If I remember correctly I get cramps for a full week or longer before - but they were MUCH worse / like ache down my legs; but it's been so long since I've had a run of cycles to go by. I'll splurge snd by a good quality FRER for tomorrow :)

I think I'm going to test tomorrow. I thought about doing it today but I really don't want to see a bfn. I would almost rather just wait for af instead of testing. I don't know what it is this cycle but I don't feel like obsessively testing like I usually do. Maybe it's because I've hardly had any symptoms.

Our first month really trying will be in July. I have been researching for over a year and finally had to guts to join last night. Now I have all kinds of new information and I'm thinking my plan is totally off. 😆😩 would love to join you girls. I currently have two precious boys, my first born will be 3 in August and my other little boy is 15 months. Hoping for a little pink in our home.

Sorry mommy and true. I'm confident that it's just too early. I am really frustrated/confused that I haven't gotten a bfp this cycle because my lp symptoms have been seriously lacking. I normally have a rough go of the 2ww with nausea, sore bbs, the whole nine yards. This time, I've only had really light cramping pretty much the whole time. It actually made me think I'd def get a bfp just because it's so different from what normally happens, you know? Unfortunately I can't remember how many dpo I was when I got my bfp's before. :/ I am pretty sure that it took a while, like a whole week after my period was supposed to start.

The only thing that is different for me this cycle, is that a couple days ago only my left breast was hurting, as oppose to both. Which, like you said momamia, makes me think maybe it will be a BFP. I DO NOT want to get my hopes up though. The due date would be too perfect. March 1st was my late FIL's birthday.

I test every 4 hours, 3 times a day approaching O. So for example I test 12pm, 4pm, 8pm.
I try to use the lines and only use the digital to confirm if I feel the lines are any way close.

Ash, when I use the cb I can get a negative in the morning and then a positive in the afternoon. So far, I haven't had that happen with the cb advanced. It seems to be really accurate for me. I've used it for 3 cycles now and I have consistently had O pains on the 2nd day of positive (which is supposed to be the day you actually ovulate). It is a bit more expensive but I feel like the price evens out to the same amount as what I was spending on the other cb tester because I was testing twice a day with that one.

Hello! Last minute decision to start ttc a girl this month instead of August! I was going to wait til August bc I would prefer a late spring/ summer baby, but im realizing it's never going to be an ideal time and it may take awhile this time bc of the diet. Plus Im already down to 103lbs and even though I've only been on the diet for 7 weeks so far, the thought of only just starting attempts in aug seemed like it could end up being a very long time!
I'm estimated to O next week Monday (June 22- my birthday!!) so wish me lots of baby girl luck :). I'm already getting a fair bit of watery cm though so maybe I'll o early..

Are people planning to use RePhresh if they have a fair bit of cm/ewcm? I think Im going to use it about 2-3 days before attempt..
I'm not sure whether to o or not. Thinking maybe the Rephresh would combat the effects of o'ing during attempt?

momamia4
June 18th, 2015, 01:16 PM
I'm not going to use rephresh, boyboygirl. I feel like I will have enough working in my favor (6 months on the diet, clomid, and Dh's supps) that I am not going to worry about it. Plus, the last 3 cycles, I've had hardly any. I chalk it up to the diet because I normally have a ton of ewcm and now there's almost nothing!! It's crazy!! :) I actually got some conception friendly lube because I'm concerned about what will happen with the clomid and I want to be prepared.

Agree with Hitme! I think all the work we have done over the preceding months also continues to work to some extent, so even if you have a shoddy 2ww (I just did) firstly I bet it's not as bad as you think, and secondly you have a good two weeks to really get back on track. I think for all of our mental health we need to ttc whenever we have the chance, I can feel my life slowly being consumed by ttc and this site (much as I love it and you ladies!!!) and for me I just don't think it is healthy (I have a bit of an obsessive, perfectionist personality).

I felt like skipping this month a week ago at cd1, but now I'm fully back on track and feeling good about my sway again (although I need to get more exercise in!)

Ashforblue
June 19th, 2015, 12:13 PM

I've been away thinking.... DH has to wait for his testosterone shots and I was hoping he would have had 2 shots before July 13 (about when I would O). But instead he will either get 1st shot on or after that day. So we may not try until August. But then again we may still try in July, with my clomid, who knows.

