Ack!! Where you at 2boys! My fingers are starting to hurt over here. Lol.
No weight gain yet but it will come. I have two least favorite parts of pregnancy...the weight gain and when all my hair falls out after. So terrible!!

And then after all my hair falls out, it looks like I have sideburns when it is growing back in!!!!

My ds1 brought home a book from the school library yesterday. It was called...my baby sister. I will feel soo gutted if he doesnt get one. He keeps talking about his sister. Anyone have any advice? I keep telling him it could be a boy but he tells me no..its a girl and talks endlessly about sisters.

I am always horrible at continuing my prenatal after birth and while breastfeeding. I heard maybe that would help:-/ maybe atomic has some magical advice!
I have no advice on your boys wanting a baby sister:( I am in the same boat though. It is the main reason why I am keeping quiet until I know the gender(5 more day). I didn't want them getting their hopes up. If for some reason my news got out sooner I planned to say it was a boy. It is so hard for them to understand:(
Over the summer my ds2 says out of no where,"I think we should name that baby girl in your tummy Briawna." I asked him what made him think I had a baby girl in my tummy? He replies,"what? You only have baby boys in your tummy???"
He is the sweetest:). He has asked the most for a baby sister.

Rosie--Kids can be very intuitive..my oldest was very certain she was having a little sister...and she did...no matter how much i thought it was a boy lol....maybe your DS2 knows something you dont :)

I am in a similar boat but not exactly the same...my ex and father of my first two daughters just had his second baby with his wife..they had a girl together first and this time they got a boy...for some reason that doesnt bother me like i thought it would..him having a son before me (he always put alot of pressure on me to have a boy with each of my pregnancies and i 'failed') My 9 year old DD wants me to give her a little brother so bad, and now i have to sit her down tonight and tell her she has a half brother that she knows she will never get to see except certain holidays and never know that well just like with her half sister. She was and is gutted about her half sister and she will be about this one too...she wants mine to be a boy so bad...even though the gender didnt ruin my day like i thought it would, having to tell my daughter who is going to be heartbroken is pretty much ruining my day...

No i dont know the gender of mine yet. i wont know until the 25th. My first two daughters are from a previous relationship. their bio dad remarried and had another daughter and now the other day he had a boy..and my 9 year old DD wants a brother so bad. However he does not let the 'new kids' have much interaction with my 2 DD's. So she has a new half brother, but she isnt going to get to see him much...she is gutted. she is worried about me having another girl because then she is out of luck to have a brother she will actually 'know'..

Oh man Burkoam! I Remember that with my last pregnancy but I also had mega volume and shine on my head so I dealt with it ok!
I am sick with a throat/cold infection AGAIN! Ladies I am almost concerned about the constant viral infections I have had since about mid February. This isn't normal for me, and in the past if I did get a cold it lasted a couple days only- not a week or more! I am trying to eat super healthy and have upped my multivitamin to three times a week (I was only taking it twice a week due to constipation) but I am wondering what else I can do?!? I am going to speak with my midwife tomorrow.
[emoji178]
Burakoam
April 12th, 2015, 11:15 AM
2boys-- is your multivitamin high in vitamin c? Try vitamin c gum. Also drinking anything you are comfortable with that has vitamin c in it. I have to take colace so i can take my vitamin 7 days a week.. Only have to take it every other day though or every 3 days to have a movement..
Burakoam
April 12th, 2015, 11:17 AM
I would also want to ask if you have moved or gotten any new pets because allergies can cause frequent colds too... Or rather they always do for me and my family.. (We cant have a cat.. :(. )

April 12th, 2015, 04:01 PM
2boys i have been sick constantly this pregnancy. I still have a sinus thing going on and sore throat for over 2 weeks now. It is one thing after the other when with my other 3 pregnancies i was never ever sick. The multivitamin has done nothing to keep my healthy or my high dose of vit d. I decided it is because this baby just doesn't like me! Haha

It really does help, the unisom/b6 combo! I started taking them in the evenings last Wednesday, and have felt much better. Almost to the point I was worried something was going wrong with the pregnancy again. I was skeptical of it with out my doctors ok, at my appt last week she gave me the ok. I'm tempted to not take it one evening and see if that is really why the nausea isn't as bad. I still have that pressure right at my diaphragm, but the nausea is better. Still no appetite though.

