggie and watch my portion size when it comes to holiday meals and leave it at that. I am wishing I had picked back up cardio sooner but I plan to motivate myself to start in a day or so.
Good Luck Junie and txmom!! This is my favorite time of the year so hopefully that will bring me good luck!

I too love the holidays! I have been on the diet so long, 7 months, that I am not too worried about a few cheats/cheat meals here and there. The extra calories may help me 😉. I usually compensate for a few extra calories by upping the intensity of the cardio with very light weights for extra calorie burn. I have to do that anyway to burn calories given my metabolism. Walking/running alone doesn't cut it for me. We will keep on attempting until we get a sticky bean...hopefully pink!

I hope we all have a great time this holiday season and not worry ourselves to death about ttcing. Maybe that will help us all get our baby bundles we desire!
After all, all work without any play is no fun! Let us have fun and not worry about calories, totals (too much anyway 😉), how much exercise, fiber (it may not always be practical- think mother-in-law's house for holiday dinner), and not to mention if to add another attempt at pos. opk if it comes day 3 instead of on day 4.
This is my holiday wish for all of us! And may we FINALLY get our sticky, BFP's!! 😘🎄❤️

Awh XXforhubby those are some great things to keep in mind. I mean so many moms of girls do not obsess like us and sneak in some treats now again so I know it is silly to worry about the one bite of sausage I took from the boys. I'm so impressed that you've stuck with the diet 7 months. How long did you TTC for the boys?
QueenB3blue: I'm sorry about your miscarriage:( But hopefully this is your Christmas girl and lucky cycle!

Hi I'm in the same boat waiting for af. I know there is always a chance I could get a BFP but I'm not feeling it. I just want to start again so to speak. Also I would maybe be happier knowing this wasn't the same as my boys conceiving in the 1st month! (We sound like conception twins junie lol)
I am really struggling not to snack. I never knew how much I snacked until now! I just thought I ate 3 meals in my head ha ha! Obviously not :/
I've not got loads of weight to loose so need to be careful I don't go under and not ovulate. I'm hoping to be pregnant at least no later than March if not then I will start to panic probably. I want to conceive at a different time of the year to my boys ideally so this baby has it's own month of not sharing birthdays with others. Very difficult to try I know.
Christmas is such a fab family time I hope it takes my mind off TTC and be less of a mental/controlling blue minded woman lol!

Junie- both boys were OHWs! I got pregnant right off of the bat with them! I was loosely on the diet 3 months before our first attempt. I can gauge things without needing to use MFP anymore 😛

Crazy how many of us got our boys right away! I also realized that I used to snack SO MUCH LOL. A little marshmallow here, some chips there, a bite or two of pudding, some cold cuts, etc. That has definitely been a hard change. I try to keep myself busy and not buy any of that food. It isn't so easy to snack when I have to spend 20 minutes making the food :)

I just thought of a nice thing about not getting a BFP this cycle. The Christmas markets start here very soon and now I can totally indulge in spiced wine, hot cocoa with rum, and all the other yummy Christmas drinks. I'll make them one of my meals ;)

Hey girls can I join in, I'm 2 weeks off ttc and very nervous! Been doing Le as much as can, exercising 6-7 days a week taking supplements and following my sway plan as well as can! Hoping lots that it all works quickly as I'm bit fed up with all the exercise and diet at mo! Glad to have people to talk to! X

Hi Keep the Faith! I also hope you get lucky right away, the diet and exercise can definitely be draining. I should O sometime between the 4th and the 9th this cycle which means I can expect AF right at Christmas :( But it also means I won't stress too much about the diet right at Christmas at least.

Sure Keepthefaith, just don't over think things and try to stay relaxed! Remember 1 attempt in fertile window or at pos opk! Try to be good on the diet in the 2ww and don't test too early. It might break your heart if you get a chemical. I wish I wouldn't have, then I would have thought AF was messing with me!
GL! I am so excited for you!!!!

