Thanks everyone! I am so grateful for you all. The genetic counselor was trying to talk me out of NIPT if I was going to do amnio anyway. But, I continued to ask about the NIPT. She said that I could possibly get denied coverage of the amnio if I have a negative NIPT. So I asked about out of pocket prices. She said that the counsyl test, which is their typical test was something like $795. So I said that I thought there was a $200 test. So she pulled out another form and lo and behold harmony is $195. So I went ahead with harmony out of pocket. Thank you so much for your advice. And my NT scan looked good. It was so cool to see him squirming around. I'm calling it a him because I am assuming that it must be a he.

$195! That is a great price. Does that take into account your insurance? I don't have insurance (and I live in Canada) and the lowest price I could find was through the MaterniT21 company- $425.
Please share the details! If I can get the same test for less that would would be great!

That's great news Keshet!
2 boys, I am in Canada also, and my panorama was $795, and my friend had the harmony which was about the same. I have read conflicting things about the materniT21, like it had more inaccurate results? Maybe it is just because it has been around longer therefore having a longer time more people to have wrong results. Plus I know you can't always believe what you read on the internet, as most of this info was from message boards.
My Dr. Said panorama was superior, and that's why I chose it. Trust me, it's not like I can afford an extra $795, had to take a vacation payment with my mortgage company to afford it, but I felt it was the best and totally worth it :)
Good luck with whatever you decide!

I can't afford anything really! I will stick with the MaternitiT company I think. They offer screening for 3 trisomies and gender for $425. I have read a ton of info about which is best and it's hard to imagine that one lab has superior results as compared to another when they are all competing in the same market and for the same goal- screening for genetic disabilities. I would never say that bc my screening came back negative I will be having a disability free baby. The test are not designed to diagnose. If I got a positive result I would consider further testing. Anyway I am getting the test for gender determination (mostly) and that is supposedly a very simple lab test. When you get into the trisomies I think there is room for more error.
I will be testing on March 30. [emoji15]

The Panorama is the best but the other tests are only slightly inferior. All of them are highly accurate, especially vs older tests.

Anyone else getting braxton hicks already?? I have been noticing them for about 2 weeks now. No clue you could get them this early but i looked it up and they in fact generally start around 8 weeks..most women just dont notice them. Crazy! My nausea is loads better...i still get moments though especially after eating too much.
Its been a while since my scan and im getting nervous again about the baby. Wish i had a doppler! I also just found out my clinic is closing so i had to find a new doctor...how annoying!
How is everyone else doing?? It is still so slow on this thread!!

Rosie, if you have an iPhone, try downloading the free app called "baby's beat". You can actually hear the HB or at least see the numbers displayed through the microphone of an iphone.
I have been getting the contractions too. Really scary. But normal, I think. I think that only if they get really painful or regular is it a problem.

I do not have an iphone. Does that really work this early though?? Seems too soon!
The braxton hicks dont worry me other than they will probably be painful when i get further along. Haha.

I had my first ultrasound yesterday, I was pretty underwhelmed:(. I am almost more nervous now than I was before. The image was mostly a yolk sack with I itsay bitsy fetal pole and a tiny flicker of a heartbeat. I an 6w today by my calendar, baby was measuring a little behind. The sonographer said her computer doesn't date under 6w, so I didn't even get a measurement from them. Which is bogus, because with the baby I lost I had a scan at 7w, same sonographer, same room, same computer, and was told that baby was measuring 5w4d.....
Hb was 112, they like to see it above 120, so I go back in a week for a rescan.
Only reassurance I have is how sick I feel. My prayers are huge, that this baby sticks!!!

I finally called to get my first appointment scheduled today. April 2 I go in for an ultrasound. I will be 13+ weeks. They couldn't get me in to see my midwife until a week later:-/ the receptionist didn't seem to pleased that I waited so long to call......

I stopped with the unisom and b6. So it is just clearing up on its own...hopefully it doesnt mean anything bad.
Tarasue now that i think of it i think 112 is a good heartbeat especially if it just started...they didnt date you so that part is unknown for them to say they expect it to be 120. The heart starts slower then speeds up. Next weeks visit will hopefully bring a high heart rate!