The unisom was amazing. I went from bit being able to function to being able to sit up and eat a couple crackers and take care of my kids. I hate taking any meds during pregnancy but i was so desperate!

14 weeks 3 days... im pretty proud of this bump. I just wish i would feel this stinker move...i felt my other two really early on...quickening at 12-13 weeks with both of them..this one i THINK i have felt a few times but its not like the knocks i remember with my girls. and it is only when im half asleep and switch sides fast that i feel a flutter like someone is protesting me laying on them lol...last time i felt that was around 12 weeks though so its been a while with nothing...babys heart rate is solid so im not worried about anything being wrong but its just nice to have a reminder that doesnt involve a doppler on my stomach, you know..
Rosie85
April 13th, 2015, 04:00 PM
I too have barely felt this bub move. I do know my placenta is anterior but she said it was up higher and should be able to feel low kicks. Hoping they become consistent soon.
Love your bump burakoam!! We should all post pics!
Claire33
April 13th, 2015, 04:41 PM
I also have an anterior placenta and hardly feel anything. During my previous 2 pregnancies I felt so much movement all the time, from 12 weeks. But now I'm 17 weeks and feel much less movement, sometimes absolutely nothing for a whole day. I keep getting scared there is something wrong with the baby, even though I know it's due to the placenta. I wish I didn't have this anterior placenta, it just gives me something more to worry about!
Burakoam
April 13th, 2015, 05:14 PM
I dont know where my placenta is they havent mentioned it and silly me i didnt ask. But the fact i dont feel baby would suggest anterior i suppose... So thats probably it
Burakoam
April 14th, 2015, 09:42 AM

Right can you all please remind me how accurate harmony gender results are as I'm suddenly panicking that they are wrong! Can't believe I'm having a girl and terrified of going to 20 week scan and getting massive shock!!
Claire33
April 15th, 2015, 06:52 AM
keepthefaith, I don't know if I'm the right person to ask because I had a blood test done for gender and was searching the internet for wrong blood tests, Harmony and Materniti21, and they sometimes turn out wrong. Which freaked me out completely. But my husband said, quite rightly, that the wrong ones are the ones that post on the internet, the right ones (99.9% of the time) aren't the ones going on the internet with their right results. If you know what I mean. The results should be 99.9999 % correct, I wouldn't worry (easy for me to say!). I had a blood test done really early (7 weeks) and the 13 week scan confirmed girl. I do believe it now, but I will only fully believe it until I have my 20 week scan.
I believe that your test is completely right, even though I'm totally with you about the worrying thing!

I feel the same! I cannot wait for the 20 week scan to prove I am just neurotic! [emoji12]
I think that the results are pretty accurate- with the almighty 0.5% chance they are wrong. I had my test done at over 10 weeks which reassures me that fetal circulation was stable and strong, adding value to the quality of the test. Not sure if that makes much of a difference!
Anyways try relax! Lol. I know how you feel.

Thanks Rosie! Im hoping it could be our little girl but im confinced its a boy again.
We didnt really sway either and DH didnt want to miss any attempt after coming back from afghanistan since i had an etopic before he left.
This baby is however made with only 1 attempt and frequent release the days before but more than that we didnt do.. Well who knows im as lucky as claire [emoji4]

My fingers are crossed you hear girl! Your unsway sounds good to me!! I did way too many attempts haha. Ramzi says girl for me and that is all i have to hope on which is practically nothing.

Ramzi says girl for me too Rosie but as you say i dont trust it. Intelligender and baking soda also said girl but again how many stories have i not read about having the opposite sex anyway. So 10 more days and then i will know 100% sure

Big congrats to everyone who is getting their happy news lately! Good stuff all around!
You are all getting girls, and I think I probably am too, although I seem to be the only one who was hoping for a boy! I did what I thought was a pretty decent boy sway, but I do have some things working against me: my husband is a heavy exerciser, I was only seven months postpartum, and I had just taken two rounds of heavy antibiotics for a UTI and a sinus infection. The 12-week, very girly nub was a real wet blanket too. I'm trying not to be down, especially when I overall feel really good this pregnancy! I would have thought it was a boy because it's been more like my boy pregnancy than my two girls. Three more weeks for me until I know for sure!

