I had an early vaginal US today. My last menstruation was nov 20th, pos OPK on 2 & 4 th dec. BFP on dec 15th. I should be around 7+4 days today. The OB who did the US said baby measured only 7mm and that's too small to be 7+ weeks. From what I read at 7 weeks baby should measure around 13mm.
Everything else looked fine and we could clearly see a heart beating.
Should I be worried?
Anyone else had this experience?

Any chance you miscalculated ovulation?

Well of course that's always possible. But if I ovulated let's say four days later than I thought that would mean I got a BFB 8dpo. Very early. But I guess that's possible?

The OB didn't seem too handy with the ultrasound machine and said herself it was tricky to measure correctly. My DH thought her hands were very unsteady when she was moving the marker to take the measurements. So it might just be a combo of late O and bad measuring.

I have this gut feeling that everything is the way it should so I'm not too worried!

Probably just didn't measure it very well. My SIL had a baby measuring really small early on and they did IVF so they knew when conception occurred. Anyway all was fine in the end and it caught up. Don't know if it really was small or just wasn't measured well so who knows. Hope it's the same result for you :)

:agree: I have seen pos pg tests 8 DPO, it is possible and if you feel things are going right, chances are they are!