Don't worry in a week or so snacking will be an absolute must!!! Mentally, I still feel guilty eating breakfast or snacking, but physically I will be sick if I don't at this point. Only thing is now, nothing sounds good and I don't feel hungry because of the nausea, but if I go ahead and eat something, I feel much better.
I'm so glad I'm having such good nausea, gives me a since of relief.
I'm so glad your joining us xx!! You've had a long road to get here, now just enjoy the ride if you can. My husband keeps reminding me that this is it! I will never be 6 weeks pregnant again, I need to enjoy it because this chapter oft life is going to be over by the end of the year.

I am still in shock! I keep taking my temp in the morning- I will until I get my beta BW back on 4/1. I have to keep up exercise, now moderate, to ward off GD. I had late onset GD with DS2. I think it was because of not losing the last 10lbs from DS1 and gaining the same 25lbs. It was controlled by diet, luckily, and he was fine when he was born.
Now that I am 35, I don't want any silly, unnecessary interventions, so I am already doing the GD diet and exercise. Plus, I am 5lbs lighter than when I conceived DS1 and 12lbs lighter than when I conceived DS2.
Aaaaaaaaah! I can't believe this is real!!!!!

I did with DS2 and it was BAD! I found using a good body oil, followed by a cream morning and night helped a ton! Sometimes I would more cream on during the day.
I am on the search for something new this time. I am interested in Earth Mama Angel Baby stretch mark oil and cream. I may try those. I LOVE the nipple butter and diaper balm by them.

The thing I notice the most (other than the nausea) is my boobs hurt like crazy! And they seem like they are huge!! I have probably put on 5/7 lbs. Which stinks but I don't think that has anything to do with the size of my boobs!! I still am under my smallest pre-pregnancy weight.

I have to keep up with the exercise to ward off GD. I want to deliver with the midwives at my hospital, but if I get GD since I am 35, I'll have to switch to one of the OBs. So here I am getting ready to work out while I am not puking yet [emoji4]!

Is it normal for period like cramping to stop before 12 weeks? I don't remember with my others when it stopped other than my last pregnancy which failed and the no cramping i thought was a bad sign. I havent had any for a week now and i am getting nervous. I hate this! !

Can you just get one US and the Panorama test? That is my plan if I ever get pregnant again. I am not confident that ultrasounds are 100% safe so I want to limit them as much as possible. I wouldn't have one at all except to rule out an EP and/or twins bc of my history.

I would have loved to done a panorama or harmony. But I am 33 and I know insurance wouldn't have paid jack for it. DH said no way. We can go to a private ultrasound place for $65 and get a gender scan guaranteed at 14 weeks. Obviously they can get it wrong, but it is my only option really:-/ if they can't tell gender for sure they have you keep coming back for free.

I had a nausea spell at 8 dpo this time. That's what made me take a test. I just knew I was pg then!! It didnt kick in full time until about a week later. It is the earliest I have had it! With ds1 I was 5+ weeks. With ds3 I was almost 8 weeks. And ds3 around 7 wks.
I hate having nausea at night when I am trying to sleep. After a few nights of no sleep I will take a unisom/b6 before bed and it really does help. I don't even get sick in the morning after I take it. I do second guess taking it sometimes because of my loss probably. But lots of ladies on here have taken it:)

People can be carriers where you have subclinical symptoms, but other people get the full blown illness. Me and my boys are carriers- we have learned that our mild sore throats with a low grade fever causes other people to get strep! My poor husband gets it every time! I just got the call from the genetic counselor with my results from the Harmony test. I screened low risk for downs and the trisomies. I was expecting the worst given my age. I can't believe it's all good so far. I'm so relieved. So, she also had the gender information, but I told her that I couldn't hear it. The GD thing is so hard. I keep second guessing myself as to why I didn't do HT with PGD at least one more time. Everything was pointing in the direction that it wouldn't work for me. After 2 PGD failures and 4 other medicated cycles just to try to get pregnant that didn't work. I just have to believe that this this was the only way for me. Except for that little doubt. I just have to believe that I didn't have a choice and that this was something that I tried my hardest at but could not control.