I'm anemic as well. I have been taking supplements for a week, and don't think I've had a BM for as long. I didn't realize that was a side effect.... I have also had really bad dizzy spells, sometimes it goes black, I haven't passed out but my heart rate races. I hate taking them because they just add to the morning sickness. Hope the supplements help in the good ways, not the bad ways[emoji16]!

srg09cag11, Burakoam is also hoping for boy, so you're not the only one!
Angelique, even though I might have had luck now with a girl with no sway, I've had 3 boys before a girl. :) So even if you have a boy now, you'll be more like me than if you have a girl now :D ;)

Burakoam- so glad you got things figured out! Hopefully adding the iron makes you feel tons better:)
Beautiful baby Angel! Hope it's your girl!!
Mars- hope you get a good nub shot! Good Luck!
With my last pregnancy I had a couple scary dizzy spells. It was the worst. The one time I actually called DH home from work. And I never do that. It was first thing in the morning and I remember thinking I had no idea how I made it down the steps!! Not sure what it was other than prego craziness.
Can't wait to tell my boys they are getting a baby sister!! I can't even believe I just typed that! We are waiting until Friday to tell them. There is no way they could keep it quiet and we won't make it around to tell all the family until the weekend comes:)

Rosie i was also dehydrated today when they got to me. ran two bags of fluid through me right away. and they did say that dehydration adds to the shortness of breath etc..you have been pretty sick this pregnancy? maybe you are a little on the dehydrated side? do you often feel really super thirsty or cotton mouthy?
Rosie85

All these things you are talking about i also had up til sbout two weeks ago. Nausea, massive heartburn, heartbeat racind like crazy, feeling like your having a panic attack. I felt so mich nausea that i could not take any of my pregnancy vitamins or supplements.. Have also just started them now (week 12)
The most weird for me was my cola. I normally drink one to two glasses a day. And now i could hop over some days and i took some, half a glass was already too much.
So weird how pregnancy changes your body. With my DS i had no funny things at all, no sickness no nausea it was great...

I know what you mean. I cant stand the taste of mountain dew anymore if i have a soda its cherry pepsi cherry coke or cherry dr pepper. I loved egg whites, and now they make me feel ill when i eat them however egg yolks are okay..there are tons of things i loved in general or love with my other two pregnancies that are just so undesirable to me right now. Mcdonalds breakfast is okay to me, but their lunch makes me gag at the thought. I feel like a different person lol

I had zero.food issues this time around. Not even smells bothered me. Just no appetite at all until a few days ago. With my 3 boys i could barely eat anything and every smell made me want to puke...meat was a major no no.
For me this pregnancy is nothing like my others except for i still had severe nausea. My leg hair is growing soo slow compared to the inch it would grow a day with my boys and the hair on my head...its falling out. No acne this time and i am itchy and cold where as i have never itched and was always hot with my others.

I think im coming to terms with the Fact i may be an all girl mom and be okay with it if thats the route things go. I know so many ladies especially on here who would have loved to have nothing but girls and i am considered lucky to even have the two ive had. I agree they sure are special little girls and a third one wouldnt be so bad. I will mourn for my son if this is not him growing in my belly but i dont think its going to affect how i feel about this baby at all.. My husband doesnt care either way, its me that wants to give him the gift of a son in a house currently full of women lol

Well ladies my boys had absolutely no reaction at all to the box full of balloons and letter:-/ the video is completely underwhelming and we didn't even use it to tell people. But it has been fun telling people and the boys seemed to be more and more excited. I think the problem was the box. DH wanted it sat out in the morning to build their anticipation. Well ds3 spent all day thinking there was a puppy in the box and ds1 and ds2 thought it was full of new stuffed animals and toys!

Awww, sorry it didn't turn out the way that you wanted! It was a really cute idea, but kids are so unpredictable. My girls would have been the same way -- they would have spent all day thinking about what toys they thought were in the box and would have been super disappointed that there wasn't something more. Probably would have wanted the baby itself!
We are happy for you, even if your kids aren't, Queen! :)
How is the second trimester treating the rest of you?? I sometimes forget that I'm pregnant, except for the growing bump and continued exhaustion. I'm a teacher, so I'm counting down the days until the end of the school year!

