FR for DH in mid forties with lower sperm count?

Hi everyone :) I've been lurking on this site for a few months, while TTC a girl. I was on IG in the past and had one failure and one success with swaying there. We've been trying for awhile and are not getting pregnant. I've always gotten pregnant within three months before, and I'm starting to worry that the frequent release for seven days before our attempts is the problem. DH is in his mid forties (though I'm in my twenties) and already has a lower sperm count, and I'm worried that by the time we actually get to the attempt we've depleted his sperm to nothing. I'm thinking we should lower the amount of days of release before our next attempt but I'm not sure how many. Any advise would be wonderful , thanks :)

Have DH release on his own, or with you, with a condom, every 2-4 days for as far in advance of your sway as is feasible and keep the one attempt. This is called "regular release with one attempt". It will optimize sperm count and quality but the one attempt will sway pink for you.

As far as timing, I usually ovulate day 16, so we've been doing FR days 9-15 and our attempt day 16 or whenever I get a positive opk.

Perfect! Just wanted to make sure you weren't trying a super long cutoff or O+12 because those could also explain BFN. :)