I'm not sure if I will be able to wait the whole pregnancy. So I may cave before then. But I think that I need to work through the fact that I am actually pregnant at my age. I didn't think that it would happen and for a long time it was a fantasy that was out of reach. In reality, I feel old and am worried about how we will manage. I'm terrified. So the first thing that I need to come to terms with is whether or not it's healthy. I will also do an amnio and will only feel much better when that and the big ultrasound is complete. Then, I need to work on my fears of how can I muster the strength to be a good parent when I am scared. Later, I will deal with the GD. I have to assume it's another boy and I need to be 100% thrilled when he gets here. But, I have 6 months to work on that.

Sorry Rosie:( and the name:(
My moms side has mostly boys also. My grandparents (moms parents) have 9 great grandsons and only 1 granddaughter. The girl came after 7 boys, and that cousin just found out she is having another girl.
My mother has 5 grandsons, 3 being mine. I would love to give her a granddaughter. If not I know my younger brother will. But they live across the country so she will hardly get to see his kids if/when he has them.
Sorry again Rosie:(

Thanks ladies...i feel so awful for being upset. If ahe would have been given another name i would be in a much better place but i feel like my hopes and dreams were just crushed. ..like if i can't use that name then it cant be a girl. My mother would love a grand daughter too and i feel awful i couldn't give that to her .
Trimester wise i thought it was 13 weeks...however my ticker says 2nd trimester At 12 weeks. Weird.

No the name is very uncommon and we are first cousins and see each other a lot and i hate having my kids have the same names as others. I went upstairs and cried into my pile of girl clothes that were all meant for her by that name. Guess i should give them to their little girl.

Xx-I hadn't even missed my period before I was getting waves of nausea. Weeks 4 & 5 I would feel icky in the mornings, better from 10-2, then the headache and nausea would return. At 6w it's constant nausea.... I am happy to have symptoms, but I hate feeling so nauseous all the time.
Rosie- I'm so sorry your name was taken out from under you. I've been having that fear as well. My sister is due 10 weeks before I am. She isn't sharing her names, but as soon as I told them I was pregnant again I made the names I like known. , hopefully to avoid that scenario.
I am debating doing the 10 week blood test. Part of me is dying to know that everything is ok and if we have a boy or a girl. The other part of me is scared that something is wrong and I will hear "it's a boy!" For the third time....

My skin is definitely extra oily and my hair looks awful if I don't blow dry it. Usually I can let it air dry and looks fine.
Last night I started having mild period like cramps. I am 12+1, I am a little paranoid now. I haven't had this cramping since early on. I read that the uterus starts to move up around this time, so I am hoping that's all it is. Anyone else feeling this around 12 wks or remember it from previous pregnancies.

Queen i had a bit of cramping a few days ago but it could have been from being sick. I am sure it is nothing to worry about unless you have spotting as well.
I barely feel pregnant at all. No nausea and no sore breasts anymore. Hopefully everything is okay and its just the 2nd trimester honeymoon starting. I am still horribly sick though...i cant walk up the stairs without needing to sit for 5 minutes afterward. My house is a disaster! I cant wait to be all better.

Here's the little nugget that's making me feel so icky!! Measuring right on 7w, exactly what my guess was considering I'm sure I felt implantation. Heart beat of 142.
This was an abdominal scan, I don't know how ramzi works, although I remember according to ds2 position he should have been a girl. I have a gut feeling it's another little boy, which a healthy, whole baby is my main goal!
I have been feeling better the past few days, probably the biggest reason I'm guessing a boy again. If I was still feeling like I did Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, I may guess it a girl.