Ds1 ended up having lots of fun telling family he was getting a baby sister. We hadn't even told anyone we were excepting. So it was a double surprise:) my mom and DH mom had a feeling that maybe there was a pregnancy. But my mother never dreamed that it would be a girl. There is no way I would have had a gender reveal party. It is just not my thing. Not that I don't think they are a fun idea. I just get super anxiety when there is a chance I could be the center of attention. I just get really awkward and uncomfortable.
Can't wait until the end of the week when Angel and Burakaom have their gender scans! Best wishes!!

Im in so much trouble this pregnancy. my go to cure for nausea is cherry flavored sodas and donuts..i literally cant stop because i feel less guilty eating crap to cure the nausea than i do taking a pill like zofran to make it go away. I had gestational diabetes in my last pregnancy and doc said its like a 60% chance to get it again...I need to stop but absolutely nothing has tasted right or sounded good this whole pregnancy so far...i just keep waiting for the sickness to disappear for good like it did with my girls and instead im still waking up rushing to a toilet.
Rosie85

Sorry you ladies are still so sick. Donuts and cherry cola sound amazing. Have you tried the unisom instead of zofran?? It is safer at least and not full of sugar. Soon you will know who is making you so sick so that is something to look forward to!

Nub aside this was baby at 6 weeks and some days.. Transvaginal ultrasound..Tech said you can see the chord where the placenta would be.. Have another shot where the yolk sac is also seen right next to where that chord is shown here so seems accurate... Meeeeep.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way Angelique, but if you were as "lucky" as me, your current baby would actually be a boy, your next baby would also be a boy, you would be crying your eyes out after hearing boy for the 3rd time. If you were as "lucky" as me, you would have had to live with gender disappointment for 8 years before getting a girl.:bigsmile:

Claire i am also aware of being lucky. I only went through GD for 3 years, but always felt i had a chance more since we wanted 2 kids. The stress however this pregnancy gave me was horrible since i did not do the diet or the excersicing. But after my etopic and my DH being shipped out for 3 months he did not want to wait anymore. So i ment like you i wasnt swaying but got lucky anyways.
I am also very glad i havent had more years of GD than i had.. I know how it is and how it feels. Hope you understand i ment it the positive way :-)

Hi gals. I am finally in a DD forum and it feels good! I am 12 weeks and due 1st week in Nov. Nice to see some familiar ladies and meet new ones too.
This is our 3rd and final baby. I have 2 boys and an hoping for a girl. I've already had bouts of GD and totally feel like this is a boy. We have a name picked out and that helps me feel more connected to this baby. (I did not have names for my 1st 2 boys till we left the hospital! )
Anyway I posted this in a couple other forums so I'll give the short version. Had my 12 wk scan yesterday and my tech knew about the nub theory and showed everything to me and then asked if I wanted her guess. I said yes and she guessed girl. Told me baby was in perfect position and nub was straight out. She said it would turn into clitoris. So now I'm reeling cuz I had accepted a boy which it very well still could be! I should not have asked now I have what may be false hope.
Unfortunately I don't have a pic to post as she had already printed some out when I asked at the very end. Now I'll be waiting 8 more weeks to find out for sure. Anyone have correct nub guesses from an us tech?
Also what are these Harmony tests? Is that some you send away for or will a dr office will do it?

April 24th, 2015, 11:34 AM
2boys- I dont know about them but i am paying 99 dollars to have an elective ultrasound done at a clinic that does them at the request of the parents from 16 weeks + onward. If you REALLY want to see your little girl google elelctive ultrasound clinics near your area and see if there is one :)
This is the clinic i will be using... i have no idea where you are located though.

Thanks Rosie! Team Green is fun . We were team green for baby #2. It didn't matter what he was when he came out I loved him so much and worked hard to have the birth I wanted. But I am a PPD sufferer and a week or two after realizing I would never have a daughter I got really sad. So this time I'm going to find out and work through whatever I need to before baby is here in hopes of not taking away that time from baby once he is here.
I'm not saying that will happen to you it just did for me so I'm trying a different route this time. I do wish I could do team green again cuz it is a lot of fun to make people squirm and wait! Cheers!

