That's the problem. . . Long story as short as possible. . .
I had to get a corticosteroid shot on cycle day 5 (the last day of my period) just before mid November. Well on day 13 of my cycle I started heavy spotting(mostly brown) every day for the next 16 days. I spoke with my OB and we agreed it's because of the shot. Basically I stopped spotting, for good it seems, yesterday. I tested randomly a few days ago and it was a definite negative. I have no idea where I am at in my cycle. I'm guessing everything is pretty screwed up and I'm not sure I even have a uterus lining to hold a fertilized egg at this point.
I'll test over next couple of days though. I want to figure out where I may be in my cycle. I'd like to get back to ttc asap!

Oh how frustrating! I once tried to take the pill continuously so I wouldn't get AF and I just bled lightly for 2 weeks straight until I stopped taking it. Some of us respond poorly to synthetic hormones. Since you just stopped spotting, I wouldn't expect you to O for another couple weeks, though anything is possible. That OPK is dark but definitely negative, and even in normal cycles it's common to get dark OPKs just after AF/1-2 weeks before O. I'd keep testing but don't be surprised if you see your OPKs fade out before darkening again later when you get a true positive.

i say neg for now but hopefully soon.
You can have attempt before test gets truly positive, that's ok.

You can actually be building lining even as old lining is still shedding, I know it's hard to believe but it grows from inside out so it can be growing anew while the old stuff is sloughing.
