Hello all,
New here but have been lurking for a while.
We are trying TTC pink. We are older parents (DW=36, DH=45) and have a 3 year old boy who had several developmental issues and even got an autism dx, so shooting for a girl is much safer for us.

However, we have several restrictions due to our age and the issues that we had with our son. For example, I need to stay on prenatal DHA and prenatal Vitamins. Husband needs to be on Proxeed. That being said, I have drastically changed my diet to a more acidic diet and I am skipping breakfast and trying to lose weight . I have also started taking more Ca+ and Mg+ and I am currently looking for a cranberry supplement.

We think O+12 is the better way to go for us, and I have read a lot about it, but I still have a few questions...

1- I have a clearblue fertility monitor. From what I understand, I should wait until the monitor shows ovulation (NOT just high), and from there I start monitoring changes in BBT, CM, O pain. Once I have experienced all those changes, then 8 or 12 hours later we DDT. Is this correct?

2- I hear a lot about 36hrs with O+12. what is this exactly? Does this mean that, if I am using the clear blue monitor, when I see ovulation, then most likely 36hrs later I should DDT, considering everything else (BBT, CM, O pain) also confirms this? I am SO confused about this.

3- This is TMI but I am having a hard time distinguishing between dry and wet CM. Should I just check CM at the entrance of Vg or all the way up? If I go all the way up then there is some wetness and even some lotiony type of stuff, but it's very scant. Is this considered dry?

4- I read somewhere around here that Ovulation can occur when you have your period. that's confusing to me. Why is it that my ff chart show that I should ovulate a few days AFTER my period?

Thank you so much everyone!

Welcome crunchy :). You are going about things a lot differently than we do here. We don't do calcium or magnesium generally (extra nutrients may sway blue) and we don't go for 0+12 because if done correctly you have almost 0 chance of pregnancy http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/7691-trouble-timing.html

Here is a good place to start reading up on things. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/3305-complete-index.html. Or you can get a plan if you don't want to do a ton of reading.
Good luck with your sway. When are planning on TTC?

Hi and welcome.

I BEG you not to do O+12. It doesn't work for swaying and it is a really, really bad idea to wait around till your egg is nearly dying to get pregnant - you are NOT going to get a healthy baby that way. Please read the trouble with timing essay linked above and also this one. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/trying-conceive-girl/35539-no-12-a.html

If you MUST do O+12, the easiest way is to wait till you get first peak on your monitor, wait 48 hours and DTD then. Don't worry about wet CM, dry CM, it's all a bunch of baloney, it DOESN'T WORK. It has NOTHING to do with when you ovulate, it is about how quick your body clears the estrogen from your system and this is different for everyone in every month. I had EWCM for almost 2 days after I ovulated with my DD and if I had waited till my CM went dry to TTC, I would not have a daughter today. People do not get pregnant doing O+12 "right" because the egg is dead and gone by the time people DTD. I do have an easy to understand how to essay here but I really do not encourage O+12 http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ttc-girl-best-practices/1292-o-12-part-2-how-do-o-12-a.html

RE q 4 - I am not totally understanding this question but some people have very long periods and can sometimes ovulate while they're still bleeding a little bit. IT"s not terribly common and it is much more likely that you will ovulate a few days after your period ends (even like a week-10 days)