Angelique, don't worry, we were of course both lucky, I guess I feel you were luckier :luck: But I guess I'm luckier than other people that have many IVF attempts to get their girl. We all have our own journey and struggles and are all get lucky in our own way. You had an ectopic pregnancy and a narrow margin in which to conceive this time, and managed to get a girl! I've had GD in 3 pregnancies and started to give up hope to ever have a girl, and suddenly got an accidental girl. I just wish I had been in your situation 6 years ago with my second pregnancy, it would have saved me a lot of heart ache :broken:
Emilee, welcome! My tech told me girl at 13 weeks. It's his speciality, early gender detection from 13 weeks. I still doubt it, but since I also had an early blood test done at 7 weeks that said girl, I have to remind myself that it really should be a girl. I will only announce to the world that it is a girl when I have my 20 week scan, only my family know about the girl prediction at 13 weeks. I'm too afraid to jinx it!
Most u/s places only do gender from 15 or 16 weeks though, even though it's possible to see gender at 13 or 14 weeks. I hope your tech was right, but I think you can assume she's right!
XX, after Burakoam, are you next to find out gender?
EmileeJane
April 24th, 2015, 12:39 PM
Thanks Claire! I have my fingers crossed. I will only tell people gender IF its a girl at 20+ weeks. I have only told my sis about the nub prediction and She Is stoked of course.
Glad to hear you are getting your girl!

I think I may be next to find out. I'm preparing to hear boy too, but hoping for a girl. According to Ramzi theory, this one implanted on the left side seen from my transvaginal US at 5weeks 6days. I also ovulated on the left too as they measured my corpus luteum which was my left ovary. Trying not to get too excited but remain hopeful!
I just feel so blessed to be pregnant after how long I struggled. I just want a healthy baby!! A DD for DH would be the icing on the cake though [emoji4]!

Sorry you didn't hear boy Bura! I hope you are doing alright. Congrats on your healthy girl.
So I caught up on past posts and it looks like A LOT of people are getting girls/their DG.
I ended up telling DH about the tech guessing girl and he was pretty excited. Although I'm now totally convinced there are few girls left! I can't possibly end up with my girl at this point. Like others have said someone has to have 3 boys or 3 of a kind!
Of course I'm not out yet. Just not so hopeful anymore. There just has to be some of us having boys since there are so many having girls.
I know I'll be okay with a 3rd boy just sad. I'll be getting my confirmation scan at 20 weeks around mid June and will let you all know.
Cheers to you all getting your DG, fingers crossed for anyone having their scans soon! Good luck.

I have 3 of a kind... Still a good chance you will get your girl especially if the tech was confident. Hubby is so over the moon for his daughter he has really surprised me. So i let him pick her name and while not my personal favorite i can live with it.... angela victoria..I decided if we can afford it and hubby really wants his boy we will eventually have one more but ONLY high tech so i know its an xy going in to me

I'm glad he is over the moon! How cool. I think that when you see your sweet health baby on the scan you fall in love no matter what. Of course you may still have rough days. If I was just starting out again having kids, Id just love the thought of 3 girls! (I never had a desire for even one boy growing up)! I can't picture life without my boys now but, it's funny how you envision your life and how it actually turns out. Probably better then in our dreams!
Hope the rest of your pregnancy is smooth sailing bura!

I feel the same as you!! All these girls, someone has to have a boy and it's probably me.... That's ok I love my two boys and know I would love the third just as much:). I have a sono scheduled for next Tuesday, I will be 12.5 weeks and hope to get a clue as to boy or girl. I am 100% convinced it will be my third little boy, but still have hope for a girl! But like you said, everyone is having girls, someone will have to break the streak....