I have spent the last week fighting a very brutal sinus cold and yesterday I was blessed with another cold, so it seems! I am so run down and just totally worn out- to top it off this is week 10. The week I miscarried last pregnancy and I am so stressed about everything, including the NIPT that will be done next week. I really just need a bit of a break- I have been working like crazy trying to pay off some debt and with DH working 13 hours a day I am it! Mom, chauffeur, full time nurse, and a lousy wife who is so tired and burnout we haven't had sex in a LONG time. Like almost a month. I am just so blah-nausea and fatigue plus what seems like a chronic cold aren't exactly preludes to an orgasm.
Anyway! That is my rant- I hope none of you feel as awful and out as this.

Welcome Claire! So exciting to think you could have a little girl after 3 boys:). I have 3 boys also, hoping to give them a little sister!
2boys- sorry you are feeling so awful:( wishing your nipt comes and goes quickly. Then you can hear that baby is healthy and you get used to whichever gender you hear. Praying for a healthy baby girl for you dear;)
I am counting down the days until my first scan this Thursday. I don't know what I will do if something is wrong again:( I feel pretty pregnant though, my lower back is doing the weird cracking and popping I usually get right before my spd kicks in. My pubic bone even started to hurt yesterday.
I was doing pretty good about coming to terms with this baby being a 4th son. But then dreamt I gave birth to a baby girl and woke up aching for her. I know dreams can mean nothing, but I hear a lot that you have the opposite of what you dream about.
I feel like come Thursday I will have some idea which gender this little one is. I will be 13+1. At that point I think if it is a boy I will be able to tell. But if I don't see anything that is obvious boy then I might have a chance to hear girl.
We will see.....

Hello all!
My NT scan went really well! I don't know whether you remember my story or not, but I have two older girls, and my third, a boy, had a very serious and complex heart defect that unfortunately led to his passing at 6 weeks old. This is our rainbow baby, and it's been less than a year since my boy was born. The scan showed four functioning heart chambers, which my boy didn't have, and no signs of Downs or anything like that.
The only downside for me is that the tech made an early gender guess, and based on what she was seeing and the "nub theory," this baby is pretty clearly yet another girl. I know that it's still early (12+3), and that I had to be prepared for another girl, but the disappointment has set in. I'm trying to get over my disappointment with the welcome news of a happy, healthy baby. My husband is just annoyed with me for being upset; he's thrilled with another girl, although he would have welcomed a boy too. Thanks for your understanding!

QueenB, I'm so sorry for the rude comment by your FIL! If I had a dollar for every rude and not-thought-through comment I've received over the years, I would be a rich woman! People just don't realise! And now that I told my family that it's most likely a girl, I was annoyed at how delighted they were. I guess you never win!
Rosie and QueenB, 13+1 and 13+3/5 are not too late for nubs and also not too early for a potty shot if you have a willing tech! I got a potty shot and a nub shot at 13+0. So week 13 is good, even though many people say it's too early to see gender and too early for potty shot. My tech said that it is not! But I guess you need to know what you are looking for. Your run of the mill tech/gyn might not know the difference between the genders at week 13, but some will be able to tell you!

Baby didn't cooperate! We tried for 45 minutes and didn't get a single profile shot. So i can't have the screening. I did jumping jacks and ran in place and drank cold water...we even did a vaginal scan and nothing worked! She did see the fluid under the neck quickly and it looked real nice and thin...hopefully that means all is good. The only pics i got are face forward. Zero nub was seen. So disappointed!

My CB digital said 3+ weeks yesterday, when I took it in the morning. My wondfo was as dark as the control line. 13 days ago when I first tested, my CB digital said 1-2 weeks and the wondfo had a clear line.
I'm sure you can't tell anything by these tests and it could just be my normal progression.
I had a negative test on 2/5 then got AF in 2/6. Then I had a normal AF on 2/26...

Xx my beta at 5 weeks was over 20,000 also and nobody got too excited about it, including my midwife. The normal range is so broad that you really can't base much value on the level being high and the rate of twins.
Having said that it is absolutely possible! Do you have a history of twins pregnancies or maternal family history?

