View Full Version : My girl sway without a girl diet

This is a confirmed girl sway, just found out I'm having a girl after early chromosome testing due to a false high risk NT result in another pregnancy (my son was fine, 1:15 chance of down syndrome which was incorrect). I'm 14 weeks pregnant now. This is my 4th child and I do already have 1 girl and 2 boys which I didn't sway with, so maybe it's luck and prayers or maybe my half sway worked.

So here goes, I knew that I could never stick to the diet so I just didn't even try it. Instead I did little things over time to try and become more acidic. Each night I'd drink 2 cranberry and vodka drinks just to relax/unwind and I did this for about 6 months. Then about 2 months before our attempt I started taking Lydia Pinkham supplements, they made me very sick, I suffered some of the rare side effects like muscle weakness, but I am one of those people that herbs really affect. On our actual attempt we BD on the day I ovulated roughly about O+6 and then I did a vinegar douche immediately after. I did not dilute the vinegar and it stung like crazy (not recommended). Straight away I had to rinse the outside with cold water, sorry TMI.

As for my husband, he's a long distance runner and trains 5 days a week. He took no supplements but I did make sure we BD after one of his long runs so he was all warmed up down there.

The other thing I did was mind affirmations for a few months where I just kept saying to myself "Our next baby will be a girl". It seemed silly at first but by the time we BD I felt like I really believed it and I think it helped. Sometimes it's mind over matter and I truly believe the saying "Ask and ye shall receive". If you are honest about what you want and put it out there in the universe (prayers or whatever you believe) I think the universe responds accordingly, but if doesn't know it can't help you. Anyway hope this helps some of you in your sway attempts, goodluck!

Huge congrats!

Just wanted to mention for anyone reading this - I really really do not recommend Lydia Pinkham.