Having my first real bad day and need to vent..not sure this is really gender disappointment so i thought id share it here..
Im still sick, and im getting really really sick of vomitting every morning when i wake up. I wasnt this sick with the previous girls and while i know every pregnancy is different i feel cursed not blessed because i prayed and begged god for 7 months just to get pregnant this time and figured i was signing myself up for a couple months of puking hands down since it was in my previous pregnancies but i didnt expect this.
I hate pretty much all food except the stuff thats really really bad for trying to avoid developing gestational diabetes again. So in order to not be sick im constantly giving in to what DOES sound good like mcdonalds and ice cream and every fast food place around here. my absolute biggest concern is all of the pasta ive been eating knowing that was a big trigger for the Gestational diabetes last pregnancy but i cant stop.
I didnt want another girl. It doesnt change how much i love this baby because my god i love her so much but WHY 3 daughters? the odds werent even in my favor to have 3 girls..the statistical odds to have 3 daughters in a row are something like 22% and i guess those odds should make me feel blessed but instead im back to feeling cursed. I had to delete a friend of mine that recently had a baby boy..hes a month old...between that baby and my daughters half brother im going out of my mind with sadness. not necessarily envy because i am pregnant and it is my husbands baby, girl or not but im so freaking sad. Im sick, and im sad, and im tired..and im not even halfway done with this pregnancy.
im sure i sound whiny and ungrateful and im sorry. i just had to have a place i could put this and facebook was definitely not the place and nobody in my family seems to understand and my husband would just die if he knew how i feel today. For the most part since saturday ive been really good you know? slight shock at most i thought but maybe it was more than just slight shock and that shock is what kept me from fully 'feeling' what im feeling today. Maybe my hormones are just running crazy and between those and the sickness im over reacting and this isnt how i really feel at all..
the truth is im not even sure this is gender disappointment so much as it is being sick of being sick and being sick of pregnant...this pregnancy has just absolutely kicked my ass, and i was not prepared for it at all. My other pregnancies werent easy either but this is like a whole new level of 'this sucks'. Once i take my vitamins for the night i have to go to sleep or i end up puking my guts out and puking them all up. im so sick some nights that i cant even take my iron and then pay for it the next two days in the form of lethargy and breathlessness
:broken:

Nothing wrong with venting bura. Its hard to deal with all of those emotions. Starting out i wanted exactly what you have 3 girls. I didnt want boys at all. Haha. It is hard to not get what you want. Of course you are happy baby is healthy and you love her but you have the right to be sad and disappointed. You also are so so sick and i think that is mostly what it is bothering you. I truly hope it gets better soon.

April 28th, 2015, 08:46 PM
Thank you rosie...your response helped more than you know... I think i unintentionally lied to my DH because i an starting to think another pregnancy ever would absolutely kill me even if it was 10 years from now... I think i will just hope quietly in the back of my mind that he will be content with the 3 daughters we have. Rosie i am praying so hard you get your girl even if you are okay either way.. You definitely deserve her. Funny that fate seems to have its own ideas for fair indeed and we are pretty much in the opposite positions with eachother from what we wanted.
EmileeJane
April 29th, 2015, 02:40 PM
I agree I think a lot has to do with being so sick. When. You feel like garbage anything else you have that may be bugging you is absolutely intensified! It's hard to handle any extra drag when you're physically and emotionally drained.
Sorry you get that sick when pregnant! Anyone would agree that that would be hard to handle . And finding out you didn't get your DG is still so fresh. So take it easy on yourself. Of course you love your sweet baby, it takes time to adjust to what your new plans and path may look like.
Like Rosie I'd totally dig 3 girls and think you are pretty lucky, especially statistically speaking, like you said.
I am also craving McDonald's and normally I'd eat it once a yr!
Hugs lady♡

Hope things are looking up today bura. Glad my words could help a bit. When i was told ds3 was a boy i was in a dark place but now i am sooooo in love with him. I just couldnt imagine lifw without him. Proof that your baby will be loved. Its just that dang nagging hole in your heart of your missing gender. Doesn't mean you dont love dd3...you just desire ds1 and wonder about him. Nothing wrong with that at all. If i end up with ds4 there will always be a small hole in my heart for dd1 but i will surely love ds4 to a bazillion pieces.

today wasnt as bad as yesterday...struggling a bit hormones/emotions wise but thats because i think im overloading my already fragile pregnant mind. We were going to move to texas in june but plans got pushed back to november after baby arrives...i have stuff packed up and i refuse at this point to unpack it so i feel like the last two days has been a giant temper tantrum from me...poor DH..lol
Thank you Rosie and Emilee...both of you brought tears to my eyes. :tissue: I still worry about that dumb glucose test but hell at the rate im going i may not even be able to take it because i'll throw up the drink and they will make me redo it until they realize im just going to keep throwing it up lol...that stuff sits hard in my stomach even in my other pregnancies where at that point i wasnt sick...
Keeping in mind statistical rarities...maybe this due date club will just be loaded 100% with girl babies..sure it doesnt happen often but to say it has never happened...well i dont believe it. Heres to any other pink dreamers getting their dream this pregnancy too.:pickuphappy:

