So I ended up with the old wives tale girl skin. I am a walking greaseball! I have never had acne problems even as a teenager and my DS's pregnancy was smooth sailing. I've finally got my hair worked out now its just my skin. ITS EVERYWHERE! Has anyone found anything that works really well that doesnt contain the "may not be safe while pregnant" chemicals like salycilic acid?

Use raw honey to wash your face. I swear it works better than snything and it's safe, of course:)

Some doctors tell people not to use the salycilic acid stuff during pregnancy but it's ok as long as you put it on your skin like 1x a day and don't EAT the stuff (some OTC acne medications have it included as an oral medication) Something like a toner or a face wash is ok, especially if you rinse after using it. Prob best to avoid the types you leave on in high concentrations like wrinkle peels during pregnancy. I think this stuff is AWESOME despite being very affordable!!! I have had pimples my whole life and this cleared them right up and I think it even helps erase my wrinkes (gee, wouldn't it be nice to have like a solid year without either pimples or wrinkles - but nope they just run right into each other) Blackhead Clearing Green Tea Scrub (http://www.stives.com/product/detail/357505/blackhead-clearing-green-tea-scrub)

What about your moisturizer? I find that I break out if I wash my face and not moisturize right afterward. My skin becomes dry then goes into excess oil production to make up for the dryness. I use aveda all sensitive for mine.

I am a big fan of 100% Pure skin care products. Organic and truly all natural, definitely safe while pregnant.

Also consider the Oil Cleansing Method, it helped the most when I had a bout of cystic acne. I used expeller pressed, extra virgin avocado and coconut oils.

Coconut oil is fab, it's a natural antiseptic too! Failing that I use sudocrem after washing my face (only on the the areas that get more oily)

I don't know how some women look so fab in pregnancy, that glow they talk about is just excess oil on me and make up just slides off my face! My hair starts to grow loads of new hair and then I look like I have a new mullet hairstyle. Oh and to be able to just have a bump but my limbs remain the same size would be fantastic except I grow bigger everywhere. Including my face that will be as round as the moon within a couple of months!!!! Ugh.

Thanks for the tea scrub suggestion AS! So far shampoo containing either green tea or tea tree oil has been the savior for my hair. I still have to scrub the heck out of it practically daily which with my normal hair that would have dried it to a crisp!

Lol Nahri, that's incredable although I think your lovely great bazookas could take anyone's eyes off a potential bump ha ha! My 1st pregnancy I didn't show till I was 6 months, 2nd was 4 months and this one was 6 weeks lol! My bloating has gone down but a bump is there instead. Can't disguise it anymore and I wish I had big boobs to even me out a bit lol! My boobs do not change until the month I'm due which I guess is handy for not buying bras.

Ugee, I think we are due at the same time! My skin is soooooooooooooo dry - I can't find anything moisturizing enough! And soooooooooo spotty. Someone asked me if I'd been vomiting a lot the other day and broken the blood vessels in my skin but no...they are just spots! And my hairdresser asked what was going on with my big hair...the more pregnancies I have the thicker my hair is getting. Weird!

Nahri, Tea Tree oil does nothing for my face or hair either. Plus I don't like the smell.

Me+4, try a moisturizer with Shea Butter and Aloe Vera both in the first 3 ingredients, and make sure there's no alcohol which is very drying. The night creams by 100% Pure meet these criteria. If that doesn't do the trick, try their Facial Oil blend.

Glad to have someone due at same time as me! Feel like I'm way behind everyone else finding out pink or blue. Hoping the nausea will pass soon. No luck yet tho. It's weird what happens to our bodies during pregnancy!

Holy miracle cure on the St Ives tea scrub. (doesnt smell like tea tree oil for those of you who dont like it) I noticed almost immediate results on the fact that I didn't feel like I rolled around in french fry grease! Breakout is less and less daily!

I ran out and my face was immediately covered in bumps again. I had been thinking it was probably just due to age, maybe my skin was coincidentally getting better but it really seemed to make a huge difference.

Oh atomic I started making my husband use it! He was using the Axe mens facewash and it was doing him good but hes a log truck driver and he usually comes home looking like he rolled through every ounce of grease on that truck. Told him to try it one night just because if it could take care of his issues then it was a winner all the way around. Hes going to be using it from now on lol!

I just realized rereading this that some people thought it has tea tree oil, it doesn't, it's green tea extract and salycilic acid. Glad it worked for you, I wish I would have found it years ago.
