Hello,

I'm new to this website. I have a boy and finally decided to give another try to conceive my dream girl.
My LH test just showed a smile face this morning (Clearblue). My cycles are usually 28 - 30 days (last month was 33). My husband and I had intercourse cd 10, 11, 12 (day before LH surge).
My vaginal ph was 4 yesterday. 5.5 on Tuesday (tested by the ob/gyn). As we're trying for a girl this time, do you think yesterday's bd was too close to ovulation?

Thanks!

From what I have learned, timing doesn't sway as how often you BD does. You really want only one attempt at Positive opk. You should probably not BD today though.
Good Luck!!!!

Timing doesn't sway, and you don't need to worry about pH, it doesn't sway much if at all. If you really want a girl, definitely don't BD any more this cycle, or at least not until CD16.

You should look into the LE diet (diet being the biggest sway factor), daily cardio exercise, and in future TTC cycles you should BD only once, as soon as you get a positive OPK. I'd strongly recommend swaying for a full 3 months on the diet/exercise before TTC again. We do things very differently here, and you're obviously following outdated tactics we don't use. Timing has been proven not to sway at all, instead how much you BD when fertile sways. The lazy/easy tactics barely sway, it's doing the diet and exercise strictly that really ups your chances of a girl.

Timing doesn't sway but either way you're fine. YOu do NOT ovulate the day of the LH surge, you ovulate 24-36 hours later which would be about a 2-2 1/2 day cutoff, Shettles girl timing.

I didn't know where else to post. I've been sway for a girl for 18 weeks now . As
Discussed before my luteal phase was only around 8/9 days the last two cycles however I was getting a positive opk around 13/14 days every month . Today is cycle day 14 and I still haven't gotten my ph surge . I've even gained 1/2 pounds this month and cut out my peppermint tea as
Suggested ( I still have one every couple of day as this is just my lifestyle ) I don't get it . Is there any other reason why I might not ovulate this month . Also We did have an attempt last night ( not the best attempt , it ended a little shallow by accident ) . If I do get lucky with a possitive opk tonight or tomorrow , should I do one more attempt to be on the safe side ? Only since my luteal phase has been so short ?

After 18 weeks you need to be in with another attempt for sure.

Is there a reason why you're not doing every 4 days yet?? I would suggest doing that.

Please do not panic over getting to CD 14 and not having a surge yet. Your cycle can change and you will still ovulate, just on a different day than last month.

Thanks for getting back to me . On the other posts I thought I understood that you said one attempt was best and to try and cut out my supplements and potions before adding another attempt. This month i decided to do the every four days but kinda added an extra attempt after a night of partying . . I did 2 attempt total one on Friday night then another in the middle of the night Saturday/ Sunday . Its Sunday now and I ended up getting a smiley face this morning when I got home . Hopefully I get a BFP and hopefully we get our little girl . At this point I'm not sure how much longer I can do diet and Exercise but I've works so hard I don't want to give up .

But by 18 weeks I'd have had you give up all those things already and be adding attempts.

I apologize for confusion, I do my best but it's literally impossible for me to remember every person's unique journey.

Good luck for pink BFP this month!

No worries . I totally get that . Thanks for
The good wishes .

After our attempt , because We have been so busy , I had to drop my excercise and diet to get though our days . I am on day 5 of no excersise because of the weekend as well . Plus I've been eating a lot more including breakfast and snacks . Still vegetarian though . What would you suggest for the following month if I don't get a BFP this cycle ? Should I skip the next attempt and regroup . If decide to stop the sway for 2-4 weeks how long would you recommend waiting and doing diet if I have to start over ?

After 18 weeks swaying please DO NOT take a month off to regroup. Just pick it up again and try the very next month. For all we know it was something your body needed in order to conceive.