Burakoam- sorry your feeling so awful still:( maybe try the unisom/b6 again? Take it for a couple days to get in your system. I took it before bed and when taking only half the tablet I didn't feel much more sleepy the next day. But the nights I took a whole tablet I was sleepy again at 9/10 am.
The last couple days I haven't felt much movement:( which stinks big time because my mind goes in panic mood. I had a few days were I felt baby a couple different times a day, now not so much. Anyone else go a couple days barely feeling movement. I am about 18 weeks. I haven't felt any big movements yet, just the flutters/tiny poking. I am pretty sure my placenta is anterior.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Queenbee- with my 1st pregnancy I felt consistent movement from 17 wks on and with DS2 I felt him twice at 15 wks, again at 18 and not again until 21 wks and it was consistent from then on. You're at a hard stage where depending on placenta and baby placement it still may be a couple weeks before it's consistent. I know its is nerve wracking though! I'm sure all is well with your sweet babe!
Claire33
April 30th, 2015, 04:48 PM
I have the same QueenB, and also have an anterior placenta. Now at 19 weeks I'm starting to feel more movement, but sometimes nothing for half a day or more, and then I get worried. I'm looking forward to being further along and feeling more movement though!

So I had my amnio yesterday. Glad to have that over. But the doctor found some fluid around the heart. He is testing for a viral infection. It could also indicate a genetic problem or it could resolve on its own. Any body have this and what was the result?
srg09cag11
May 1st, 2015, 03:45 PM
I also have an anterior placenta -- I had one with my last pregnancy too. I honestly don't notice a lot of difference with the movement, but I do notice my belly button pops out a lot early because of this placement. My doctor said the position is likely because of my previous c-sections; the baby implants as far away from the scar as possible because it's "safer and more cushy."
Burakoam
May 1st, 2015, 04:18 PM
That makes so much sense SRG! My previous two babies never had an anterior placenta and i was shocked to know this one did...well i had a tubal ligation AND a tubal reversal to have this baby so now it makes sense if it was trying to avoid scar tissue..
Keshet ive never had any experience with that or amnio period...here is hoping its nothing serious or it resolves on its own. Thoughts and prayers for you and baby...

cant find my thermometer trying to figure out if i still have a fever after tylenol or if im just a really big baby. Im shaking cold and lethargic but my body feels hot... Sounds silly because duh thats exactly what a fever sounds like but worried about going to the er not knowing FOR SURE i have a fever... Hubby would be upset if i make him take me and fever is normal... Only concern would be if i still had fever after tylenol only way its ER worthy
Burakoam
May 4th, 2015, 09:41 PM
Bought a thermometer... Temp is 100.3 and im 3 hours into last tylenol dose... Bottle and dr say not to take it but every 6 hours... Before i rush off to the ER and opinions other pregnant mamas?
Rosie85
May 4th, 2015, 09:51 PM
100.3 is fine. It is if its over 101 you need to worry. I randomly have a 100.2 temp for no reason now and again and doc said no big deal. If you feel dehydrated though you should go in for that.
Burakoam
May 4th, 2015, 10:23 PM
My normal temp is 97-98.6 generslly i feel pretty icky at 99 and above... My only concern is iy being 100 anything after tylenol but my fever may just be high and so 100.3 is lower st the moment... Yuck though
Rosie85
May 5th, 2015, 09:30 AM

My dr told me they don't tell them so they don't accidentally say something. It's a good thing. That way no one knows
When I delivered we told everyone in the room that we wanted to announce gender. So when he came out no one said anything until we checked what we had.

Good luck tomorrow Keepthefaith! I know what you mean about not 100% trusting the Harmony test! I am in the same situation. I'm getting SUPER nervous about my scan in 2 days, what if they say boy? Maybe the 13 week scan was wrong, despite the UL tech being an expert on early gender detection and 100% sure, despite an early blood test saying girl! WHAT if it is a boy??? How would I take that news...??
I have even bought a few girls clothes, even though I said I wouldn't until my 20 week scan.
Bura, I hope you feel better soon!