Boyboygirl, I'm planning on avoiding it. :/ I take loratidine for seasonal allergies.

I have a problem ladies. I'm not sure when I should say cd1 is. 3 days ago, I started spotting. The day after that, the flow increased enough that I used a tampon but then it stopped. Then it started back up the next day and was just enough that I used another tampon and then stopped again. Today is the first day I've had a medium flow all day. So, should I count today as cd1 because it was the first consistent day or do I count the first day that I used a tampon as cd1? I only care because I'm supposed to start Clomid on cd3 which is either today or up to 2 days from now. Thanks for your help!! :)

Quick rant. I feel like the only pink swayer who is all over the map with my dedication. I'm cardio a week or 2 on, then off for the same, my diet has been *ok* but so many cheats too. I stopped tracking my cals on MFP when AF came. In some ways I feel it's less stressful but in other hand it was so good at keeping me motivated, whereas now I feel like I've partially given up. Certainly not giving it my all any more :(

Thread crashing! Hang in there sweetie! Swaying is hard! Don't beat yourself up. Just pick yourself up and start again. If tracking things makes you crazy, then use simple portion control and don't add any fat to things (like butter, oil, etc). Cheats are totally fine!

Trust me, we all have our moments! Just re-evaluate what you think you can realistically do and develop a new plan that you feel you can stick to better!

Hugs, sweetie [emoji8]!

I love you XX- I love your thread crashing - it saves me a lot of the time!
The diet im not so worried about as a whole. It's the wishy/washy cardio pattern I've been on that has me so unsure. Like do I just pick up and go jogging after being couch for almost 3 weeks?
I really do need s new plan.

Do you feel like exercising? If you're doing it because you feel you should but not because you want to, then I wouldn't. You'll keep doing much of the same, YK? I did the exercise because it is a habit for me. I'm totally a type A personality and for me to be calm and relaxed, I HAVE to exercise! If I don't, I don't even like myself, lol!!

I LOVED how I felt after jogging! I was up to 9 k (a little over one hour for me) and I loved it! But I don't have a tread mill so my excuses started there - climate here is unpredictable and I can only run after DH gets back. So that was one hurdle to get over and that was ok - some days my kids would nap so I could YouTube some dance videos or whatever; but most days I found myself waiting for good weather. Then the Clomid gives me wicked o pains at random times (not just o time), so found myself sitting it out for long stretches, and then when I was free of pain my stinkin ankle started acting up.
I think I need to start over with cardio - walk, and add jogging as it feels right, but only be committed to walking. That's how I was when I started my sway - I never thought I'd jog - I could only go 30 seconds lol!!!

I walk for 80 to 90 min a day its around 8 to 10 km. I do brisk walking a really get a sweat up. Atomic said walking it good. If i had to jog every day i think i would of stopped by now because its really hard to do esp pushing a heavy toddler in a pram.

I have issues taking the stroller for an hour. THAT gets too painful, my shoulders can't handle it. But I'd like to do SOMETHING. I just hope it doesn't spike my T levels with starting over

I agree with XX. Just do what you can, Hitme. :) Walking is perfect! I am in the same boat as you. I am more dedicated some weeks and then others, I feel like are a total bust! I try to take a step back and look at the big picture. I skip breakfast every day (which I *never* have done before). I eat significantly less meat, especially less red meat. I still eat meat like 3-5 times a week but I try to keep it chicken only (I'm not a fan of seafood). I try focus on the things my mom and sisters do naturally (they are complete opposites of me and all have a bunch of girls!!!). They hardly eat any meat but when they do, it's usually chicken and they don't exercise. So, that way I can feel ok about my sway because even they don't consistently eat the same things or do the same amount of exercise. I think you still have a strong sway even if you're "cheating" on your diet and even if you're not exercising. You are still doing things differently than when you got your boys! :D That's what is most important! :hugs:

I'm ready to take on the week with a different attitude.
I'm going to try to walk - or do the videos and keep on the diet the way I have been. We're too social of a family to be able to avoid every awesome food lol
I've been on the diet for 13 weeks :) with skipping breaky since like January.
Barely any meat, nice low fat numbers most of the week. Maybe too low on protien most days too / which is a 180.
I conditioned myself for cardio which is a feat im so proud of - and if I can do it again that's great but if not
I'll just do my best.
I've made awesome changes, now God willing let's just get pregnant haha!