Annoying thing that was said to me this weekend, "we should let Alicia hold her, that way she knows what it's like to hold a baby girl".
Grrrrrrrrrrr! This was said to me by my father in law about my niece this weekend. I know he didn't mean to be rude. People just don't think before they talk half the time! I responded with, "I am pretty sure it feels just like holding a baby boy". I bet he knew he hit a nerve of mine after I responded.
I don't even want to tell those people I am pregnant again, let alone what gender I am carrying!!!

Hi all. Due october 9th and thought id pop my head in here.. Posted my very early nt scan to get peoples opinions in the gender predictor thread.. I have two daughters from previous relationship and ive always dreamed of a son but this is my first and probably only baby with my husband so i will happily take whatever i get.. I had to use clomid to even have this baby so im blessed to be sitting at the 13 week mark that i am.
Hope all of you are feeling well and having a good week.. I still have some nausea unfortunately... New for me with this pregnancy.. With my girls i was puking all the time from early on until 11-12 weeks.. This baby has other ideas tho as ive been super nauseated since 6 weeks with no relief..

Thank you so much ladies for your support! Wednesday night I began to have Braxton hicks contractions, and I just thought I was experiencing growing pains like I did with DS2, around 8:00pm. I noticed a silver dollar sized red spot on my panty liner when I went to the bathroom at 8:30pm. It continued throughout the night but never increased in amount nor did I have any AF like cramps. It was gone by late morning on Thursday. I called my OB and they ordered a repeat beta HCG for today. Thursday night I noticed bright red again, only when I wiped. Never more than that and no cramping at all. By this morning it had turned to brown and only when I check, nothing on my liner and nothing when I wipe. Again, no cramping, no heavy bleeding, and no clots. My bbt went back up this morning to 99.59 after a solid night's sleep, yay (I'm one of the weird ones whose temp is lower when I get sleep)! My beta HCG taken today, 2 days later is: 32,682!
I didn't want to post anything until I had more information to go on. I'm sorry to worry all of you, but I needed your prayers and support! Thank you! I must be carrying a girl with all this unnecessary drama! DH better lookout!

XXforhubby, Here you go :)
It was so early..they were booked ultrasound tech wise so i had to get my NT scan done at 11 weeks 4 days... I was hoping and praying baby would be an over achiever for gestational age but i got more than i bargained for because the nub looked so boyish to me that i just couldnt believe thats possible at only 11.5 weeks along....

April 3rd, 2015, 09:07 PM
Also hard to believe what i saw now because the only frozen in time moments are the pictures where baby has butt in the air and legs up...spine so bent that any tilt in the nub makes me think its just baby and its position...the fact its so 'short' and thick at the end is the only thing keeping me going as far as thinking maybe i do have a son on the way...I nailed my O date (we should say O weekend) and had abstained from intercourse for 5 days prior so i feel i at least had a good shot at a boy.

See thats what i was worried about too. Its just so boyish for 11.5 weeks that i came up with all sorts of scenarios to convince myself it couldnt be a nub.. But in my craziness i have to remember seeing that between both legs as she measured baby and would zoom in and out showing legs and arms and then just body... Legs seemed to be straighter out than that.. Like baby was pushing butt up in the air by pressing legs against uterus straight out like a stretch almost. My mom has been right on gender before we knew with both girls and she says she was there too and saw a penis not a nub on this baby and has no doubt i just have an over achiever for a son LOL. She says im in denial..

Well, I'm still feeling bad and I'm almost 16 weeks, but it's slowly getting better. This pregnancy has been hell so far and the entire family is falling apart at the seams. My DH has almost been like a single dad, as I've hardly been able to do anything other than going to work and collapsing afterwards. On my days off I've just been in bed or on the couch, feeling so sick, not being able to do housework or anything. I'm so glad it's slowly getting better now. So anyone experiencing nausea and exhaustion, you have my undivided sympathy!

