I've been using Jiffy extra crunchy. If anyone says that's bad, I will probably have a hysterical meltdown.

:) Just kidding, but oh, I love it so.

ETA: If I had a magic genie at my disposal right now, I would wish for Nutella to be the number one component of the boy diet. *drools*

Mmmmm. I love me some nut butters. Went crazy for the Justin's Maple Almond, if you haven't had it, find it. For peanut I LOVE fresh ground, my girls like the skippy natural (we do chunky and smooth) and that's tasty stuff too when you just need a nice spoonful.

Daisy, c'mon now, if you had a magic genie don't waste it on nutella, just ask for the boy and be done with it! Think big! That said ... Nutella and PB on a ritz cracker?!?! Magic.

I have eaten some of the natural stuff, because it has no added sugar. But I love Jif the most, and I would RATHER eat that... but I feel guilty. So I have been using Adams.

Oh yeah....duh! LOL. Clearly swaying has fried my brain. I guess I have just got Nutella on my brain with af coming! The big display of it at the grocery store while I was buying V8 fusion and salty snacks didn't help...

Um, I may be wrong here, but since this site is a proponent of high-everything, and Nutella IS made from nuts, and has fat in it, I am going to be the one to go out on a limb and say IT DOES SWAY BLUE! Maybe in small doses, that it....and with pb on a cracker.....WHAAAAAAT, B???? That sounds ahhhhmazing.

On the nut butters, personally, I like almond butter the best, and I do fresh ground from the health stores but I think any peanut butter as long as it has peanuts, oil and salt as ingredients is good. (Sorry if that bursts anyone's Jiffy bubbles.)

so youre saying the commercial ones are fine skippy, jif, etc? no need to go sugarless? and expensive health food stuff?

We eat the Peter Pan type. Also have dark chocolate -almond spread for toast.
But I don't liek PB much so mostly the kids eat it.:p

Well, if you can, it is better to go for the kind with no preservatives and chemicals in it, kwim?

Giz, I think there are lots, the ones that say "natural"....just look at the ingredients and pick one that only contains peanuts, salt, and oil. But honestly, I am not one of those that thinks its a huge deal....if you like one kind over another, go with it!

No, not at all. Prevention Magazine studied peanut butter and found that the amounts of sugars/trans fats in even the most highly processed peanut butters was only marginally different than the unprocessed ones.

Of course if you have the option, unprocessed is best but some people just flat HATE unprocessed PB. Processed is good enough!!!

PS - even if you think you hate unprocessed PB, I hope you try the Justin brand nut butters because they are really nummy.

Yes, those are fine and dandy!!!! The protein + carbs in the peanut butter is what counts, a little sugar here and there will not hurt you at all as long as you ahve some protein alongside it.

Nutella is totally ok in my book!!! There's a small amount of calcium but you can totally fit it into your boy diet!!!