Right got it, don't test early, don't test early, don't test early lol. I will stick to the diet till I get BFP if I even get one, so used to it anyway shouldn't be too difficult. Should I be doing to exercise too?

I haven't been around much because I could feel myself become sway obsessed. Things have changed around here and we have had a few tests and lots of appointments. I did not ovulate last cycle at all, but according to my smiley face digital and dark second line Wondfo OPK, I ovulated yesterday. Repeat ultrasounds showed the 7cm cyst on my right ovary had shrunk some and I had two 3cm and a 6mm (CD12) on my left and a 4-5cm and 3cm on my right. I went to see my RE for some input and he was very concerned about the large cyst. I also asked about my husband's SA from two years ago because I remembered being concerned about the results but the RE I was seeing at the time said it was fine, because we were planning IVF. He looked them up and told us that DH has severe teratospermia. He has less than 2% normal sperm. We have 2 sons conceived without IVF so who knows. He said our best bet is IVF with ICSI and although we can't front $16k for IVF, we are seriously considering financing it next month if we don't get pregnant this cycle. Ugh. So I'm 1DPO and have all my crossables crossed. I've been on the LE diet for... 3ish months I believe. The RE did tell me to take Calcium and Vitamin D to improve egg quality so I've added that. Hoping there's been lots of BFP's since I last checked!!!

Now, I really hope some sperm has survived since Saturday...normally it would be exactlly 72 hours...

I was going to abstain 7 days before dtd with one attempt.
Well.... I just tested and got a positive OPK.. Way earlier than I expected!
We had sex Monday night - 4 days ago (prior to that it had been 2 weeks) , should we baby dance tonight or tomorrow to help our girl sway??
Help!!! Should I add other things to help sway? (Hot bath, drink wine before etc) I'm worried my sway will be off bc I didn't get to 7 days of abstaining!
Atomic - Any advice appreciated!
Thank you!

Maybe not a positive opk? The line is lighter than the control line.

November 28th, 2014, 05:30 PM
If you BD 4 days ago, I would BD again tonight. Having an attempt at positive opk is still good for pink. You want one attempt in your fertile window, which will be the case for you. GL! Also, Atomic says not to stress in moments like these! She told me, and many others, if you don't know what to do, then flip a coin! Really! It is much better for T levels than to stress about something that does not have as huge an impact like diet and exercise, unless you are talking about gobs of BD in fertile window!
Hope you catch the egg!!

Thank you  Yes, we ladies are all too blessed to stress!
Btw, do you think that's a positive opk? Might retest later since I don't know much about these tests. Are they are like pregnancy tests where the one will get darker the higher the levels?
The box says if the line is lighter than control, it's a neg.
Junie
November 28th, 2014, 05:42 PM
I wouldn't consider that a positive. Try to test around lunchtime everyday for best results. I would bd every 4 days or again at a positive OPK.

I would attorney tonight. If you are at CD8, then you should get your positive opk in the next 3-4 days. I would have an attempt now and attempt again in four days. Remember, you ovulate 12-48 hours after the FIRST positive opk. It looks like your opk is not quite positive yet.

GL Keepthefaith! I too have had faint positives for 3 days now. I usually get a positive between CD12-15, which means I have 3-4 days before my first positive. We are going to attempt tonight and again either in 3 days, 4 days, or at first positive opk, which ever comes first. We have been ttcing now for 5 months and 6 cycles, so our situation is a bit different.
GL! I hope you get a BFP soon!

Curlypie-- your opk is not positive yet. I'd start testing twice a day-- afternoon and before bed so if you get a positive before bed you can dtd. I'd wait to dtd when you get an actual +opk which could be any day now. Good luck!

I called my OB yesterday because I had an increase in pain in my ovaries where I have the cysts which was unusual and I had a blinding headache. He called in an HCG quant and it was "negative" but it was 1.0 I was only 7DPO and I know that 1 is within the margin of error for the lab but I can't help but feel a little hopeful. Perhaps it was just super early? (I didn't expect it to show even if I was pregnant, so who knows)