Girls. I know i dont have very good odds of conception with a cut off but my plan for july is a 3 to 4 day cut off. Should i get hubby to FR or abstain. I am only having 1 attempt so not using any jellies or anything but would i have slightly better odd of conception with abstain or FR? If i dont fall pregnant in july and odds are i wont i will try closer to ovulation the next month. Hubby is on LR and soy milk

Well girls... I've heard atomic mention several times on here the month you try will not go as planned. I'm proof. I mentioned my cycle this month was 37 days (I usually have a 31-33 day cycle. Ovulate days 21 on.

This morning I took my OPK. Forgot to even check it and went for my morning walk. This evening I take a look at it and it's positive. FROM THIS MORNING! Went ahead to confirm it with a digital AND its def positive. DAY 14!! What in the world.

I didn't even have time to take Zyrtec. Heck haven't even bought it!! I didn't rephresh 10 hours before like I planned. Nothing!!! We even DTD last night trying to do every 4 days and one time right at positive OPK... THATS OUT THE WINDOW TOO!

I frantically cracked open my rephresh and inserted a fingertip. We used sylk as lube. I was on top and flipped onto my back for maybe 2 mins and stood up. I waited about 5 min and inserted the rest of the tube of rephresh.

Maybe what I've been doing the last couple of months is enough, on top of exercise and drastic weight loss. I only ate 1100 calories today not meaning to.

Who knows if anything made it or not anyway or I prob killed them all!lol

I still can't bekieve I ovulated so early!! Mind blown.

Oh well! If this is our month we will gladly welcome a little blue as well! I at least tried!hahaha

I've asked this question on a thread but no one has answered yet so I'll see if anyone here can help. Just wondering if it's risky to have (protected) sex during the 2ww? Are you guys doing one attempt and then no more fun til...? Lol
If you do, do you still avoid the big O?
Thanks ☺️

I can't help the big o being in the back of my head, plus I hurt a lot close to O so im avoiding only bc im like get it over with lol
We plan to dtd every 4 days after our initial attempt. Having protected sex isn't risky at all unless abstain is your game which isn't really recommended so much now.

Hey Ladies

I'm TTC this summer too.

I'm 34 years old, and a step Mum to 2 lovely teen boys.

Just ordered my Vitex, Folic Acid, Fibre Tablets, and some Olive Leaf for the hubbie.
Next Saturday I have an appointment with a private Gynaecologist and am hoping to get Clomid prescribed.

My diet is usually High Fat, High Protein, and I usually weight train.
Have started today walking briskly (45 minutes at a time), and will add in some Yoga to destress
It feels weird going over to a mainly veggie diet, but anything for that lil girl :)

Hmmmm I can't really answer this.
Atomic Sage said to include it in my sway, so it could just be personal for me ?
Fiber supplement (Metamucil, Chitosan – anything without added vitamins) she said to take it until BFP
And with any meals containing fats.
I'm not sure why, but if Atomic says it... then I do what I'm told :)

Boys boys - yes I do use opks! That's why I'm confused. On the 20th and 21st I got positives (testing twice each day). The 22nd was negative. My temp went from 36.5's to 36.7's on the 22nd and 23rd, then shot up more to closer to 37 and higher since then. I had fertile cm but less than usual due to diet I assume and on 22nd and 23rd it was thick, white and sticky - another reason I find it hard to believe I ovulated when FF says I did.
Ff says I o'd the 23rd but all other info I find says to go by the first positive opk..
I think I o'd on the 22nd...what do you all think? (I'm not sure how to add my chart so maybe this is enough info for opinions?)

I am feeling good about my sway, there is not much else I could of done to have it carried out 'perfectly'. Having said that, having 4 boys already makes me nervous for my chances of a pink one.
I am feeling ok. Can't believe I already feel really tired, like I could nap through out the day, a bit dizzy and yucky feeling (tummy) in the mornings when I wake up, maybe they are not related to my BFP, but I was fine before last week. I'm glad I can stop the diet now! lol :) And I have the biggest pimple come from out of no where, taking centre stage right next to my nose - hoping no more come, I'm 37, I'm not supposed to get pimples anymore!