Thanks QueenB! Unisom is an antihistamine that is also used for traveling sickness, so it stops nausea. The problem with this is that is knocks me out so completely, so then I am not able to do anything apart from sleep! I have not tried B6, but I do take a multi B-vitamine. Luckily the worst is over, but it was hell :(

I ate a medium rare steak last night...bad idea. Even though it tasted amazing going down, it was pretty traumatizing puking it back up...bloodier coming up than going down and that seemed to open a 'dam wall' of sorts because then i puked again this morning..but i hadnt eaten yet so just stomach acid and no blood which tells me that it was definitely the steak i saw coming up last night. Yuck.
I know its an old wives tale but did anyone have a pregnancy with a boy where they were sick a majority of the pregnancy or sick the whole time even? Whats throwing me off is i know every pregnancy is different but even though morning sickness is more prevelant in girl pregnancies per the old wives tale, i was done being sick by this time with both my previous girls and pregnancies...continuing to grasp at straws that the continued sickness means boy...

I am so overjoyed! They saw a small, sub chorionic bleed that has resolved and is not an issue. I'm glad to have that mild spotting explained and know everything is ok!
Whew, I can relax and let myself feel I am PREGNANT!!!!
SN- I ovulated from the left ovary- we saw a giant corpus luteum! I ovulated on the right side with both of my boys. Interesting?!
I'm just glad I'm really pregnant!!

I am pretty sure the NIPT results are in. My midwife called, she left a msg with DH to call her and the lab verified that they were done. I couldn't call her back- I am just too scared to know. I realize now that I just do not want another boy- a third kid is a crazy enough concept and the thought of a third boy literally brings me to my knees. I am so angry at DH for talking me into trying again after the loss- I knew I couldn't handle this. I told him we had to do HT but he somehow convinced me to try one time and lone behold! One attempt and here I am! I am just sick to my stomach.

2boys-- Have hubby call and put it on speaker, sit on the comfiest piece of furniture you have and take a deep breath before the results. A 3rd son may be hard to accept, trust me im struggling knowing i may be having a 3rd daughter...and knowing nothing about you i may just be guessing here...it would probably be better to know its a boy as soon as you can so you can adjust and find a way to accept and be happy. Even if happiness seems impossible if it is indeed a 3rd son, some small part of you has to know you will find a way to love and bond with that baby no matter what.
I wish you lots of luck and love and hope you hear GIRL..:bighug:

Oh 2boys, I've so been in your shoes! The week where I was waiting for my blood test result was absolute hell, but I just didn't want to know, even though I knew that I had to find out some time. It's like ripping a band aid off, when is the right time, when are you ready? I just didn't want to hear the bad news. And when I finally talked to the dr. on the phone I thought I was going to throw up. The same happened when I had my 13 week scan, I was a nervous wreck and just wanted to throw up for a whole day before the scan. I was so afraid the early blood test had been wrong.
All I can do is give you a hug! :bighug:

Thanks for your support! I am trying to just enjoy my morning at work before I I get the news. I want to be happy and right now ignorance is total bliss! I think that these early gender results are really so controversial. Maybe the surprise at birth would be an easier blow? I don't know what to do. I may just hold off on finding out the gender a few days. I have to work the rest of the week and I don't know how I will keep myself together if I hear boy. [emoji22]
I don't think I slept a wink last night so my emotions are pretty out of control, I even cried on my way to work listening to Ed Sheeran sing about loving his girl til she is seventy. Such a mess!

Aww 2 boys. Big hugs to you. It is impossible to know when the right time to find out is. One thing is for sure and that is that the sex is set in stone and i think knowing that makes it so difficult to find out early...it wont change even if you want it to so badly. Waiting just prolongs the dream so both ends have their downfalls. When you feel ready is the best time. Just remember no matter the sex...this is your baby...your pride and joy just waiting to cuddled and loved when born and nothing can take the joy out of love in its purest form.

