Since I posted in here or any of the main forum. I was swaying, dh wasn't. Then he decided he wanted to wait to ttc. After a friend recently announced she's having a girl after just 1 boy, and it hit me so much harder than I expected ( I cried for nearly a full week) dh and I had a bit of a 'discussion' about it. Like how it simply isn't possible that he can only make boys, and no his cousin could not only make girls no matter what he said about having a test or the fact he had all of 2 daughters!
So last night he said to me "after all the Christmas food and drink is done, what's this diet we have to do? What about the exercise?" And he is willing to give it a go in January.
I'm so excited that he is on board and feel that although I still don't want a 'kitchen sink' sway, I do have more dedication and chance of sticking to it all because he is more on board. Last time when I was trying to avoid snacking he'd be trying to get me to snack with him and stuff.
So my plan is

January- condoms so I get at least a month of swaying in before ttc.
Less/no meat, low cal, lower fat where possible. 2-3 meals a day with no snacks.
60 minutes cardio 6/7 days a week.
February- start ttc. I don't know when I O my cycle is a little off still, I'm thinking dtd every 4 days as hubby's age rules out abstain and when we were trying for the others I never got pregnant when we were dtd every day which could be coincidence but who knows. In fact, all 4 boys were conceived after not having dtd for at least a week anyway although I know my diet what typical boy diet then lol
Anyway I'm rambling. I'm just thrilled that he is going to be giving me full support on this and even dieting a little himself.

I think that sounds great! It makes swaying easier when hubby is on board and supportive! My hubby is the one that desperately wants a DD, and he was willing to do ANYTHING! After seeing how much weight I've lost doing the LE diet, he is doing that too! He can't exercise because of work and going to school for his doctorate, but he wears boxer briefs or Whitey tighties!

Your sway sounds great, and I am sure Atomic will chime in! If you can, I would get a plan. Even though I planned my sway well, Atomic has added things that I didn't even think about, plus she will be your coach! It is nice that I get an answer ASAP if I have a question instead of waiting awhile on the boards.

GL and FX you will get a BFP soon and a baby girl 😊!

Thanks for your reply. It's so weird because when we started out I wanted boys but assumed we'd get a mix. Hubby wanted a daughter. Waiting to go in to our scan with ds4 he told me he was scared in case it was another boy. After that he talked briefly about not having anymore, there was no point because he obviously couldn't make girls. It's easier to not have another than go through the disappointment again.
I know I can be unfair on him at times. He appears to cope much better than I do and I said to him that it's ok for him because he has boys and gets to do the boy things, but I know really he wanted a girl and it was his desire for a girl that even started me hoping for one.

Best of luck with your future sway motherofboys I hope you and your DH get your longed for little girl :fx:

I understand your husband feeling it easier not to have another rather than face the disappointment but hey you know what if you don't try you will never know :)

Good Luck !!

Thanks, I'd rather have another boy, with a sway to say I tried than always wonder 'what if'. We planned on a bigger family anyway, but never dreamed they would all be one gender.