I always ovulate the day after first Positive. I feel like this time I was like 32 hours after first positive. So did you bd once during your fertile window?? We may have discussed this, I can't keep up with everyone I chat with!LOL

I ovulated on day 14 or 15. I was suppose to ovulate like day 23-26!! It really threw me off. We DTD on the night of cd13 just doing our usual every 3-4 days. Then wambam got a surprise positive that next morning. (That I forgot about and didn't see until they evening!ugh) so we went ahead a DTD that evening after my positive. Looking back I probably should've just stuck with my cd13 attempt but I freaked out.lol we were shooting for one attempt after positive OPK. ANYWAY, I keep telling myself maybe his count was low on our second attempt so more pink made it! IF I didn't drown all pink and blue with rephresh and sylk!lol

Well today is CD1 for me... we are going to give it a try. Even with DH not able to start the shots yet we have a lot of other things we didn't have last time. Cardio, Vegan Diet, Breastfeeding, and Clomid. But we are going to dtd everyday up until the day before O, my other kids were conceived with 2-7 days abstaining so I do not rely on that.

Sorry to hear Hitme! Opk's can be so frustrating to use and cm can be confusing especially being on the LE diet... You could just bd once anyway just in case? Next cycle maybe use opks starting shortly after AF ends? Or do the every 4 days method?

Ya I take the opks from when my clomid round ends, (CDs 3-7) and every days until. I did E4D last cycle and it stresses me out that the attempt leading up to O was too far off, and then bumped my attempt up and that bugged me (who needs the added stress) so this month I decided to do the 1 attempt at pos opk.
Immi thank you for thinking of me! I saw your BFP and im stoked for you!!!

Hitme, from all the reading I did about clomid and ovulation, it looks like every cycle is different and some were saying that their O was a little later than previous months. I am confident that you'll get a +opk in the next few days. Trust me, I know exactly how frustrated you are right now. I'll be hoping and praying and crossing everything that you get your surge soon!!! :D

Hi all! I'm hoping you don't mind if I join you. We were planning on swaying after our vacation in September but have decided to move our first attempt forward - and the thought has me scared stiff! My AF is due around July 24th, I have a 32-33 day ish cycle with a 13 day LP which would mean attempting around Aug 12th. I have been on LE since May 1st though I had a blip of close to two weeks around the start to the middle of June. I skipped breakfast throughout the blip and most days I was within the higher range of calorie limits but my fat and protein levels were back to boy sway territory! I am back on track though since June 22nd and not worrying about my temporary lapse ;) I had our YDS in Feb 2014 and weighed about 140lbs after having him. That was the same as my pre-pregnancy weight (thanks to the ever-so-wonderful HG) and I have gotten down to my current (and lightest ttc) weight of 125lbs since then. That gives me a current BMI of 20.2, I'd like to lose another 3-5lbs pre-attempt. We are bringing forward our attempts as I have suffered with HG on previous pregnancies and much more weight loss might be harmful to a successful pregnancy. I have a GP appt tomorrow morning to discuss stopping my daily iron supplement (anaemic) and weaning off my Zoloft a bit sooner than anticipated. Hoping that goes favourably!! So I'll be stalking this thread for tips and advice - and hopefully lots of BFP updates :)

Definitely darker to me too Hitme! FXed for a + tomorrow :)

Great news magical, everything crossed hun!

Had GP check today girls, got iron tested again so FXed he will decrease me to every second day. Does iron sway blue? Think it does...
Anyway, have been taking 50mg of Zoloft every two days in the weaning off process. He reckons I can go to every 3 days for the next 3-4 doses then every 4 days etc. Have read Zoloft can help a pink sway but obviously don't want to be ON it if we conceive first month. I think I can time it so I come off it a couple days before our first attempt. Must ask Atomic and get her input!

Keep an eye on the opk hun, I had a cycle a few months ago where I had a +opk for 4 days! We will stick to E4D cause doing opks seems to delay O for me, I just get so stressed waiting for it. Totally Martha lol, can't help myself.

Girls, can I just ask what supps, if any, are your DHs on? I was going to put DH on OLE as soon as poss and then LR from AF-O the month we are trying. Is that right or am I thinking all wrong?