O man 2boys:( I wish I had magic words to make you feel better. Being pregnant is emotional enough! Plus, you have been through a lot the last couple months! I pray that you can find peace in whatever the gender your having.
I would probably not be able to wait. I would just rip it off like a bandaid. It is the anticipation that is the worst!!
Afm- had a midwife appointment today. Got to hear the heartbeat:) 161. But I am bummed because my midwife is pregnant due in late August so won't be able to deliver my baby:( I love her, I hope whoever she refers me to is just as awesome!
They set my due date for October 2. Which is great because I thought they would use the 8th or 9th. I have big babies, every little day makes a difference to me;)

I was also super annoyed at DH for persuading me to try one more time naturally before going HT. The result was DS3, so it took me a long time to get over our failed natural attempt. I mean I'm in my late 30's and my fertility won't last forever, so by the time we would do HT after DS3 I would be 38, instead of 35 which is what I wanted - big difference in the world of IVF.
2boys, all I can recommend is that you find out at a time of day that you are alone/with DH, but not have children running around needing attention etc. And not at work! So that narrows it down to certain times of the day and week I guess. You need time to cry in peace if it's a boy, without any distractions or being somewhere where you can't cry. GL deciding when to find out.

Queen i am happy your due date is earlier for you! I am expected to be due the 2nd as well since my baby is measuring for that day consistently! What a bummer your midwife wont be around. .i hope she hands you over to someone amazing!
I see my new doctor in a couple weeks myself...my clinic closed this week. Will be weird switching. Dh also just applied for a new job and if he gets it..i will be switching docs again!! Yikes.

QueenB, sorry about your midwife. I hope you get another one that you like! How big were you other babies, just curious? :)
Ds1 was 9 lbs 5oz 4 days late
Ds2 was 8 lbs 15 oz 10 days early
Ds3 was 10lbs 5oz 7 days early.
The hospital I deliver at now doesn't believe in inducing labor until 41 weeks:) but my first son had shoulder dystocia. I pushed with him for 3 hrs and then he had to be pulled out. Because of this they will induce me at 39 weeks. BUT no less.

Sorry to hear that Queen! The midwife who delivered DS1 has retired [emoji20]. She was amazing! I love the others at her practice. I hope to have an appointment with the new gal to get to know her, in case I end up having her to deliver this baby.
I'm sure she will refer you to someone who will be great!

Hi. I'm a mom of 3 boys and would so love to have one girl in the mix. When did you try ivf or pgd? And who, if you don't mind me asking did you end up going to for it? I live in IL and was hoping for a dr near home'ish.
Thank you!

Mamaof3boys, you should probably go to the HT section. Here is the non-dream member forum so you can get some basic information about HT:
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/high-tech-family-balancing-non-member-forum/
If you become a Dream member you will get access to all the HT forums. Most people post their personal stories there. GL persuing HT! I was going to do HT in Europe, which is where I live, but ended up pregnant by accident instead.

Well...my midwife text me and said the test came back negative for trisomies, which is great news! I didn't ask about gender- she is going to email me the results tomorrow so I can open the email at the best time of day for me, Which will be after I put the kids to bed and my DH leaves for night shift. It's hubby's bday tomorrow and I so want to give him a daughter as a gift[emoji4]. Please oh please let it be.

QueenB, my babies have all been the same size as your first, the last two being born 10 days before my due date. So I'm sure they'd be the size of your last one if they had been born to term or later. It's good that your hospital will induce at 39 weeks and not 41 weeks! Shoulder dystocia is no joke, very risky! I'm very curious to see if this baby (if indeed a girl) will be as big as her brothers, or maybe for once I will have a baby of average size :D

That is funny because my midwife mentioned maybe this being a 6 lbs baby girl, giving me a break. I said, "6 lbs!, no way! I wouldn't even know what to do with a baby that small! 8 lbs would be nice;)"
So I am going to complain about my DH for a minute:-/ he works from home today. I get up at 6:15 to get my boys ready for school. I set my alarm for 6:15. I am not a snooze person(no offense to anyone that is). His alarm goes off 20 minutes before mine today. He hit snooze over and over!!! Not getting up until 30 minutes after me!! I don't mine him sleeping in, but his alarm wakes me from a dead sleep waking 20 minutes before I have to!! He does this all the time! And yes, I have mentioned before how it drives me crazy. Grrrrrrr, I love sleep:(
Sorry just venting....
Hope everyone is feeling well:-)
