Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has a guess on my scan pics, the technician made me feel stupid when I asked her about the nub theory and if she was familiar with it, so I didn't ask for a clear shot. I cant make anything out..
Thankyou in advance

It's technically too early (12w is the threshold), unless perhaps you measured further along? But it does look boyish, though the images aren't too clear and the nub isn't that obvious...what did the tech say to make you feel stupid? Most likely she was ignorant and too insecure to admit she didn't know what you were talking about or was too stupid herself to find the nub! I really dislike people that who make others feel badly bc of their own issues, and I'm sorry you had to deal with such a person, especially during an occasion that should have been much more pleasant. Maybe you can complain to her superior and get a free/cheaper rescan, ideally at exactly 13w which is when nub theory is most accurate?

Thankyou ladies, going by my original date given I should be 11w6d which didn't match up with my dates, but the tech said im now measuring 12+3. She said the theory was a load of rubbish and from a professional point of view had no credibility. We gave up trying for our girl as after 2.5years it took its toll on us and our doc refered us to IVF which we chose not to do, so after 6mths off the LE diet we fell naturally by accident, so I guess if it is our third boy it was ment to be lol..

load of rubbish... Yeah because an angled nub or stack/split is meaningless. I think she needs to go back to anatomy class. Not a clear enough guess it looks like part of a nub but not enough to be sure.

My neonatologist gives gender guesses based on nubs. From what another friend that went to him said, I guess he only says anything if he's sure (and he's super experienced). That tech probably didn't want to admit she didn't know what it was or want good at guessing. I don't have a guess though. Hugs! Hope you get your DG!