I totally second that hun!!! My O pains can be horrific, worse than period pains - at times I have been known to say O pains (especially in my back) are worse than my 100% natural-didn't-even-take-an-aspirin labor lol!!! I am a bit anxious that we may miss a month or two cause of O pains, I rarely feel up to it with the back pain!!

Thanks momamia, I thought I had it all straight in my head but for some reason got confused this week lol. Thanks for straightening that out for me :)

Ladies yes!!! Especially on Clomid - the pains are starting to pick up worse now, but I get them gearing up to O as well, which is why I'm wishy washy with cardio. I just can't do the same intensity all month long.
Last cycle was a hard one to gauge anything on bc I had a weird Clomid schedule and I think it messed things up but I did o about 24 hrs after my one and only pos opk., so I'm optimistic that the surge will be quick. I'll POAS again tonight 24 hrs after the first pos and see. I'm chatting too so we'll see what my temps do, and well resume e4d plan as well, just to help cover based.

I guess the little bean didn't stick but glad that i can just move on to this cycle without waiting longer to see what's going on. I gotta get back on track with the diet bc I was trying to eat healthier and taking prenatal vitamins (as opposed to just folic acid) as I thought I was pregnant.

I have been laid up in bed after twisting my neck so bad I couldn't move my left leg. After a few home visit yesterday and today from massage therapist, chiropractor, and even my Dr I feel a little better. At least I can stand again.

I don't know how bad it messed with my sway. I tried pain meds for 1 day but they did nothing so didn't take anymore. Before I was hurt we dtd a few times. I did O early I am cd10 and I O on cd9 which is very early for me since normal is cd15. So I think that gives me a few days cut off which I wasn't going for. Since I O'd early there is a chance to O again but I am not feeling up for doing anything.

So to sum it up!
cycle length 28 days
dtd cd 5,6,7,8(afternoon)
O cd 9
clomid cd3,4,5,6
benadryl everynight since monsoons bugs me
also took calcium and mag and folic and fiber
ate a poor vegan chinese/mexican diet of mostly rice and corn, dairy, sweets, and very few veggies. Had a cheat night because pot roast was so good (very small portion). Also held off eating in the morning.

DH is taking blood pressure meds and has been working so hard in the heat without being able to chill in the pool... so I hope that helps to.

So, I have a temping question. Last night, I woke up at my usual temping time but I was freezing cold because DH took all the blankets so I was laying there uncovered. Because of this, my temp was slightly lower than yesterday at 97.44. I decided to take my temp again (I usually temp when I randomly wake up in the middle of the night, which is oddly around the same time each night) after another 4 hours of sleep. This time, my temp was higher: 97.97. Do I use the temp from my normal temping time even though the circumstances were different than normal, or do I use the temp from 4 hours later? This is the first time that I've ever temped so I'm not sure what to do. TIA! :D

Boyboygirl
July 9th, 2015, 04:00 PM
I've read that temping in the middle of the night is not as accurate as morning, but if it's always pretty much the same time you should still see what's going on once the cycle is complete. I would keep both temps with a note about each one and then look at your chart as a whole after several more days have passed with normal temping circumstances. If you want to choose one temp to plug into your calendar - Id use the one at usual time with a note/marker on it.

Hello Ladies!

This is actually the first post I have written about gender swaying. I have two boys and would love to try for a girl. July 3 started my "girl" diet which I am doing pretty good on. I am also taking 1,200 mg clacium, 250mg magnesium, cranberry, and multi vitamins that contain folic acid. I have also started vitex today which I am currently doing a lot of research on before I get too deep into it. I am hoping to try in September so that way I have 3 months into this preparation. I am also going to try the 0+12 method but I am very nervous about the timing. I keep reading over and over until I have an understanding of what to look for and when to DTD.

Good luck everyone on yout sway! I am very excited reading everyone's post!!

Thanks Boyboygirl! I temp in the middle of the night because since I consistently wake up around 5:30am, there isn't a solid 3-4 hours of sleep until I wake up for the day (which is usually between 7 and 8am).

Hi kimberely07! Just my two cents but I would suggest dropping the calcium and magnesium as they have actually shown to sway boy. Also, you should try to find a folate supplement that doesn't contain any other vitamins. The extra vitamins will also sway boy. As far as dtd, I'd recommend 1 attempt when you first get a positive opk. That has been getting the best results for girls. If you can do it, cardio 6 times a week for 60 mins is also getting great pink results. Good luck and FX for your pink bundle! :)

Oh good, lol!! My kids are all older now so they sleep in later than I do usually. :D It's summer here right now, so the older two kids haven't been waking up until around 11am (the 9yo gets up around 9ish). They're really going to regret that decision once school rolls around and they have to get up at 5:45am again. Lol!! I am a little out of practice with getting up with babies in the actual middle of the night. Hahaha!! It'll be an adjustment for sure, if I ever get a bfp that is.

Yes, I agree with momamia.

Most current girl swayers are doing:

* LE diet for at least 12 weeks before attempt which is 1500-1800 calories, 40-50g protein, and 30-60g fat a day.
* Skipping breakfast.
* No snacking.
* Fiber supplement with meals.
* 60 minutes of cardio daily OR nothing at all.
* 1 attempt in fertile window (by BD every 4 days OR by BD once at +opk)
* Folic acid or folate only.
* Clomid if you can get it.
* Alcohol and caffeine daily.
* Olive leaf extract for DH.
* Licorice root for DH (only if under 35 years old with no blood pressure issues).

Most have stopped doing antihistamines, Rephresh/Replens/Sylk, jump and dump, PH stuff, saw palmetto, and even vitex as they don't seem to sway much and only make conception harder.

Planning a blue sway in for my August cycle which means Oin in September. We have a daughter that was a surprise, we swayed blue for our son and hoping for another in May. :)

I'm taking a multivitamin with 800mg FA, an extra dosing of FA 4x a day(800mg each), fish oil 3x a day and I bought L argenine but read about it drying up CM so it's sitting in the cabinet. Also drinking ACV 3x daily. I don't eat much at all so I am not sure where to even begin on that. I know I ate a lot of bananas last time around when swaying and I craved orange juice.

I bought a clearblue smiley OPK yesterday and have gotten low for the past 2 days. I'm currently on cycle day 13. I ovulated on CD 12 the month before we tried for my son and then on CD 13 the month we conceived him. My CM was clear and watery on CD 11 and 12 which is what has me confused. I think I ovulated super early this month because it's now creamy but a bit runny. I haven't started temping but just putting in CM and cramping/changes on my FF chart. Is it possible to ovulate twice in a cycle because before AF I get the CM again watery to creamy then AF is usually a few days after that.

Hello! I've been on and off this thread, but here I am at the week of TTC! Where did the time go? Here is my summary:

Last cycle: 24 days (usually 28, had dropped to 26 days for the past four months on LE)

* LE diet for essentially for 22 weeks. Though I moved into "guesstimating" mode as counting was getting tiring.
* Lost 27lbs in 22 weeks (158 to 131)...5'3"...so not super thin yet...was hoping to get to 125. I'm 29, btw!
* Skipping breakfast (coffee in the morning).
* I wasn't so great about not snacking! But I did stick to 1500-1800.
* Fiber supplements with all meals.
* Got close to 60 mins of cardio for the last 12 weeks on most days. I'd say I averaged 50 minutes 6 days a week.
* Folic acid daily, no other vitamins.
* I'm just not a huge alcohol person so I didn't do that.
* Olive leaf extract for DH.

I know I've done a lot, but somehow I'm still worried it's not enough. I only averaged 50 mins instead of 60 of exercise! I didn't get into the 120s! Our two boys were one-shot wonders at 146lbs and 136lbs, so I'm plenty ready for babies. I just feel like 131 is not low enough to be that different.

We are going to do one attempt, though I'm tempted to do a day before +opk to have a little cut-off. I think +opk will be CD12. I just feel like I need to be as on the fringe as I can be. Any recommendations?!

Welcome, smbarnett11! Your sway looks great to me! It's the act of losing weight that sways. I think you're at a great weight! I would bd at +opk, unless you are absolutely positive that you O close to it. Most women take 24-48 hours to actually O after a +opk. So a cut off might be pushing it. It is your first month ttc though, so you might be comfortable with that. I think your exercise and everything look fantastic! For TTC boy you should DTD the night of first +opk & the following morning and night . Then every other day just in case O was delayed.

It is recommended to DTD every 2-4 days unprotected all cycle long once AF leaves town in attemp month :)

Good Luck :bluecheer:
